Jesus meant what he said. No man has ascended up into Heaven except the Son of Man.

I believe Moses and Elijah will be the two witnesses in the End Times. This is not in conflict with what I believe about Elijah being taken up to the first heaven (i.e. the atmosphere).

But what about Enoch? Wasn't Enoch translated and taken directly to Heaven? No. Enoch was translated, yes, but he was taken to be with the Lord in Paradise or what is known later as Abraham's Bosom, though. Again, no man has ascended into Heaven except the Son of Man (Just as Jesus said).

Well maybe not the part of heaven that God's thrown is located, but like you said previously there is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd heaven. So Elijah was still taken up to heaven just not the part of heaven where God's thrown is at. As for the two witnesses I thought for the longest time it would be Moses and Elijah because of the scene in Matthew 17:3. Now I am back and forth on that because of the scripture man is appointed to die once. So now I think it could be Elijah and Enoch, because Moses did die and if he is one of the two witnesses then he would did a second time at the hands of the man of sin.....So we will see !!!

A minister once said:

Hell is a place where God's presence does not exist
That minister is correct. When Hell is created, it will be a place that will be devoid of any attributes of God. LOVE, Kindness, Compassion, Mercy, Hope, Peace, Contentment, Joy, Happiness.
The spirit that is inside of each one of us, is immortal, it was created by Jesus Christ as immortal, it can't die or be killed, because Jesus made all spirit immortal. If the spirit inside of you does not go to Heaven for all eternity, it will for ever and ever be separated from God and His Kingdom, for all eternity, everlasting, without end. i know this, not only because the Bible very clearly and plainly teaches this, i know this because it is what God told me as well, and it lines up with Scriptures.
If satan could have been killed, God would have already done so. But Lucifer was made immortal, Lucifer is an offspring of God. We are offspring of God, hence the reason we are called the children of God and also it is written "ye are gods". God is immortal, all spirits that came from God are immortal. Demons are immortal. satan is immortal, the spirit that is within you is immortal. All of which Jesus created immortal.
Please read this article called The Meaning of Life or not, but i have offered to you the Truth to why we are all here, you can choose to read the article or choose to ignore that which God revealed to me concerning why we are all here on this planet.

There is nothing that can't be destroyed by eternal fire. Satan and sin are not going to be allowed to exist for eternity. Men are not immortal. We have a soul, but God can destroy that soul without "lifting a finger".

Ezekiel 18:20 "The soul who sins shall die."

Matthew 10:28 "
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell"

also called outer darkness where there is weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth. Those who refuse God's ultimate sacrifice will dwell there forever.
There are...

264 references to the fate of the lost.

15 cases (6%) refer to anguish – this includes tribulation and distress (Rom. 2:9), deliverance to tormentors (Mt. 18:34), outer darkness (Mt. 22:13), wailing and grinding of teeth (Mt. 25:30), the undying worm (Mk. 9:48), beaten with many stripes (Lk. 12:47), the birth-pains of death (Acts 2:24), sorer punishment (Heb. 10:29).

20 cases (8%) speak of separation from God, which carries no connotation of endlessness unless one presupposes immortality: 'depart from me' (Mt. 7:23); 'cast him into the outer darkness' (Mt. 22:13); he 'shall not enter' the kingdom (Mk. 10:15); 'one will be taken and the other left (Lk. 17:34); 'he is cast forth as a branch' (Jn. 15:6); 'outside are the dogs', etc. (Rev. 22:15). This concept of banishment from God is a terrifying one. It does not mean escaping from God, since God is everywhere in his creation, every particle of which owes its continuing existence to his sustaining. It means, surely, being utterly cut off from the source and sustainer of life. It is another way of describing destruction.

10 (that is 4%) call it Gehenna, which conjures up the imagery of the Valley of Hinnom outside Jerusalem, notorious for the hideous rites of Moloch worship, in which children were thrown alive into the red-hot arms of the god – an abomination in the eyes of the Lord (Lv. 18:21; 20:2-5; 2 Ki. 23:10; 2 Ch. 28:3; 33:6; Je. 7:31; 32:35). It is often said to have been the site of the city's rubbish tip in the days of Christ, where bodies of criminals and animals were thrown, but evidence for this is late and unreliable. It is in any case an evil place in which are pictured corpses being consumed by fire and maggots as in Isaiah 66 (Mt. 5:22,29,30; 10:28; 18:9; 23:33; Mk. 9:43,45,47; Lk. 12:5). Two of these call it the Gehenna of fire.

There are 26 other references (that is 10%) to burning up, three of which concern the lake of fire of the Apocalypse. Fire naturally suggests destruction and is much used for the destruction of what is worthless or evil.
It is only by a pedantic use of the modern concept of the conservation of mass and energy that it is possible to say that fire destroys nothing. It has a secondary use as a cause of pain, as in the case of the rich man of the Lazarus story.

