I catch your drift, Kayla.

Perhaps we should put ourselves in the shoes of the fox for a moment and consider how intimidating the gang of chickens may appear at first glance.

"...without love we are nothing...nothing but a clanging symbol..." (1 Cor 13)

No brother Justin, with all due respect, there would have been no chickens had the fox stayed out of the hen house. Clearly put Rachel20 brought it on herself. Whether people defend what I say isn't up to me. They saw Rachel20 as wrong and called her on it. But she continued to rail against me.

Quote"Maybe you need to read your Bible more." "
Your macabre obsession with death penalty and statements espousing for death of homosexuals is really sad and scary sister."

Quote "When quoting the Bible and Scripture passages, please ACTUALLY USE scripture verses instead of using what you think Jesus said or did."It's the Bible according to the Holy Spirit, not Bible according to Kaylagirl."

Quote "Such finer technical mistakes would not happen had you actually taken the time to read the Bible and post verses accordingly."

Quote "Did you know there was a death penalty even for that? [I hope you discuss Scripture with outstanding CC member kaylagirl ]"

Quote "After all, this is “christianchat.com” not “kaylasopinion.com”

After she's done mouthing off at everyone she suddenly leaves the thread when people call her on her attitude. I have apologized to people here when I was out of line, people here can attest to that fact. But I will not accept blame where it is not due. Rachel20 is 100% in the wrong. She owes us an apology for her childish and un-Christlike behavior. I wont hold my breath, some people are mature some are not.

Alright, Kayla. I'll have to 'agree to disagree' at this point. For, my intention was to prompt a call to empathize and show compassion--neither are concerned with blame.

Thats ok,we can disagree and still respect each other. When a person tears down another,as a Christian, I feel they should apologize. Rachel was in the wrong but I have not reported her nor blocked her. We may yet find something we agree on and become friends. I've done so with several people here. But if you are talking about empathy and compassion you are speaking to the wrong person,I said nothing out of line to Rachel at all.

Let's start a thread to promote adultery and fornication. .and see if these same folks make the same excuses for those sins? How about a murder thread? I have a feeling the same folks promoting the gay agenda would be fine with a murder thread..if it was promoting killing babies... some of you folks who excuse and defend these evil things. .seem to think you are "saved" be warned this day..you will never see the kingdom of God but have set yourself as a enemy to Christ.

Well she's certainly not a Neanderthal, which btw, is a term usually used in a derogatory way, sometimes referring to an animal. So in essence, you DID call her an animal. I also noticed you bolded the word "homo" as in homosexual. So some people may misunderstand your siggy quote.
Actually, I can't agree with you. IF she called me a homo sapien, I'm not upset with that. I am a homo sapien.

She didn't call me a Neandertal, so you can't really say she did. And, actually, I'm not really upset if she did call me that, simply because my own pet theory is the Neandertals were the giants/Nephilims of OT fame. They were people too, just a different species of people.

What I do find insulting and a bit childish is lying about who wrote that quote yet, busting others because we're just not as serious as she is. To me, that's plagiarism. I'm still a writer, so that's definitely one of my higher principles in treating people cool. (Not saying she's sinned because she plagiarized. I'm saying she sinned for stealing my words without crediting them to me or asking my permission.

But other humorous tidbit. She's offended that I called her an animal.Poppycock! (Which is NOT and animal. lol) If I called her a lioness, that might wel be her signature now. If I called her a thoroughbred, that might be her singature now. If I called her a Mama Near, that would be her signature. She's not offended I told her she has the traits of an animal. She's offended by my choice of animals.

And everyone knows me here. I AM Mama BEAR!

I don't mind disagreement. I mind it when folks think they're all so mighty that they alone are God's spokesperson, and the rest of us schmoes (also not an animal, unless you get technical and realize it is a stupid "homo sapien") are mere false teachers.

(Ever notice how often we become false teachers simply because we disagree?)

So, I disagree with you here, but, sorry, that doesn't make you a false teacher. I merely disagree with you.

And excuse me for the typos, but my Internet is acting up again, so I'm tired of playing with the formatting just to get back to where I typoed. I can barely (also not an animal, although a bear is, go figure) get the post to the size I like. Could for a second there, but can't since.

(Oh, and Rachel is as bad at leaving a thread as I am. Just sayin'. LOL)

Ok, so according to YOU, she's not a homo sapien, she's not a neanderthal, she's not even a donkey! Well, what is that!~

Wow blue_ladybug. I am sorry but I have to leave this thread right now. Hope you figure this one out on your own.

Peace :)

LOL Love the picture. I wish that would fit in my signature.

Rachel20 (and everyone), May I suggest that when someone does not perfectly understand what you are trying to communicate that you refrain from comments such as 'maybe you should read your Bible more'?

