What about same-sex liaisons in the animal kingdom?
That rarely happens because of man-made artificial confinement. It never happens in a free natural environment.

Can you provide a reputable source to prove this statement?

If not, then can you at least tell me how came to find out about this?

Thaddeus,

What makes you think that the other things you listed from Romans 1 are not preached against? Have you attended every service of every church in every city, county, state, country, continent....?

Are you suggesting that we stop preaching against any sin just because some are guilty of other sins?
Jesus came not pointing out peoples sins, He came pointing to the Father and He brought a lot of Heaven to earth.

He loved people, whereby He fulfilled the law of God.

Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, with all of your mind and with all of your strength, and then love your neighbor as yourself.

Ask yourself before you judge a persons sin, would I want to be loved this way, will I treat others the way I want to be treated, even on my worst day?

He did not come to condemn, he came to save that which was lost.
Do you see Jesus throwing stones at the woman caught in adultery, No!
He showed the love of the Father to a woman worthy of death,
Let he who has no sin cast the first stone He said,
Homosexuality is not different than sex outside of marriage, nor is back biting,
nor is being unloving, or judgmental.

Read Romans 2
Therefore you are inexcusable,
O man,
whoever you are who judge,
for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself;
for you who judge practice the same things.
But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.
And do you think this,
O man,
you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness,
forbearance, and longsuffering,
not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

I charge you before God,

Where is your goodness?
Where is your forbearance and longsuffering?

If we are to be like our Father, we are to love.
He loved us so much He sent His Son, Why?
Because we all fall short of Gods glorious standards!

Are any of us without sin Yet?
NO!
So who can throw the first stone, not me!

Jesus is here to forgive, not condemn!

We are to point to the Father and the Father is love.
There is only one way to the Father and that way is Jesus.

Maybe people who don't understand what salvation is, like the Jews and the Pharisees, are the ones always pointing out other peoples sins.
If you understood what salvation was you would not spend so much time pointing out other peoples sins, you would spend your time point to the Father which is love.
God is love and those who love are of God.

Without love it is all meaningless. 1Cor.13

Sin is sin. Telling lies, talking about people, hating, unforgiveness, bitterness. There are many, many sins. God came to set people free. He loves them. We have all sinned and will always sin. God forgives. We can pray for the gay people to be set free from being gay. That is what God would want us to do rather than keep saying gay people are doing something wrong. A person being gay is not Gods will just the same as a person getting cancer is not Gods will. Pray!

Animals, like men, become perverted sexually and victims of an exaggerated sexual urge when they are subjected to artificial feeding and confinement. Thus apes, when confined to a cage and fed on meat and other sexually stimulating food, while previously gentle and tame on a fruit diet, become extremely licentious and vicious. Then they masturbate excessively and have intercourse daily, while the female consequently menstruates as freely as a woman. (Other female mammals leading more natural lives do not menstruate, though under domestication and excessive feeding, cows and other species do.)

Excellent job of copy and paste. I only wish this was taken from a scientific/news site.

As to the question of one being born gay. It really makes no differance. Scripture sayss we must deny our very selves to come to Jesus. This applies to all of ourselves.

I'm curious what makes those sins worse? Blasphemy I can see in one sense, but the others are certainly to be found more commonly, in fact almost universally.

Although I agree the act of homosexuality is a sin. Doesnt scripture say that the wages of all sin is death. That the only way that this death is overcome is through Jesus Our Lord ans savior?
So why pick on one type of sin?
I tell you what, let he or she that is without sin throw the first stone at the homosexual.
God bless, pickles
It seems this needed to be repeated.
God bless, pickles

I believe that homosexuality is a sin just like I believe lying is a sin, and cheating is a sin, and stealing is a sin. Does that mean I've never lied, and my only friends always tell the truth? No, because I'd be very lonely. So I've sinned just like every other person has sinned.