51 (22%) speak of destruction, perdition, utter loss or ruin. Our Lord himself in the Sermon on the Mount uses destruction, which he contrasts with life, as the destination of those who choose the broad road (Mt. 7:13). Paul uses it of 'the objects of his wrath – prepared for destruction' (Rom. 9:22); of 'those who oppose you' who 'will be destroyed' (Phil. 1:28); of the enemies of the cross of Christ whose 'destiny is destruction' (Phil. 3:19). 'The man of lawlessness is . . . doomed to destruction' (2 Thes. 2:3); harmful desires 'plunge men into ruin and destruction' (1 Tim. 6:9). Hebrews 10:39 says 'we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who believe and are saved.' 2 Peter speaks of 'destructive heresies . . . bringing swift destruction . . . their destruction has not been sleeping' (2:1-3). 'The present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men' (3:7). The old order will disappear and 'the elements will be destroyed by fire' (3:10-12). The beast will 'go to his destruction' (Rev. 17:8,11).
The very common word apollumi is frequently used of eternal ruin, destruction and loss, as in John 3:16: 'should not perish', but it is also used of the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son, who, though metaphorically dead and whose life was in total ruin, was restored (Lk. 15).

25 cases (10%) refer to death in its finality, sometimes called 'the second death'. Without resurrection even 'those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished' (1 Cor. 15:18). This has been brought out with great force by a number of modern theologians like Oscar Cullmann, Helmut Thielicke and Murray Harris. They show that the teaching of the New Testament is to be sharply contrasted with the Greek notion of the immortality of the soul, which sees death as the release of the soul from the prison of the body. What the Christian looks forward to is not a bodiless entrance 'into the highest heavens' at death but a glorious transformation at the Parousia when he is raised from death. Life is contrasted with death, which is a cessation of life, rather than with a continuance of life in misery.

108 cases (41%) refer to what I have called unforgiven sin: adverse judgment, in which the penalty is not specified (e.g. 'they will receive greater condemnation' (Mk. 12:40)); life forfeited, with the wrath of God resting on the unbeliever (Jn. 3:36); being unsaved, without specifying what the saved are delivered from (Mt. 24:13). Other passages show salvation contrasted with lostness (Mt. 16:25), perishing (1 Cor. 1:18), destruction (Jas. 4:12), condemnation (Mk. 16:16), judgment (Jn. 3:17), death (2 Cor. 7:10), never with everlasting misery or pain.

There is one verse (Rev. 14:11) – this represents less than a half of 1% – which refers to human beings who have no rest, day or night, the smoke of whose torment goes up for ever and ever, which we shall come back to in a moment. However, the words forever and ever is translated from the Greek "ages to ages" which is past tense and not future tense.
It is a terrible catalogue, giving most solemn warning, yet in all but one of the 264 references there is not a word about unending torment and very many of them in their natural sense clearly refer to destruction.

4% Gehenna - The Valley of Hinnom (Garbage dump outside Jerusalem)
10% to buring up
22% destruction, perdition, uttler loss, ruin.
10% death is finality

So... 46% out of the 264 references to the fate of the lost are in favor of Conditional Immortality and not Eternal Torment. Eternal Torment is a view that is based off just a few verses taken out of context.

Immortality of the Soul

There is thus a great weight of material which prima facie suggests destruction as the final end of the lost. The traditional view gains most of its plausibility from a belief that our Lord's teaching about Gehenna has to be wedded to a belief in the immortality of the soul. A fierce fire will destroy any living creature, unless that creature happens to be immortal. If man is made immortal, all our exegesis must change. But is he? From Genesis 3 onwards man looks mortal indeed; we are clearly told that God alone has immortality (1 Tim. 6:16); immortality is something that well-doers seek (Rom. 2:7); immortality for the believer has been brought to light by the gospel (2 Tim. 1:10) – he gains immortality (it would appear) when he gains eternal life and becomes partaker of the divine nature; immortality is finally put on at the last trump (1 Cor. 15:53). No, say the traditionalists, God in making man made him immortal, so that he must live on, not only beyond death but also beyond the second death, for ever and ever. The fires of hell will continue to inflict pain on persons they cannot consume.

In other words, you have to presuppose ECT (Eternal Conscious Torment) upon the passage that talks about "outer darkness", but it doesn't actually teach ECT in and of itself, though. A person needs to have a clear solid case of verses in the Bible that specifically teach ECT; And there are not many of them. Everlasting punishment is referring to how the consequences will have everlasting results. For it is everlasting punishment and not everlasting punishing (or torture). There is a difference.