Keep the disparaging remarks to yourselves, people! Several people are guilty and they add no value to the conversation.
Ohhhh, IDK 'bout that. I think the guy carrying the donkey up the hill brought so much life into this thread. lol

LOL. You got your definition of homo sapiens from Wikipedia. NOT a reliable source, btw. Homo sapiens are most closely related to chimpanzees and apes. The term deals with evolution of the human race. We did NOT evolve from apes. :/ And to me, Lynn does NOT look like an ape..lol
Ack! This is killing me! I can't post my photo so I can point out the similarities. I think it's mostly the amount of chin hair the apes and I have in common.

This will have to do --

See? It IS the chin hair! lol (Okay, maybe the eye color too.)

No, seriously. A Gorilla gorilla (name of species, not a typo) and a gorilla beringi are both gorillas, but not the same species. We don't have to believe they evolved into that, but they both really do exist. In like kind, I'm a homo sapien. Really, I am. No negative feelings in that at all. To get upset about being called that is no different than being called brown eyed. I am what I am.

The thing that annoys me is directly related to snatching one of my little ditties without asking permission and without attributing it to me. And truth be known, I laughed when I saw it as Rachel's signy, but it's something like plastering the bumper sticker that said, "Honk if you love Jesus" on my car. I never wanted one because I know me well enough not to blame God for my aggressive driving. No way would I ever include something on my stuff, if I know it's going to come back and bite me in the tush, because I can't/won't live up to the hype.

Rachel has chosen a signy that she's already proving doesn't fit as something she can tell others to do -- especially on a "serious" level.

(Shoot, thought I could sneak in that photo at that moment when my Internet is working right. Can't even get the font the right size. ACK! lol)

LOL what? I'm not a hipster! And my hair is a buzzcut so throwing my head back won't throw my hair like rambo but just give me a sore neck :p
It's funnier when you have short hair and do hair-moves. I often do the fabulous-hair-swing specifically because my hair is so short it barely moves.

Sorry.... I LOL'd at that.... mental images....for some reason, Richard Simmons comes to mind.

My youngest granddaughter has been showing off her somersault skills (she calls it a cartwheel, but I don't correct her) and
when she finishes, she hollers "Ta-Dah" !
My image was Errol Flynn as Robin Hood. "Ta-dah" included. lol

I like your granddaughter!

Quote "I am sorry but I am a really serious Christian and it's not a laughing matter to me when people are careless with the Bible and Scripture verses."

I was saying the thread was getting nasty, people needed some laughter. It had nothing to do with Bible verses. It had to do with the mood. You're a serious Christian? Compared to who? The regulars here, all of us are very serious about being Christians. You're not a special breed of Christian, the ground at the foot of the cross is level.

Quote "I do think it's nasty when people indulge in name calling though!"

Well theres one thing we can agree on...

Quote "Also, I do support following the rules, as you can see, some of which I posted above "

Good for you. But there is nothing in the rules about posting Scripture verses.

Quote "It is just important to me to know where people are coming from when they reference the Bible so I don’t misunderstand them and vice versa."

Well some will post verses, some will not. If I have the time I do,sometimes I don't have the time. If you need clarification, ask the person.

Quote "After all, this is “christianchat.com” not “kaylasopinion.com”

Nor is it doitrachel20sway.com because she misunderstands and jumps a person instead of asking for clarification like an adult would. Your avatar is beginning to tell us a lot about your attitude. Childish.

Do NOT drink anything while reading this response.

And we all know it's just ridiculous to have childish avatars.

I have been reading some of the posts, and it is obvious everyone needs to calm down and realize that communication is a difficult thing to master. Shake it off, people:)
Because body language isn't shown online very well, here's my heads up. The last time I was on this thread and got angry was over something Mitsha said. I'm pretty sure it was on this thread. I can guarantee I don't remember what it was now, and wasn't worth getting angry over even if I did remember it.

Apparently, my words come off sounding much more than they are emotionally to me. I will tell how far my emotions got over what Rachel has said. Just my highest level of emotions, because give me three minutes of your time and I can describe about 20 emotions I've felt in that three minutes, even if we're both silent.

So my biggest emotional reaction? About up there with a child repeating "Mom. Mom. Mom. Mom" when "Mom" or I are in mid sentence. At best, it was merely a moment to silence the child before continuing the sentence. Same situation, and the only time anger hits would be if the child kept saying the same thing repeatedly after being dealt with the next time. Even there, a snap, not anger. Anger wouldn't hit until the third time.

And, I don't know if anyone noticed, but the warning shot worked, so I haven't hit annoyed even. (At least for what she says. I really don't like the plagiarism, but I suspect that will be dealt with quick enough, so that's merely annoyed, not angry.)
