If I go to the front door to check in and they hand me a pair of bunny ears... I'm guessing I'm at the wrong nunnery. (But it might be ok for all the women out there who like older men. Hugh, after all, is older. BLEH!!!)

Then again, seeing as a 73-year-old looked at my profile and sent me a "smile" today (on a Christian dating site), I might fit right in. BLEH!!!!

Haha! - I didn't say they were angry at ME, just angry in general. I stopped dating one because she was always badmouthing her ex.

I submit that if you still harbor such bitterness....you ain't ready to date!

I would imagine they are angry. They didn't get the happily ever after they were promised, and they are expecting you to make up for the sins committed against them. Of course, that's why most women are angry...
Or, as seems more common anymore, at that age, they're divorced and bitter.

LOL funny thread...good work "thumbs up"

Age for me isnt a factor, as long as our minds click and are on the same ball park. Like work stuff i take really seriously as i understand that it provides...when it comes to having fun i can turn into a child really quick, specially around a puppy ^_^! Some one who isnt must have perfect world feels comfy for me regardless of our age difference.

There wasn't actually a point. I was just being facetious! Or at least attempting to be...

I do acknowledge the failed relationship had nothing to do with our ages.

If we clicked well enough, age wouldn't matter too much. I'd prefer he be my age or older than myself. But I probably wouldn't marry someone much more than 10 or 12 years older. Cause I'd want to spend more time with him. I wouldn't want to outlive the guy I loved by too many years.

Friendship-wise, I tend to be drawn toward people who prize wisdom over ambition (and who are maybe a little rebellious too, hehe). This makes age less important to me. Though it's nice to have friends who get your generational references too of course. :D

I've never dated so I can't say from experience, but I pretty much agree with this. I'd prefer if they were close to my age, because I want us to experience the same stages of our life together. :)

I've always kinda set the standard at no more then 8 years older and no more then 5 years younger. Now thats just really for who I would consider being interested in. But I have the traditional value that the guys gotta come for me, so if someone younger or older then that liked me and we really clicked I would be cool with it. Though at the age of 24 it's illegal for me to date anyone younger then 19 haha so the "if someone younger" bit will only apply in the future lol. Like if I was 27 and someone 20 clicked with me it would be cool. All in all the only thing that matters to me is finding the guy who I can fall in love with and who will fall in love with me! Though I have a feeling it will be someone younger then me, I seem to be drawn to younger guys.

I prefer no one 10 years older than me but I also prefer no one more than 6 months younger than me. However, I know an adorable couple that is 17 years apart and are madly in love with each other. And he husband is the younger of the two.

This sums up my reasoning too.
