My whole family is Catholic. I was a Catholic for over 20 years. We never studied the Scriptures. In fact none of my family even knows what is in the Scriptures.

Most Catholics do not know nor understand what the Scriptures say. A good example is where the Catholics teach Mary was without sin but yet God says ALL have sinned and none are righteous, no not one, but yet this does not stop the Catholics from teaching the lie that Mary was without sin.

Private interpretation in the hands of the Catholic Church is a very, very, very dangerous thing as we can see how they have interpreted the Scriptures to favor their God Mary.

I live in a city that is predominately Catholic. On Sundays coming home, I pass two Catholic churches letting out from services. I have never seen a single parishioner carrying a Bible.

The readings are in the pew in the missal. Unfair charge and intent. Looks can be deceiving in this case. But that's really what you all do, look at something you don't understand and creates myths about it

ZZ, other than mass, where do you go to study? I mean learn the word.

Even in most Protestant church's you get nothing but the simple gospel and how to live clean.

A Missal is used for liturgy of mass and man made sacraments and traditions.. A missal is NOT A BIBLE.

Catholics are NOT allowed to study the Scriptures by themselves. Its a Mortal sin to read the Bible by yourself. They can only study the Bible with a Catholic priest reading the Bible and they HAVE to accept what the Priest says.

If they question what the Catholic Priest says, that is a Mortal sin that will keep them out of Heaven.

Do you see how brain washed the Catholics are? They are NOT allowed even to think for themselves.

This is why you will NEVER see a Catholic carrying a Bible with them. This is why you will never see a Catholic quote from the Bible. If you look at what they say, its always what the Catholic Church says that they quote, not the Scriptures.

Catholics like zzz98 are in bondage to the Catholic Church because its the Catholic Church that one must follow to enter into Heaven. The Catholics are taught from birth that being outside of the Catholic Church one can never enter into Heaven. The Catholic Church teaches only by being a member of the Catholic Church can anyone enter into Heaven.

Roman Catholicism is that entity that is going to be used as that last day false religious system with one of the future Pope's as the false prophet. The antichrist is going to make it possible for the RCC to get the papal power that they desire, which is to bring all people under her system. And just like it was of old, anyone resists her will be labeled as a Heretic and therefore, an enemy of the Church. Because of what Constantine did by proclaiming Christianity as the official religion of Rome, the office of pope took on both political and religious authority and this is still their agenda. They just don't have the power to enforce it yet, but will When that antichrist comes and anyone who is not for them is against them. If anyone wants to truly find out about the history of the pope's and the RCC and all of their atrocities, I would suggest getting a copy of Dave Hunts: "A Woman Who Rides the Beast: The Roman Catholic Church in the Last Days." This book goes into detail regarding the office of the pope and its origins, how they controlled kings and their armies under threat of ex-communication, her involvement in the three major inquisitions, which included imprisonment, confiscation of property, torture and in many cases death. Her agenda is the same today and that is to bring all people under her control and anyone who does not comply will be a heretic and therefore an enemy, which will be dealt with by force.

Roman Catholicism and her pope's have forgotten what Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone will not listen to your words, when you leave that town shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them." Or When John and James said, "Do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them" Jesus said, "You do not know what kind of spirit you are of; for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them." When the pope and the RCC get the power back that they have desired, then the people will see her true colors.

Yep and I would add that you and I encountered that spirit with cassian and others in the "devil bound" thread. They come at at you from the back side in an argument that is unorthodox and a rabbit trail with definitions that are "coded" to trip you up.
