I don't know if any of you here have ever heard of a man named G. Craig Lewis, but he is a well known black preacher who has produced many a controversial teaching - one of his most famous being "The Truth Behind Hip Hop," in which he breaks down the philosophy behind the hip hop and shows how it is an evil "religion." I personally do not agree with a lot of what he says or the way he says it, but there is no denying that the man has done some homework.

Being a black homosexual man myself, I am always offended when he talks about the subject of homosexuality - which he does often! But his latest blog, I actually found to be rather interesting (maybe because he didn't use derogatory terms this time). If you feel like reading about 6 good paragraphs, I would like to know what you thing about this article. I can't post it here, but if you click on this link, G. Craige Lewis Blog , it will take you to his blog page and the article which is at the top.

BREAKING NEWS: Homosexual man offended by preacher

Seriously, what self-respecting black man would openly admit to being gay. The last thing the Church needs is more perverts; male church attendance has been declining for years and having more homosexuals prancing around will not help.

That G. Craig Lewis qouted the Bible :

Rom. 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom. 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

That pastor is doing right by preaching against homosexuality. The Bible says it is wrong. I say this in love. God loves you and wants to deliver you from that lifestyle. I pray that God touches your heart in that area.. Love in Christ. my brother

When someone feels offended on such an issue as this,it's not truly offending it's conviction. I've seen many on here, that are proud of being homosexual, bisexual, etc. Anyhow,no one should be proud of such a thing. Then when they experience conviction, and aren't sure what it is,or don't like the feeling they say they're offended. The thing is,God's trying to call them out of the sinful nature and practice so to speak.

It doesn't matter what race someone is,but when they openly admit to being gay, weather they admit it or not, they're crying out for help.

As far as that preacher doing no wrong, and bringing the word of God AMEN! someone needs to take a stand and bring the truth. Now I didn't read the blog, but I don't need to in order to know what the Bible says about this issue at hand. There's just too many threads on this subject though, and everyone for the most part, has agreed homosexuality is a sin.Even those whom are homosexual will tell you it's wrong. I've had many tell me they know it's wrong, but won't give it up and things like that. How disgusting! Choosing sin over God,*sigh* anyways,I agree, the guy preaching against homosexuality and homosexual acts is completely right and in line with God's word. God bless

What gay person has said "it's wrong" ??? A self-hating one, that's for sure. I'm not even gay and I don't think it's wrong.

I know a guy who tried to "cut" the gayness out of himself. Literally. Just think off that for a few seconds he hated himself so much because people had told him how wrong and disgusting it was and that he was going to burn in hell that he actually cut himself up over it. Thats the sort of things that people like that guy cause.

Plenty of them have said they know it's wrong, however I don't care what you think because I know what God's word says for itself. No disrespected intended, but I just don't care what anyone thinks or says about it,as God's word stands true and speaks for itself. Nor will I partake in a debate about it being wrong,or not wrong, etc. There's already way too many threads doing that as it is.

Exactly why any religious group that joins a political campaign of any form should be stripped of their tax exempt status.

That was disgusting.

I was watching it with my brothers and we just thought it was two girls beating down a white girl just b/c and one of my brothers yelled "SOOOO much weave!" And then we realized that it was b/c she was transgendered and felt bad haha

Even if it was just two girls beating down another girl it wouldn't be funny..at least I wouldn't think so.

We figured it was three girls that just got into a catty girl-friend over SOMETHING stupid in a ghetto McDonalds and only the outcome was filmed. It's so typical in places like Miami (where I'm from) for stupid things like that to happen -.-

Scripture still says it to be wrong in romans 1:24-27
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. - NIV 2011

and again in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. - NIV 2011

and again In Jude 7
7just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

I dont think homosexuality is wrong. I am bi and cool about it. God is all about love, right? So caring loving relationships are cool. All of this 'The bible says it is wrong" is silly. The Bible says lots of things are wrong (like answering back to your parents means they can kill you !). You can take everything as true. the only people who say this are nutters or those who dont read the whole Bible, but just the bits they choose.

God is love but he is also Just and he will take those who have not followed the Lord Jesus and throw them into the pit because their sin guilt is not paid for. Also that verse you are talking about says those who revile their mother or father. Secondly that punishment should have been fulfilled if that was the case and should still be fulfilled if we were still under that covenant. Although there aren't any recorded instances to my knowledge of it ever happening. Also I would like to see where in the Bible it justifies homosexuality.

This is part of how things are headed. Political Correctness vs preaching the Bible. You should always love people but you can never make things spoken about in the bible as offensive to God and expect those that preach to not speak against it.

It often brings me to tears when I see a news story come up about how a homosexual teenager took their own life, because they couldn't escape the harassment, the bullying, the abuse, and the emotional damage caused by being told, and even being brought to believe that who they are is wrong and evil. It's terrible that anyone has to go through such torment and I think a lot of people who are causing pain to homosexuals mean the best, and they don't realize what effect their words can have. Things that some Christians will say to them is a part of the reason we have gay children hurting themselves or even killing themselves, because other people are saying there is something wrong and evil with them. And they can't do anything about this, it's just who they are.

I don't want to talk about the Biblical issue of homosexuality, I believe that would only cause conflict, something I do my best to avoid. What I do want to say is that, before we speak, we think about all those suffering people who could be listening, feeling miserable because of the sort of things that are being said in this thread. If you're one of those people, I'm so sorry for what you're going through, just know that there are a LOT of people (myself included) who don't think you're doing anything wrong, and they care about you and want the best for you. :)

I'm very very sorry if I've accidentally insulted any Christians here, it was not my intention! I will apologize personally if I hurt you.

Probably the most sound and beautiful words I've read here in a long time, especially from a non-Christian.

Telling someone that it is wrong to be a homo is not condeming them in any way. it is only leading them to the right path. it all depends on the way the person in the receiving end takes it. i believe that we were all created good but the devil came and corrupted our minds. u cant say that u were born a homo because a god who is just and gud cant create someone in his own image and that person turns out to be evil. u cant justify your sinful acts by using the love of god as an excuse.

He outlines that its a sin and shows how the person can be born again. if you don't like HIS words then LISTEN solely to GOD's Words: God still loves YOU, but the wages of sin is DEATH.

Heb. 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Heb. 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
2Cor. 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
