the theory of humans and angels producing offspring is false...it is inspired by ancient pagan notions of demigods...and it defies the bible's own explanation for the purpose of the flood...

the bible emphasizes the wickedness and violence of humanity as the reason for the flood...genetic purity had nothing to do with it...

Matthew 24:37-38
(37) But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
(38) For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

This verses says as in the days of Noah, Marrying and giving in marriage. So where do we see that in Noah's time?
Genesis 6:2
(2) That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

So since Jesus said 'as in the days of Noah' then do we see the same thing today angels marrying today? Or is it referring to something else? Or do we see people of God marrying people who do not follow God? Do we see the world coming into the church?

God instructed His people not to make marriages with people who do not follow God or they will turn them away
Deuteronomy 7:3-4
(3) Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
(4) For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.
2 Corinthians 6:14
(14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

What has one to do with the other, you take scriptures out of context and time lines and confusing the issue, trying to grasp any straw you can find and then rather building a strawman here...
Have there been no times after Noah until the end times where people have been marrying or given in marriage or where they have been eating and drinking? Not about who they marry or what they are actually eating and drinking - TWO totally separate issues.
Let's look at the comparable scripture in

Luke17:26-30
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Well Jesus doesn't only mention Noah here but also Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah. Why? Because in both of these events we do see similar things of sin abounding and people not fearing God and just living vain lives not honoring God, just before a severe judgment was coming and in both times a remnant was saved out of the whole group. That's the reason this was used! It doesn't have to go into details why - like I said DIFFERENT issue!

Nice try - weak argument!
Also the scripture about intermarriage with other people (non-believers), not obeying God in this, is part of the law!
Well guess what, there was no law back then! People just have been multiplying ( a whole chapter devoted for that!), then it all of a sudden talks about the sons of God (not sons of men with daughters of men!) taking earthly wives - Heavenly sons - earthly daughters!

Anyways they were not inter-marrying with unbelievers but with fallen angels, I doubt that there were any real believers left to begin with except Noah, since it also says that all flesh had corrupted! There was no one clean anymore - so if God had not provided a way out of this for Noah and his descendants through this flood, killing everything else, this corrupt flesh would have gone on indefinitely and then polluted the seed through which Jesus was going to come!

Again here even the NIV makes a distinction:
1 When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

Even just by logic reasoning of interpretation. The term appears 4 times in the OT, in 3 of them it is absolutely clear that it describes angles, how do you justify using the same exact term for it with a totally different meaning just because this time the subject is beyond what you personally believe!? That is the opposite of the apologetical and hermeneutical way of dealing with this.

You have been avoiding my questions to you and not even been able to sensibly reply to any of my posts with real scriptural information pertaining to what I am presenting, for a productive discussion, but bringing side arguments that do not fit, instead of dealing with evidence already presented , which you totally disregard. So no matter what I say or how many evidences I do bring forward, you either avoid them or reject my comments, without giving it a real thought. So you do not want to know the truth, but it's now just about holding up that argument no matter how unjustified or speculative it is.
If this is too hard to believe and if you are in fear that this could actually be true then you would have to change your believe. This is not just for sake of argument of who is right and wrong but the truth, since this has further consequences on the rest of our understanding about God and the spiritual realm and the way we do spiritual warfare or the lack thereof. Of course the enemy doesn't want you to get to know the truth. If he can keep people in darkness of what really is going on they are going to be less effective!
That's what this is about!

So until you can at least take a position to my statements and questions and comment directly to what was presented already, objectively,, I rather use my time more constructively to help people on here that are open to learn and want help or asking for help.

Personally, once someone starts claiming fallen angles interbred with humans, I find it hard to take anything else they say seriously
That is of course your right and choice to make, but if this is the way you go by it and someone actually speaks the truth and you keep standing on your belief resisting it, you will have a hard time finding the deeper truth in things if you just tune everything out at your first dislike of a different viewpoint.

It appears to me that some here are making assumptions and displaying them as if they were fact. let us take a closer look at the scripture. First I will post the scripture in question.

Gen 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Gen 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
Gen 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
Gen 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
Gen 6:10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Gen 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
Gen 6:12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

I would like to take note of the context. Who is God upset with?