Also, People read the story of Lazarus and the Richman and they don't know what is actually going on, too. They do not tie that story to real life in any way. For if an evil man were to place someone into a camp fire and hold them there, how could they carry on a normal conversation with the evil man? A person held down in a fire is going to be mindlessly screaming and they will not be able to talk normally with anyone. But this is what ECT proponents want you to believe. They want you to ignore reality and just accept their version of the truth. But it doesn't work like that, though. Jesus always illustrated spiritual truth with real world examples. So what was going on? Well, the Richman was tormented by the heat of the flame that was in front of him in the great gulf fixed between him and Abraham. For the Lake of Fire is beneath Hades (Hell); And one day Hades will be dropped down (cast) into the Lake of Fire whereby it will destroy both body and soul of all of it's inhabitants. For the Scriptures say the last enemy to be destroyed is death. Which suggests, there are other enemies of God that need to be destroyed.

Malakyah 4:1-4,"For, behold, the day comes that will burn like an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all who do wickedly, will be stubble--the day that comes will burn them up, says Yahweh of hosts; and it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who reverence My Name, the light of righteousness will arise with healing in its wings; and you will go out, leaping like calves released from the stall. And you will tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I will do this, says Yahweh of hosts. Remember the Law of Mosheh My servant, which I commanded through him in Horeb for all Israyl, with the statutes and judgments."

Malachi 4 World English Bible

The Great Day of the Lord
1"For, behold, the day comes, it burns as a furnace; and all the proud, and all who work wickedness, will be stubble; and the day that comes will burn them up," says Yahweh of Armies, "that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. 2But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out, and leap like calves of the stall. 3You shall tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I make," says Yahweh of Armies.

4"Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances.

The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. 2But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. 3And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts.

Revelation 19:13-15:, "And He was wrapped in a tallit dipped in blood, and the Name of Him is called: Yahshua--The Salvation of Yahweh. And the armies in heaven clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him upon white horses, And out of His mouth goes a sharp, two-edged sword, that with it He should strike the nations; and He will rule over them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty Yahweh."

Jeremiah 23:29 - [Is] not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer [that] breaketh the rock in pieces?

Psalms 119:105 - NUN. Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Revelation 12:11 - And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

1 John 1:1 - That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

1 Peter 2:24 - Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Ephesians 6:17 - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

You shall tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes

there is no eternal torment for humans only ashes or kingdom.

Yeah, thru out the whole of Scripture, God defeats and destroys His enemies. The Lord never kept alive His enemies to endlessly torture them for the rest of their lives.

Phillipians 3:20, "But our citizenship is in heaven, out from which we also eagerly wait for our Ruler, Yahshua Messiah the King."

Ezekiyl 48:35, "The distance around the city will be eighteen thousand measures; and the name of the city from that day will be: YAHWEH SHAMMAH! (Yahweh Is There)"

Revelation 21:3-4, "And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: Behold, the tabernacle of Yahweh is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and Yahweh Himself will be with them, and be their Father. And Yahweh will wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, nor will there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away."

Hebrews 13:14
"For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come."

Revelation 21:4-8 And Yahweh will wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, nor will there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away. And He Who sat upon the throne, said: Behold, I make all things new. And He said to me: Write, for these words are true and faithful. And He said to me: It is done! I am Aleph and Tau, the Beginning and the End. I will give to him who thirsts of the fountain of the water of life freely. He who overcomes will inherit all things; and I will be his Father, and he will be My son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and worshipers of false gods, and all liars, will have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone--which is the second death."

Revelation 21:9-27, "And there came to me one of the seven malakim who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying: Come, I will show you the brides, the Lamb's wives. And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Yahweh Shammah, descending out of heaven from Yahweh, Having the glory of Yahweh. And her light was similar to a most precious stone, just like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; And had a great and high wall, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve malakim, and names written upon them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israyl: On the east, three gates; on the north, three gates; on the south, three gates, and on the west, three gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And he who talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and its gates, and its wall. And the city lies four square, and the length is as large as the breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand stadia; about 1,500 miles. The length, and the breadth, and the height of it are equal. And he measured its wall: a hundred and forty-four cubits, according to human measurements, that the malak was using; about 216 feet. And the construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth beryl, The fifth emerald, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth onyx, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, as it were, transparent as glass. And I saw no pagan sanctuary in it; for THE Tabernacle OF YAHWEH, the body of Messiah, was in it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it; for the glory of Yahweh does enlighten it, and its lamp is the Lamb. And the nations of those who are saved will walk in the light of it. And the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it. And the gates of it will not be shut at all by day, for there will be no night there. And they will bring the glory and honor of the nations into it. And there will by no means enter into it anything that defiles, nor works abomination, neither a lie; but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life."

Revelation 3:5, "He who overcomes, the same will be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name from The Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His malakim."

doesn't the Bible say God is angry with the wicked every day?
As others have noted, hell is about Justice.

the question of God's love is answered in that while we were yet hating him he sent his son to reconcile us to himself.
I think your poll and your question are a little skewed. possibly speaking of the unwise questioning of God.
no offense intended just my opinion tread lightly.

