My friend... that is wrong. We don't place faith in faith. We put faith in Christ which is trusting Him. Putting in faith in faith is your own words, not scriptural words.

thankfully, heir, our faith is in Someone Awesome and Holy outside ourselves.
Something He did apart from us, untainted by us, yet we are the beneficiaries of His Work!

what trouble we would be in without Him.
what an awesome God we have!
