Thought I would toss a little humor in. I have no idea what a goad is or what it is you kick against. :)
You have never heard of an ox goad? When oxen were used for hauling or plowing, the man controlling them could use a stick with a sharp point to make them move forward (if necessary). It was generally a farming implement. Thus in the KJV "kick against the pricks" of the goad, so when the sharp point was applied to the animal it might kick in irritable response.

Back to the OP and irresistible grace, there is no such thing as irresistible grace in the Bible. To the contrary, the Jews were accused of ALWAYS resisting the Holy Ghost by Stephen (Acts 7:51). And here is the reason from Scripture why all men are not saved:

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. (John 3:19,20).

1 Tim 2:3-4
3 This is good, and it is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

If God desires all men to be saved and grace is irresistible then why are not all men saved?
Well first grace is not irresistible I myself resisted it for a long time. second yes God desires that all would be saved and come to know him but he treasures a willing child who would follow him and love him willingly instead of a controlled one. He gave us free will to choose because he knows that real love is one in which a child would choose him of their own accord, if he wanted he could force all of us to love him and be saved but that would defeat purpose. Believe me he would absolutely love to have every single one of us in his arms and you know he being the first parent knows the pain of losing a child more than any parent here on earth and I don't know if you have ever lost a child but losing just one child is so painful that it is enough to break a person.

I mean just absolutely soul shattering heart ripping anguish and despair that no parent or human being should ever have to feel, and yet he loses children every day and because his love is far more in depth than that of us humans I can't even imagine the anguish his heart suffers everyday. But like my signature says Jesus knew more than anyone that loves hurts

I don't believe He gives it to any whom He sees worthy, who is worthy of His grace?
I believe that those who genuinely seek to follow the Lord and His ways, would be considered worthy.

Neither do I believe He gives it to anyone He desires to give it too, I believe He desires to give it to everyone but not everyone knows its available or want it.
I would say that He does not desire to give it to those who reject the Lord and His ways. His parable in Matthew 7:6 could be applicable to those who choose to reject Him.

"6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you."

I consider "that which is holy" and "pearls" to = Grace.

I don't believe if someone sincerely asks that He wouldn't give it, not sure if you meant it that way but anyway.
If someone sincerely asked for Grace for the sake of fleeing damnation, yet were not willing to follow Him and His ways, i doubt that they would receive it.

That's why I said sincerely :)

Well, anyone could ask for grace, and be sincere about it. I can imagine those who rejected Christ, and are standing/kneeling before the Judge on Judgement Day, will be sincere when they beg for grace at that point in time. I wouldn't doubt, for a split second, in their sincerity for it to be granted to them.

But, what needs to be sincere...when asking for grace, is ones desire to follow Him and to do His Ways. ;)

Choose ye this day whom you will serve.

GOD wanted man to be able to make a choice.

You still don't understand, do you?
There must be darkness for light to be light and there must be evil for good to be good.

With GOD,ALL things are possible and since GOD created Everything ,whatever HE wants to exist, that's what will be.
So then the only thing that MUST be,Is what HE says must be and anything else Is just human reasoning.

Nope. That sounds like Eastern Mysticism, for in God ...

James 1:17 KJV
[17] Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

1 John 1:5 KJV
[5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

let's be 'real', especially for those of us who have lived for quite a while -
NOT everyone is 'called in their/this life-time' on this earth, for we have been first hand witnesses to
this very thing, whether in family or friends or such - read your Bibles and learn about the
2nd Resurrection - not only will it give you great relief for your 'loved ones', but also for
all of those that you have known throughout your lifetime...B & S's, READ your Bibles
and pray for The Holy Ghost's knowledge and understanding...

All will get a 1st chance to meet and get to know our Holy Saviour and given a choice to be with
and serve Him or not...Please read with an open and accepting heart of the Holy Scriptures...

The idea behind irresistible grace is that it only applies to the elect. You can't have the doctrine of irresistible grace without the doctrine of limited atonement (Christ's atonement only applies to the elect) which is only extended to those whom He has predestined for glory. Having said that, I am 100% Arminian when it comes to salvation. We are not moist robots. We are free moral agents who are given choices in life, and will face the rewards or consequences for those choices.

Ya can't have it both ways. Either we are responsible for our belief/unbelief, making salvation a choice WE MAKE, or God is in charge of our belief/unbelief, meaning we have nothing to do with our own salvation (lest any man boast of his works).

And the 'you are of course incorrect' is unnecessary. Share your opinions about scripture and keep the personal barbs to yourself. Unless you want to be shown once again how incorrect you are.

Deal? We talk scripture and leave personal insults out of it?
OSAS is not a matter of choice. God saves s by His grace. God draws us to Christ by His Holy Spirit. God convicts us of our sin by the righteousness of Christ and shows us the wage of sin which is eternal death in the lake of fire.

John 3:18-21 show the heart of man when confronted. Some come to the Light and some turn away loving their sin over the righteousness of Christ. God offered Cain a choice and Cain chose to reject Gods offer for forgiveness of his sin.

The Calvinist says you cannot choose but the bible teaches that we have a choice. We have the choice because Adam was given the knowledge of good and evil in the fall.

"God offered Cain a choice and he chose to reject..."

"We have the choice because Adam was given the knowledge..."

Given those two statements, I don't see how you conclude "OSAS is not a matter of choice..."

But then again I haven't had my morning coffee yet :)

Well we did choose Christ when the Holy Spirit ministered to us. We were then sealed unto the day of redemption. We were in the slave market of sin and had no choice until we were sought out by Christ. Now that we are in Christ we are His possession we are not our own.

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

We have one master and that is Christ our old master, sin, has been defeated at the cross.