"...My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh..."
"...bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown."
"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth..."
"And it repented the LORD that he had made man..."
"And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them."
"...for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth."
"...The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth."

Answer: God is upset with man/flesh. there is no mention of spiritual beings here whatsoever.

One more question before we look at the sons of God in question here. what was the result of this union of sons of God with daughters of men?

Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Answer: It is also pertinent to note here that the result is Gods displeasure at this union towards man. later as we saw God also includes the animals in this but never mentions angels. the other result is that man became evil. suggesting that this was not the case before this union.

One more important thing to note. the giants are not at all considered in this passage to be a result of this union. this is a common myth that is dispelled by simply reading the scripture. "Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that," notice that the giants were both living on earth before and after. not just after. by the way when we read the word giants we always assume that it is some massive person. while this application is plausible it is by no means the primary meaning of the Hebrew word. this word denotes brutes, bullies, tyrants etc and is in link with the meaning of mighty men. which adds the content of strong and battle ready. in other words it matches with the texts after that speak of violence all over the earth. because that is exactly what bullies who can fight do.

OK so it is clear that God is only upset with humans in these verses and also that Giants were not a result of this union. for some this would be enough to question the myth of sons of God being angels but lets now look at the term sons of God.

When does the Bible tell us the term son of God means?

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the sons of God.

Here it is clear that men that are peacemakers and lead by the Spirit of God are also called sons of God. was there any people that followed God in the time that Noah lived?

Answer: yes the line of Adam through Seth did this. here are some more texts to verify this.

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Isa 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

by the way the bible clearly shows that it was the line of Seth that walked with God and thus would rightly and Biblically be called sons of God.

Gen 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
Gen 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

notice also that Seth is named here as a replacement of Able. this he is in contrast to Cain who was banished from Gods people and thus not a son of God.

Gen 4:16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
Gen 4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

notice that Cain also produced and his offspring lived in cities. thus Cain and Seth's line at this time was separate as it should be be the express leading of God to banish Cain form among Gods people.

What was Gods counsel on mixing with those who do not follow God?

answer: 2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2Co 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

It is clear that God does not desire those who are his sons and daughters to mix with those who are not. throughout the biblical record Satan has used lust to entice Gods people to leave the ways of God. there are many examples of this taking place and the Child of God being led to unfaithfulness through Godless women.

Deu 7:3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
Deu 7:4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

remember that we have seen that the sons of God is a term used for men who follow God and are led by His spirit.

now just quickly I will address the concept used in job to insinuate that sons of God is a term for angels.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

without going too far into this being that I am running out of time to type. we see here a group that has come together in heaven. only one we personally know. Satan

notice How Satan explains his right to be there:

Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. now for those who don't know or understand Hebrew mind thought this is a direct claim by Satan. What Satan is saying here is that he is the representative of earth.

now remember that Adam was given charge over the earth but lost it when he gave it to Satan through the fall. originally Adam was the son of God who would have been there with the other sons of God.

Luk 3:38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

so we learn something here. Satan has claimed to be the ruler of this earth and thus have a right to be our representative in heaven with the others who then must also fill a similar capacity from other planets created by God.

Are there other worlds?

answer: Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

here we are told that Jesus created more than one world. it also fits with the parable of the lost sheep. this sheep represents the one world that fell and how God left the other worlds to save this one.

there is more to it than that but that will do for now. note that even Jesus called Satan the prince of this world.

Joh 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

So we learn here that Adam who was the one given dominion over the world was also called the son of God. was not present at this meeting in heaven where we find other sons of God. but instead Satan comes and when God asked why he is there he answers with claim that he is the fitful leader of earth and thus able to be included in this meeting. had the fall not taken place this would have been Adam and the text would rightly read

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD.

instead of

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Notice that Satan is not a son of God.

Thus it becomes clear that those that followed God looked upon the beauty of the women that did not follow God and then married them and had children with them and they turned away from God. Simple and not assuming anything outside of that which is given in scripture.

God bless. I hope this makes sense, normally I would have provided more scripture but time is not on my side right now.

