Sorry? You pass on the gun show AND monster trucks? We are so over.
Wonders what Nuke would say if I told him I like gun shows, or at least the one I went to. See, this is just the Tomboy in me coming out.

I've been to a gun show. It was pretty cool. I used to hang out at a gun shop too.

I'm thinking gun shops and shows are a whole lot safer than dating. Plus, you get to take something home that won't leave ever leave you by choice! :D

Sneaks up behind nuke ..bonks him on the head.... kidnaps seatbelt... :p

.... he sealed his fate with "wood chopping, dairy hand, who owns his own sewing maching".... when he quits screaming I will show him my pressure canner.
If they make this into a movie, I'm thinking the starring actress should be Kathy Bates...
Exactly. Great minds think alike.

Okay, okay...BIG thumbs up to those who like gun shows, guns, and shooting, etc.

I love to go to the range...I just don't get to go as often now that we're in Ammopocalypse 2013 and ammo is more scarce than morals in Washington DC....

The gun show I went to was pretty interesting, especially the really old guns.

I've never been to a range. I was taught to shoot in the middle of a desert in Nevada by a Navy sniper. That was awesome. He was a good teacher, but according to him I was a good student. It was kinda funny because he'd be dispatched somewhere for a week or three and then I'd hear on the news that so-in-so was dead, or some Taliban group had been taken out. Then he'd come home and I'd wonder if he had "handled" that particular "situation". I never asked and he never told.

Anyway... I'd love to go shooting again. After all, I need to prepare for the zombie apocalypse. Hmm, but I really need to work on my hand to hand combat skills. Sometimes firing a weapon will just attract a bunch of walkers.

Does being single and by yourself all the time make you forget that you even have a gender?
Oh no, for me it's the opposite. I'm always aware of my maleness, especially when interacting with women. :( I am a man and I have a man's needs. I have male insecurities, male attitudes, and male prejudices. You'll never know what your prejudices are until they are pointed out to you by the other.

@Nuke

Ammo is no substitute for morals, no matter how much of it you have.

He might discover I am not only harmless but creative and let me barrow his plasma cutter....so there!:p

You know Gander Mountain has a virtual range. And while it's not like the real thing, it still help you keep up. So you can keep your ammo for the times you run across wolves in the country. Or would it be better to use a shotgun then a pistol? Hmm, probably shotgun, cause you don't want the wolf to get that close.

Well, for whatever reason, here near Lexington, KY, we don't have Gander Mountain, Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, etc. It's sad, really...well, we do have Bud's, which makes up on the firearms side...

Well, any sort of training probably wouldn't hurt... My way of dealing with Ammopocalypse is that I just bought a 22 pistol that is very similar to my 9mm pistol. I can shoot ten times as much 22 for the same price as 9mm.

Shotguns are extremely versatile (and FUN!). They will shoot almost anything that you load in it. There's a channel on YouTube that shoots shotguns with all sorts of whatever, such as Silly Putty loads, frozen hot dog loads, bubblegum loads, and even gummi bear loads...

I think the most LOGICAL response to Ammopocalypse I have seen was to figure out what kind of ammo has remained available and but That gun.... that and the whole realm of reloading. When Rubber Duckies are outlawed, patriots will still know how to make their own Duckie. 0_s.jpg

Most of the places I've lived consider ATF to be a recipe for a family reunion or an average Friday night...not a federal agency.
However.
I think the iron rails are back (motions wildly in All directions) over there somewhere. This leave us the choice of moving the locomotive back or simply setting up shop as the Boxcar Children. I say we do both, and maybe is my final answer.

I vaguely remember reading books about box car children. But I can't remember what they were called.