Well, the Scriptures say, God is love (1 John 4:8). The Scriptures do not say God is hate or that God is wrath. For so LOVED the world that He gave His only begotton Son... (John 3:16). For God is not willing that any should PERISH but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:19). For Jesus asked the Father to forgive those who were crucfiifying Him. Why would He do that? Didn't they deserve Wrath for crucifying Jesus? We have to remember that God sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. So the false notion that God is unloving in any way and that He has some hateful side is just not true. Everything God does is done out of love and not hate. God can get angry, but he does not let it consume or rule his good judgment and or over rule His love for His people and or all of His creation. God always acts perfectly in love.

Actually, while I believe this is not a salvation issue, I believe it is the ECT proponent who is the one who will be rebuked by the Lord for holding to such a belief because Eternal Torment cannot be demonstrated in real life as being just and good. Torturing people way beyond what the crime calls for is not fair and just and you know it. So not only can ECT not be supported on a moral level but it is not supported by the Scriptures, either. You believe ECT because that is all you have ever been taught. Please seek the Scriptures on this matter for yourself with God's help and you will find out the truth for yourself, my friend.

God has offered all His eggs in one basket since the day He decided to make Jesus His plan for us. The perfect plan. All the things found in the torment of Hell is Gods reward of opposites on the other side. And we know this is His will for us to have, the blessings of Heaven, He has literally made way for this earthly wicked vessel to have communion with Him in heaven. It takes a pause to understand the gravity of that meaning.. So in the nature of His purity there are rules that apply for such a blessing. He wanted us to have it all... The inability to allow sin in the gates, was the cost to such a blessing.. So, Hell is fair,

we won't say that as we enter it, but thats why He is so fervent in His love for us now to have the Hope of things yet to come, and to have us understand in absolutes the importance of accepting this free gift in Christ correctly. My biggest fear used to be the gnashing of teeth and fire, horrible pain in fire. Worse than drowning etc etc..Yet, now I am in fear of the lack of Hope. We have never known that. And suddenly there is nothing more frightening than a fear you can't name for eternity.

Let's face it, there will always be a group of people who can't hack it and hate the truth of what Hell really is, and there will be a million invalid unbiblical reasons supporting this false claim that hell is not ECT.

God hates sin, he hates evildoers, because he loves what is holy.
But hey, we men know best(!)

The Smoke of their Torment goes up forever and ever..... IF SOMEBODY is tormented, they are CONSCIOUS of it.. Gehenna fire will be the Eternal State of the devil and his angels, Non Elect, and the damned, The wicked who never tasted the Grace of God, but tried to climb up some other way.. so you have a Lake of Fire that Burns you and does not consume you... and where the Worm dieth not... Supernatural place.. the fire that burns, yet does not Consume? Remember Moses and the bush that burned yet was not consumed? mmmmmmmm there you have it..

Gehenna fire or hell fire, is real... is it loving? its the end result of disobedience... 2nd death, God didnt have to come here and Save, thru His Son's appeasement on the tree, but He did, because He was loving and GOOD.. He could of let all of us , end up there... but that is not the case.. Love was manifested at the Cross, to keep some from Gehenna Fire... indeed.. Narrow is the Way.. Broad is the Way to destruction.. and there be MANY that will be there... Going to be alot of 'good people' in Gehenna fire.. unfortunately their goodness, wasnt enough to TRUMP the Righteousness of Christ.. this they 'thought' or were deceived into believing.. because their minds were blinded.. God is dealing with the issue of Sin.. and in the New Heavens and New Earth, He will have no part in it... Hades is emptied, its occupants judged and place in Gehenna Fire, Hades itself is tossed in there, Death itself will be there along with sin, the Devil and the non elect Angels..... the New Heavens and New Earth.. will be just as it was suppose to be in the Original Eden, before the tempter seduced Eve.... all things are Made New by the Sacrifice of the Son, His Appeasement on the Tree, and His Resurrection which Paves the way for New Life, New Heavens and New Earth!, where God literally dwells amongst His People as it was in the Original Eden before the fall.. God's Spirit is Here on this earth, Its n the Heavens, its also In Hades.... one thing... Gehenna Fire... God will NOT BE THERE... absent, forever... no coming out and having milk and cookies and conversing with Him.. nope.. those there will 'know' where they are..

Do any of you remember, why hell was created in the first place?
It was created for the devil and his angels who first rebelled against the Almighty God, in heaven.

It wasn't created for us but all unbelievers will have their part in the lake of fire. When one don't repent and accept the only begotten son of God as their personal savior, then they will surely spend all eternity in the lake of fire because hell itself will be cast into the lake of fire.