The Bible says, "He who has not sinned may cast the first stone." I don't believe it's my job to judge someone. I have gay friends, and they know I don't agree with their lifestyle, but I know I've committed my own share of sins. I don't think it would be fair of me look down on them when I have my own sins to repent of.

As far as punishing gays by deatht?! That doesn't seem like a Christian act at all!!!

it's found in the old testament true, but if you are going to follow EVERYTHING in the bible you should also follow these things as well:
there is found in your midst, in any of your 1towns, which the Lord your God is giving you, a man or a woman who does what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God, by transgressing His covenant,
3 and has gone and aserved other gods and worshiped them, bor the sun or the moon or any of the heavenly host, cwhich I have not commanded,
4 and if it is told you and you have heard of it, then you shall inquire thoroughly. Behold, if it is true and the thing certain that this detestable thing has been done in Israel,
5 then you shall bring out that man or that woman who has done this evil deed to your gates, that is, the man or the woman, and ayou shall stone them to 1death.

*basically you have to stone to death anyone who believes something different than you.

any man takes a wife and goes in to her and then 1turns against her,
14 and charges her with shameful deeds and 1publicly defames her, and says, ‘I took this woman, but when I came near her, I did not find her a virgin,’
15 then the girl’s father and her mother shall take and bring out the evidence of the girl’s virginity to the elders of the city at the gate.
16 “The girl’s father shall say to the elders, ‘I gave my daughter to this man for a wife, but he 1turned against her;
17 and behold, he has charged her with shameful deeds, saying, “I did not find your daughter a virgin.” But 1this is the evidence of my daughter’s virginity.’ And they shall spread the garment before the elders of the city.
18 “So athe elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him,
19 and they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver and give it to the girl’s father, because he 1publicly defamed a virgin of Israel. And she shall remain his wife; he cannot 2divorce her all his days.
20 “But if this 1acharge is true, that the girl was not found a virgin,
21 then they shall bring out the girl to the doorway of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her 1to death because she has acommitted an act of folly in Israel by playing the harlot in her father’s house; thus byou shall purge the evil from among you.

*Okay, so everyone who has parents who had sex before they got married. (I'm imagining quite a few.), I hope you're prepared to have her stoned to death in front of your grandfather. (because we "have" to do everything in the bible

No one of illegitimate birth shall enter the assembly of the Lord; none of his descendants, even to the tenth generation, shall enter the assembly of the Lord.

*I hope none of your ancesters were illigetimate, or you aren't making it to heaven :(.

If there is a dispute between men and they go to 1court, and 2the judges decide their case, band they justify the righteous and condemn the wicked,
2 then it shall be if the wicked man 1adeserves to be beaten, the judge shall then make him lie down and be beaten in his presence with the number of stripes according to his 2guilt.

*yeah that's definetely how court works.

there are a ton more verses I could show you, but I'm sure you get the point.

As for my personal opinion on homosexuality, I don't see anything at all wrong with it.

It isn't harming anyone, and I firmly believe that being gay is not a choice.
Being prejudiced against gays, is worse than being prejudice against someone for any sort of belief, and is on just about the same level. (The mean level, and the stupid level.) of racism.

Well you don't listen to God's Spirit and probably don't know Him, that's God's personal opinion.

I should also listen when he says that my mom should be stoned to death? (she wasn't a virgin when she got married.), or that my Grandmother will never make it into heaven? (she's an illigetimate child.)

Romans 1
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.
27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Luke 16:15
And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

As for the 1st verse: the fact that it is in the new testament does not justifiy your prejudice, please give me a real reason for being prejudice. (IE reasons why it is harmful.)

as for the 2nd verse: I'd like to think that there isn't any sort of sexuality that is "Highly estemeed" among men.

I doubt you really care what the bible says in the first place, so go and read Romans 1:18-32 for yourself and tell me if you still agree homosexuality is natural and not a sin.

Second, I quoted Luke 16:15 because you are trying to justify your sin, by trying to making it sound like God doesn't care about homosexuality.