Well you can tell that to the many Bible Scholars and Translators that translated many of the well known Bible translations that mention or refer either directly or indirectly that they were angels also:

and those are the only the ones at my momentary disposal...

yep and you now know why there are so many translations....

2 Timothy 4:2-4
New King James Version (NKJV)
2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

but even amongst the Pharisees and Saducees Jesus still expounded His truth from Scriptures.

Big no on the Mormon question. and another no for the affiliation. I would have hoped the use of scripture would have answered that question. if I had more time I would have used more scripture.

blessings.

and those are the only the ones at my momentary disposal...
Why are you so determined to make people believe what you think is truth? There is no truth in what you say. Gotime put forward a very good study explaining well about the sons of God and you just pass it off as error. Like I said the other day you have your mindset, you are not even considering what other people put down.

Big no on the Mormon question. and another no for the affiliation. I would have hoped the use of scripture would have answered that question. if I had more time I would have used more scripture.

blessings.
Your theory seemed very promising in the beginning and convincingly put together but for someone who claims:

you didn't do so well towards the end of it

without going too far into this being that I am running out of time to type. we see here a group that has come together in heaven. only one we personally know. Satan

notice How Satan explains his right to be there:

Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. now for those who don't know or understand Hebrew mind thought this is a direct claim by Satan. What Satan is saying here is that he is the representative of earth.now remember that Adam was given charge over the earth but lost it when he gave it to Satan through the fall. originally Adam was the son of God who would have been there with the other sons of God.
Where did you get that from? That's not only speculation that is absolutely false. Jesus was the first "man" (having been a human being) after his resurrection and his ascension to enter heaven! NOBODY human before Him set a foot into heaven! Let alone resided there!
Before that righteous people who died went into Abraham's bosom, so Adam nor anybody else human for that matter could have been there, no matter what!

Luke 16:22
So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.

Luke 16:23
And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom
1 Corinthians 15:20-22

20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.

Where on earth did you get that from, wow, talking about speculation. People from other planets?! How or where is that biblical, please?! This is Mormon doctrine!

Are there other worlds?

answer: Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
This word here means "world" the total universe not different earths with other people... you take one word out of context of it's original meaning and fabricate a whole new gospel out of it. That's how cults start, e.g. Mormon doctrine!

here we are told that Jesus created more than one world. it also fits with the parable of the lost sheep. this sheep represents the one world that fell and how God left the other worlds to save this one.
Again this is a fairy tale, nowhere in the Bible does it say that and it just amazes me how you can read that into the parable of the lost sheep, and God leaving other worlds, sounds more like science fiction but not biblical, there is no indication or proof of this whatsoever but just made up to undermine scripture, again very much Mormon belief!

there is more to it than that but that will do for now. note that even Jesus called Satan the prince of this world.

Joh 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

So we learn here that Adam who was the one given dominion over the world was also called the son of God. was not present at this meeting in heaven where we find other sons of God.
We know why he wasn't present, because he was in Abraham's bosom. So who were these "other" sons of God, the Bible doesn't speak of "other" but just the sons of God! Again adding to scripture with the intend to alter meaning of original text and wording!

but instead Satan comes and when God asked why he is there he answers with claim that he is the fitful leader of earth and thus able to be included in this meeting. had the fall not taken place this would have been Adam and the text would rightly read

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD.

instead of

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

And now you are rewriting scripture for us, very interesting! No it would not have been written like that, again speculation and heresy - not biblical at all - fall or not fall, Adam would not be in there...

Notice that Satan is not a son of God.

Thus it becomes clear that those that followed God looked upon the beauty of the women that did not follow God and then married them and had children with them and they turned away from God. Simple and not assuming anything outside of that which is given in scripture..
So this is all clear?! Very simple not assuming anything outside what is given in scripture?! Really?! I would say the opposite is true. Assuming and speculating everything and nothing proven by scripture but presenting the speculation as fact.
With the paraphrased words of a fellow member here in the prior posts "How can you believe anything else someone says when he comes up with these fairy tales" - of other worlds and people in them and Adam being in heaven before Jesus, etc...

