If a bunch of my enemies wanted to know about what God has forgiven me for...I would not feel any need to speak of that or put it in a context they might think they have power to judge me. When Trump met with the some leading Christians in our nation in a private meeting, they all came out testify to the faith in Christ they witnessed in him...even the ones that was not sure they could support him testified to the sincere faith they seen in him.....
The interviewer asking Trump questions wasn't asking "what God has forgiven [Trump] for" but instead, if Trump has ever asked forgiveness from God.
I can freely admit I've asked God for forgiveness thousands of times. In fact, I repent daily to my Saviour Jesus Christ. However, this does not mean I am obligated to tell the world my sins. They weren't asking him that at all.
As for the witnesses speculation that Trump has faith in Christ, it's just as valid as the speculators that say Trump doesn't have faith in Christ. Personally, I don't have enough information nor am I able to read Trump's heart to give my opinion.
I just pointed out a fundamental paradox that Trump poses being a Christian: Christ is his personal Saviour, but he doesn't ask for forgiveness.
What is the point of having a Saviour if it isn't to atone for our sins? Or in other words, what is the point in claiming to be a vegan when you eat meat?
