Why has the mainstream church become a powerless church?

I do not believe somebody who takes just verses out of context too proof his teachings. He might heal, but I doubt that Jesus is behind Him. In my eyes he is a false teacher! Where are the empty hospitals worldwide? I saw not in any news!
If you read the Bible you will find that healings and miracles where did in first line to show that Jesus is the son of God!!
All healed people died later, because of their weak ore sick body! If Jesus really wantet that people will be healed they would never again sick ore die! This he has for us in heaven, not on earth.

What church are you talking about not having power? Is this a Christian church?
I think that your source of information is tainted because Christianity has so much power that a new religious doctrine has started in order to take that power for their own that would be extremist Islam.
They see the power that the Christian church has over the world and they want that power for themselves.

I would say the people live their selfish life and not obeying God. This is the main reason. Power is what we can not produce, but WHAT the Lord gives. We are planting and watering the plant, but the grow is God duty. And I want add Power has nothing to do with heal and miracles. It has,m to do with acting according Gods will. Healing and miracles we can find also in sources which came from Satan!

The power of the Kingdom of Heaven is love expressed in righteousness.
As soon as this becomes judgementalism or a numbers game it is all lost.
And this is the picture painted by two cynics, and you bought it.
The gospel has always been about real need of love and how we express it from
an open heart.
When wealth and security were not so guaranteed, people saw through this world
and wanted to know Christ giving them true security in Him.
But now these realities are being replaced by entertainment, distraction and a cushy
life, why should anyone care? There are no real sins or issues to resolve out there,
the church is the same as the world, just the self righteous hyprocrites are denying
this.
The sad thing is people are believing this and living it.
This happened to Israel and Jeremiah prophesied against the nation.

I agree, and preachers have abandoned doctrine for messages that itch people's ears making them feel satisfied and accepted no matter what lifestyle they are living. Sin is not preached against but come as you are. The church of America is seeking to be like the world in all aspects of it's assembly trying to attract the world it's services. That's not biblical. Believers are to go out into the world and preach the gospel, save the lost, and then invite them to church to be fed and grow on the word of God.

We see by the NT the church was splintered back then. Even the 7 churches of revelation were not on the same page. The only reason the roman church was united as the only church for years is because it was run by the state, and anyone who did not follow it would be punished severely, up to and including death.

Peter, the rock, the apostles had a profound effect on the world because Jesus changed
their hearts so they walked in love and righteousness.
It is this change, from people who participated in orgies, sexual immorality, murder, theft,
and every other vice into people who lived clean lives and abounded in love and care, was
a light in a dark room.
This has always been the witness of the Holy Spirit in a believers heart.