Did anybody in here reading this not see that? I so far have not seen any objection from anybody, or do you all believe this to be true??? Must be, since many thought what a wonderful post this was.
But I have brought scriptural evidence after the hermeneutical principal of apologetics and everybody has a fit over it and everything has been thrown out and rejected, just because it doesn't conveniently fit in YOUR belief system and "worldview". Go figure!

If they really followed God then why did they ALL marry women who did not follow God - "they took all whoever they liked"? Doesn't make sense if they were following God . BTW where were the women of God then at the same time and what happened to them? Were the women of God not beautiful enough to be taken? What did the men of men do in the meantime? Oh right, they must have hooked up with the women of God since they were the ones left over, since they were the women who followed God but rather shack up with the men of men since they liked the bad guys more?
... And still till today the nice women fall for the bad guys first! That's were they got that from, hmm no wonder!

Sorry, but I just couldn't resist!:D

For me the sons of God are those people who do good things, follow His commandments and spread His words.

If Enoch wrote this then it would have been written before the flood, here are some things which don't agree with the Bible
1. Observe ye everything that takes place in the heaven, how they do not change their orbits, ⌈and⌉ the luminaries which are in the heaven, how they all rise and set in order each in its season, and transgress not against their appointed order. 2. Behold ye the earth, and give heed to the things which take place upon it from first to last, ⌈how steadfast they are⌉, how ⌈none of the things upon earth⌉ change, ⌈but⌉ all the works of God appear ⌈to you⌉. 3. Behold the summer and the winter, ⌈⌈how the whole earth is filled with water, and clouds and dew and rain lie upon it⌉⌉.

The first mention of summer and winter in the Bible is after the flood. When God created the earth it had a water canopy around it so the environment would have been alot different before the flood.

Yes, Enoch was before the flood, as he was the 7th generation from Adam. Noah was Enoch's great great grandson. You are forgetting that Enoch was prophesying. He also prophesied about the end (the last days)

Here is another
1. Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spake, and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, and said to him: 2. '〈Go to Noah〉 and tell him in my name "Hide thyself!" and reveal to him the end that is approaching: that the whole earth will be destroyed, and a deluge is about to come upon the whole earth, and will destroy all that is on it. 3. And now instruct him that he may escape and his seed may be preserved for all the generations of the world.'
Genesis 6:13
(13) And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

The book of Enoch has Uriel speaking to Noah the Bible has God speaking to Noah. There is no mention of a Uriel in the Bible till long after the flood.
No man has seen God's face or heard his voice. Just like when God spoke to Moses, he spoke through the angel. God uses his angels as messengers.

Also another point is that Genesis 6 would have happened after Enoch was taken to heaven.
[/QUOTE]Enoch was 7th generation from Adam. Enoch was before the flood, prophesying. Enoch is a witness of the old world before the flood.

You can not dismis the book of Enoch. Jude quoted Enoch

Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints.

So are you wiser than Jude? Where is that prophesy written in the bible? I cannot find it in mine? The book is missing. So where is it and what is in it? We have to seek these things, as it is mentioned in the holy scriptures that Enoch prophesied. He was a prophet. The book may seem contradictory to you but if you look closely at it, there is not one contradiction.
You can give some more examples and we can look at it if you like.

By the way, I do not accept any other additional books other than this one. This one fits and does not contradict. I do however understand your reluctance, as I was of the same mind when I first came accross this book until my eyes were opened.

The book of Enoch is not part of the Bible so we cannot use that. Angels are not married so they do not procreate
[/QUOTE
]How come Jude mentioned Enoch, and Peter mentioned the angels that sinned and left their estate.
(1Peter 3:19 )

Yes this is true that angels dont marry and dont have the need for sex, but these fallen angels just did it because they can. They did it with the purpose of creating their own type of breed to corrupt Gods creation. Angels are a higher material than us and they can do anything we can do. They can materialise and dematerialise. They can eat, drink, etc. They can translate themselves into flesh. You are underestimating these creatures. They have boundaries, and these particular angels crossed this boundary because they cannot do anything without God's conscent, because God is also in charge of them. These ones are the ones locked up in prison (1Peter 3:19)

1Peter 4:6 For this cause was the gospel preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

So in other words, these spirit creatures will be judged just like a human will be judged.
