Sinless, Hate that name, we are coming at this from two different perspectives. Are you truly saying that it is impossible for you to commit a sin. I strive and ask God to keep me from sin. In the Lords prayer He says deliver us from temptation and forgives us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Check the words in the greek.

But what we call a sinner and believer are two different things from what I read on y'alls post. You say that it is impossible for a believer to sin. I say that is wrong. Not that I want to sin. I abhor it and refrain as best I can. But we make mistakes and are not perfect. Most of the time it's our tongue that fails us.

If we are perfect. Then we would raise perfect children. I have a twenty year old thats drinking and smoking pot. Then again I have a 15 year old thats in church and wants to go bible college and become a minister. I raised them the same.

And my 15 year old is one heck of a baseball player. He is in usssa best of the best and could go to many colleges on a full ride. But, He wants to put that aside and go to bible college. Is he perfect. I love my children the same.

God is perfect, and we are his children
How does he try to raise us within his principles and righteousness?
Is it his fault or ours what choices we make?
Try not to blame yourself Earl if you know you did right by your kids

Yes, God is perfect. But, we are not and that is why we need Him so much.

I know it's off the thread but would please hold Taylor up before the Lord. That's my 20 year old and he is good ball player too. He is currently starting 3rd base at a D1 college on a full ride and he is living it up. But his heart is not with God and that tears me up, Your children can grip your heart like nothing else. I am so torn up I don't know what to do. Please lift him up before the Lord. I know that God will answer my prayer and He works in his time and not ours. It just tears me up.

Earl but God says that if a person is Born of God he cannot sin... 1 John 3:9.. And you talk about a believer... A believer is one that has FAITH... and are we not saved by GRACE... getting us clean and KEEPING us clean... A believer does not follow Satan even ONCE into sin... He is a BELIEVER that ONLY serve God and does what God wants...

My friend, as I said before you are about to get ZAPPED with the truth... The Light is about to go on for you... I am so excited to be part of your awakening....

Let me just take you through one little Scripture.... God said... You CANNOT not may not, he said you CANNOT serve two masters... If you repent from a sin, do you not lay it down to serve God? Is that not one of God's wishes that we REPENT... Turn AWAY from sin, ANY sin.... And if we do do we still serve the satan/flesh and lust/disobedience? No we now turned AWAY from sin HEARING AND FOLLOWING THE SPIRIT... And look what teh Word says about the prayer we pray... Lord lead us not into temptation BUT DELIVER US FROM EVEIL!!!

Look at this verse my friend, and I have hope for both you and I to ALSO be delivered by God.... 2 Peter 2:9... The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
That is why they CANNOT sin.... God delivered them...Hope You and I join that delivery SOON///

Earl, yes of course we need God, he is the one who does the good work within us.
What then do you feel it is that binds a person to keep them in sin?

I'm going to go back over my posts and see if I equated holy or righteous to being perfect in the sense of Omnipresent & Omnipotent
Because I still dont know why people are making holy or righteous to mean self- exaltation to being equal to God himself.

And I'd be happy to pray for your son Taylor :)

In all things take a deep breath and consider what is pleasing to Heavenly Father and Yahshua the Messiah in all matters of life..

It will sometimes mean humility, it will sometimes warrant a no. and sometimes warrant a yes.

If you seek to please the Almighty God and not yourself sin will not become you.

Perfect? only one can know and it not be with man.

Set your heart upon this:

Matthew 5

48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Oh my friend, My heart bleeds with you.... Earl give him to the Lord.... If I may share one thing with you....
Remember Saul/Paul... He was far worse than your son. Saul killed the righteouss people. The ones In Christ... And then one day... Saul was on his way to Damascus.... Suddenly there was a light upon Saul and he fell to the ground and he heard...Saul Saul why persecutest thou ME?....
Earl two things for you in this Scripture.... ONE: Jesus did not say ...Why persecutest thou MY PEOPLE... nope.. HE SAID ME...Do you see how ONE WITH JESUS the BELIEVERS ARE....
And TWO: If God selcted this KILLER OF JESUS, to be a vessel FOR HIS GOSPEL AND WILL, emagine how easy it is for the Lord to turn your Son around....

My friend I TRUST GOD. Not my prayer, God. If God can turn Saul the killer to be Paul the Apostle, then God can make a 20 yearold American, a Chritian in no time... I am so amazed that it is me typing this... One of the worst ANTI-GOD people I knew... WOW! I used to be your boy! I was my mothers worst headache for 38 and a half years... My wife prayed for my salvation 16 years... My co-workers at Iscor said it is a miricle... Cobus is now a Christian. I was known as one of the most RADICAL convertions in the church circles... whatever that means...

All I know is... God will call your boy, GOD CALL MANY, and when God calls, it is pure HEAVEN.. may your boy be called, and may he rush to his father, for confession.... My eldest daughter did, and I praise God HE is now busy with HER SCHOLARSHIP with Him... May God unlock the Word for her. May He call your son and my second daughter, and may we be as Psalm one says.... May both yuo and I be succesfull in ALL we do... Even raise Holy Children for God....

I am with you my friend. I have 4 children.... Daughter 25, Daughter 23 Son 13 and Daughter 9. The first two grew up with a 100% sinner... non-believer. The second two with a dad seeking God, and trying to endure to the end.. May God's will be done in my house.... AMEN!

I played in the minors and maybe I pushed him to hard. It's killing me.
There are 3 paths to wisdom
1. Learning from our own mistakes...the most bitter
2. Imitation...the most simple
3. Reflection...The most noble

Use all three if needed

But always Reflect upon the Lord and his words my friend

My question to you would be this; what exactly did Jesus accomplish on the cross?

Galathians... He paid for sins of the ones that God would give to Him... Not as the World believe for ALL sin... If He paid for ALL sin NO PERSON WILL GO TO HELL/// And unfortunately we know that those that die in sin is already dead!

Jesus BOUGHT the righteousness of the SAVED SINNERS God will make righteouss through the BLOOD of Jesus... God said you were bought with a HIGH price... God says//// Ye are bought with a price; be not ye servants of men...

The Cross GETS US CLEAN, but the CROSS does not KEEP us clean... That is the BORN OF GOD... the FINAL part of God's salvation. Jesus died on the cross, to get us clean and to BE AWAKENED, RISEN FROM THE DEAD,,, so that He could BEAT death. And we can become partakers of the victory... The NEW LIFE IS THE VICTORY, over SIN AND DEATH...

Everlasting life for us is now only possible to obtain, in the REBIRTH... BORN OF GOD... CANNOT SIN TO DIE! So Jesus only obtained purification for us on the cross... BUT HE WAS RESURRECTED... So that is not where the Cospel ends, the HOLY LIFE for us is only now Starting, AFTER PURIFICATION... The Work God did AFTER the cross is the Work that completes us.

The life on the OTHER side of the cross (the narrow straight gate) is a holy life... Everlasting life, that we start to live AFTER we are purified. Read 1 John 3, and John 17 to fully understand the COMPLETE work of the cross and the Baptism of Holy Spirit... BORN OF GOD.. We have to die before we can be BORN OF GOD... And this death is the cross we carry AND FOLLOW JESUS... then when we died spiritually God can make us BORN AGAIN OF SPIRIT AND WATER... Born of God...
