Psalm 23
1The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

hi Jon4TheCross:
you're just not seeing what it means. that's okay. put your mind at ease:)
ESV absolutely teaches Jesus is God:)
you know that our translations, including KJV, are not infallible in and of themselves, don't you?
i use and love the KJV.
but i refer you to Hebrews 4:8 to see the KJV translators (who, trembling, let us know by letter they were fallible) made a mistake. not a small one either.
but it's all good.
God Bless.

It's a matter of confusion. Jesus did use the fact that He is God to his advantage, don't you see that?

I read the Bible (KJV) like this:
Php 2:6 Who,G3739 beingG5225 inG1722 the formG3444 of God,G2316 thoughtG2233 it notG3756 robberyG725 to beG1511 equalG2470 with God:G2316

I challenge you to read your version to those who you minister to, and ask them what they think it's saying, then read the KJV, and ask them what they think it's saying (if you understand it, great, but it seems you don't if you think Jesus/God did not use the fact that He is God to His advantage?).

I'm not saying the KJV is perfect, but reading it the way I do is very edifying. I was just trying to warn you about the words which mans wisdom teaches.

1Co 2:13 Which thingsG3739 alsoG2532 we speak,G2980 notG3756 inG1722 the wordsG3056 which man'sG442 wisdomG4678 teacheth,G1318 butG235 whichG1722 the HolyG40 GhostG4151 teacheth;G1318 comparingG4793 spiritual thingsG4152 with spiritual.G4152

G725
ἁρπαγμός
harpagmos
har-pag-mos'
From G726; plunder (properly concrete): - robbery.
