I hate to sound like a lawyer, but if one were to ask me if identity politics works, my answer would be "depends."
Depends on what do you think? The way I see it, people are crying desperately for someone to speak for them. When someone does...they get off the couch and go vote. Lol. I think Trump has made it pretty apparent who Hillary, Romney, McCain, McConnel, Ryan, Obama etc etc speak for. There are more of us than there are of them. lol

trump made quite the freudian slip today...

while insinuating that cruz committed 'political suicide'...trump stated that cruz would have been much better placed for 'four years from now' if he had endorsed him in his speech wednesday night...

the only way cruz's position is even meaningful four years from now is if hillary clinton wins this november...

so even trump...in some tiny neglected speck of lucidity lost somewhere in his subconscious...knows that he can't win...

There are only two choices. Either you vote for Trump, or you don't. To not vote, or to waste your vote, is to vote for Clinton... because you know that without our votes, Clinton wins for certain.

So, If you don't vote for Trump, you actually vote for Clinton.
and if i -do- vote for trump...i vote for trump...which is just as bad as any direct or indirect vote for clinton...

i am going with the lesser of -three- evils...

Sadly, I don't think there are. And the otherwise decent people who will get "snitty" just to prove a point, will solidify the win for Hillary by wasting their chance to keep her out of the White House..

it was trump's words that assumed there would be an opening for a republican presidential run four years from now...not mine...

I don't think it could be simpler or more clear-cut.

Who do you NOT want in the White House more?

For me, that is Hillary. Another Clinton as president, THAT is American suicide.

I'm not disputing his words but for you to psychological diagnose it as a freudian slip leaves a little to be desired is all I am saying.

Trump just isn't careful with precise wording. It's part of his charm.

I think we'll all agree that we're never going back to "normal" as we understood it.
You've made an important observation. The future could see a swift acceleration towards more debt, more unrest, more war. As I listened to NPR on the drive home from the grocery store, they painted a picture of a desperate republican party that had it nominee embracing the LGBT community to the applause of delegates.

What I have observed is that in 2004, just after President Bush was reelected, the RNC had ample opportunity to search for future presidential candidates. Good candidates. They did not. Or they went looking and didn't find anyone of stature. They had another four years to do the same and they failed. After Romney's defeat, what did they do over the next four years?

I'm not saying it would have mattered. Those demographics I keep dwelling on are making the math impossible for republicans. Sure, there will be some close races and some actual wins for a few select candidates. But they will become less and less frequent in the coming years as Hispanic voters increase and they become as loyal to democrats as black voters currently are. It's just math. It will take 65 million votes to win the White House. Trump has 13 million or so loyal supporters. He can probably win 15-20 states and maybe 175 electoral votes, at best. You won't need to stay up late on election night to know who won.

Following this Novembers elections, let's discuss the future, our future. A future like that of Christians living under the thumb of Rome 2000 years ago. We will still have an enormous amount of freedom and liberty, but we will be spectators. We will watch the left turn our beloved country into Sodom and Gomorrah. We will have to rely on each other more than ever for support. God will test us. We will need to stay strong. We may never see a conservative in the White House again. All other branches of government, both federal and local will become controlled by people calling themselves progressive liberals. They will be Godless and merciless to our way of life. I don't know how we will get by other than trust that God has a plan and Jesus has promised to return for us in His time. Now I think I will sign off and go be sad again.

I chose not to watch the convention this week. To me, the election is a forgone conclusion. Hillary will win. I can't see how she can lose. Today, Hillary is in Florida trying to rally Latino voters. Pay attention to the following information that I just got done viewing on Fox News, Special Report;

There are 1.8 million Latinos registered to vote in Florida. That is 15% of the states registered voters.

There are 1 million Puerto Ricans living in Florida. That number has doubled since 2000.

In Miami-Dade County 2006-2016, the number of Democrats increased 62% among Hispanics registered to vote, while the number of Republican voters increased 0%.

This trend is similar in many other states that Trump would have to win in order to defeat Clinton. Currently, Trump has the support of between 5% and 15% of Hispanic voters. The more Hispanic voters are registered, the more votes Hillary gets. The upcoming election could very well be a landslide. To make matters worse, the trend is likely to continue, which will lead to Democrats winning control of Congress and nominating liberal supreme court justices. Looking back ten or twenty years from now, you will be saying these were the best of times in comparison to how it will be in the coming years. It will turn out that supporting Trump and especially supporting a wall between the U.S. and Mexico and enforcing immigration laws, will have been the undoing of the Republican party. Now excuse me while I go and cry.
It doesn't matter who wins. Either way we lose.

Willie, a vote for either one of them is a vote to lose.

I used to be all emotional about it too. The truth is that in the whole scheme of things it doesn't really matter. Why get bent about it?

I'm curious to see If Trump will have his plans on how he will build a wall and Mexico pay for It when he and Hillary debate

I believe she will win too. I sure hope that the trumpsters are happy now. Supporting Trump has really turned out to benefit Mrs. Clinton.

Could be that Trump is signaling that he is not going to run for a second term.

In any event I'm going to trust God to put into the office the person that He has determined.

Pr 21:1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Pray for Gods mercy in this election.

For the cause of Christ

Uh........... You do understand, that simply by the numbers, without some Democrats and Independents voting Republican, there is no way in the world that Democrats will not be elected.

There are simply more Democrats than Republicans. Period. And as the USA continues to turn toward the worldly views and desires, the number grows.

About the only hope we have is that at this last, very crucial election, we work our butts off to get a Republican in the White House. And that president has to turn things around FAST. Why? So that, four years from now enough Independents and Democrats will actually see, with their own eyes, that America really can come back, and doesn't have to keep spiraling downward and downward as we have been doing for years.

This is SO important. We have got to get Democrats to see what they are doing to our country before it dies.

Hillary Clinton has been airing one of the most effective ads against Donald Trump to date. A group of young children are listening to Donald Trump spewing some of the most vile language possible. She ends it with "they are listening". I fully expect to see many more ads like this one in the future. As of today, I fully expect Hillary Clinton to win by a landslide, and also expect control of the Senate to go to the democrats. I pray that I am wrong.

The only vote "wasted" is a vote not cast.

If everyone felt "Trump is the lesser of two evils" and decided not to vote for either evil but a 3rd option, how is that a wasted vote? Because it splits the Republican party and allows for Hillary Clinton to win? It's still not wasted... I could argue, during the Republican primaries, that "a vote for Trump is a vote for Hillary because Trump has a relatively minuscule chance of beating her." No one can refute that statement...

If we always have the mindset of voting for the lesser of two evils, in this case Trump or Hillary, and limiting our options for the highest position in the entire world, then we will never be compelled to change this faulty system and our faulty thinking. Perhaps Hillary winning is the catalyst for Republicans (and some Democrats) to branch out and give Americans a more diverse selection to pick from.
