Jesus is the one who said this that it is impossible for man, and if man wishes to, okay, then if: the below verses are the requirements then:
Matthew 5:27-29
New International Version (NIV)
Adultery
[SUP]
27 [/SUP]“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ [SUP]
28 [/SUP]But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
[SUP]
29 [/SUP]If
your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell
Matthew 5:30
And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
Matthew 18:8
If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two
hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire.
It is very clear to me, that since I can't be perfect, and neither can anyone else, or Christ came in vain. being in and of flesh, that if I want to enter heaven through the Law, I would have to go as a torso. All my limbs cut off and thrown away.
Or I could trust and believe God that while I, we all, were still sinners. Christ being the only one that never did sin.
- Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- Romans 8:34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
- 2 Corinthians 5:14
- For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.
Colossians 1:22
- in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—
Who does Christ present us Holy to? By his death he has cleansed you, me and all who believe
So what is next after death. I see it as victory
Hebrews 2:14
- Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil
So through Christ's death, victory for you, me and all that believe yes?
John 11:25
- Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
So if you believe you are dead to self by the death of Christ, do you think you might experience the resurrection here and now? Is it possible?
Could this be what Christ meant when he said with man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible? Could it be Christ was talking about the resurrection? Where by it we get new life in God's Spirit, where thus we can worship God in Spirit and truth as is the only way today God can be worshipped?
- John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
- John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
- John 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
- John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
Praying for you to see the war, between flesh and Spirit of God
Galatians 5:16 [
Walking in the Spirit ] I say then: Walk in the
Spirit,
and you shall not fulfill the lust of the
flesh.
Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh;
and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
The above is why it so important to consider self dead to Flesh Spirit, by the crucifixion of Christ, being co-crucified with Christ in order to see the new life in the Spirit of God via the resurrection
All in love to all
