I'm stunned.

This statement of yours is damaging to the body of Christ. You are potentially nullifying a person's witness to others, by wrongfully labeling them as "a wolf in sheep's clothing" and "their wicked spirit". Born again believers have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them, why is it you accuse a person of having a different spirit? This is blasphemy.

If God is for us who can be against us.
We need to resist all who claim that sin is permissible in the Body

Let not your heart be troubled. Neither let it be afraid :)

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

[SUP]9 [/SUP]And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Whenever I feel anxiousness in me those verses cause me to feel a peacefully pleasant and relaxed spirit take over in me like God has poured it out over me as water from a bucket coming down over me. I feel his peace flow from the top of my head on down through me making my whole body surrender and relax.

Those are truly inspiring words Paul spoke there.

Wow guys! I guess this goes to show that you can study the Bible for hours on end, for years on end but that if you don't read God's Word in context and with the help of the Holy Spirit, you can pull any false teaching you want out of your glutinous maximus.
not the perfect and sinless guys though.
a perfect and sinless and perfectly obedient man would never make an error; never misinterpret scripture; and would know all things.

I would agree with that conditionally. It is not quite all that black and white. And you can take it to the bank when I tell that I have not relied on any man to teach me. I have in fact been hated by many a man for refusing to go along with their college educated non-sense which is but a worldly way of passing on the illusion by a carnal diploma of knowing something that only God's holy spirit coupled to one's personal dedication to studying the scriptures can cause to be so.

For anyone to say that perfection of spirit is not achievable in this lifetime is both a twisting of scripture and a mockery of faith.
i don't doubt you're self taught.
half of what you say doesn't align with scripture.

so you're far from perfect.

I actually do understand how you can say that.

But I also understand how I defeated myself for so very long, to the point where I began to hate myself, because i had a distorted interpretation of what constitutes perfection and imperfection.

I love you zone, but my very life came to depend on my learning to understand what perfection really is and is not.

Again, I actually do understand how you can say that.

No offense taken.

Yes, I see the potential for the man of sin, son of perdition to stand up even in myself, and so sometimes I speak as though all ought to also see that potential in them selves and I speak to that potential.

I am absolutely certain that the man of sin at 2 Thessalonians chapter two is not some separate individual antichrist but is the man of flesh infiltrated into the church.

Romans 8:7 "Because the carnal mind [which is what the term "flesh" often is referring to] is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."

We need to discuss that chapter sometime.

rubbish.
works justify faith?
perhaps you'd like to rephrase that.
I said "Your faith is worthless without works to justify it"

James said, James 2:24 "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only."

I say that as faith is the main thing that opens the door for us to be meek and teachable, James means something similar to what Paul said about faith, Galatians 5:6 "For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love."

And I see that faith is not what I am ultimately judged before God by: Revelation 22:12 "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."

Revelation 20:13 "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works."

Revelation 18:6 "Reward her even as she [carnal religion Babylon the great] rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double."

Revelation 2:23 "And I will kill her [that carnal form of religion aka Babylon the great] children with death;
and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works."

That would depend on your definition of perfection. The carnal view of perfection is that a person has to be sinless to be perfect; where as the scriptural view of perfection is a person who walks in total reliance on the Lord. There are numerous passages of scripture which indicate that, while a believer can never be perfect according to the carnal definition, a person can be perfect according to the scriptural definition. In fact, scripture actually names a few.

In my opinion, how a person defines perfection speaks volumes about their own familiarity with scripture and also their personal level of spiritual maturity.

Kathy, did God not say this.... You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free... How well do you think this KNOWLEDGE of the Truth (God's Scripture is the Truth) does the FREE know.

Kathy I know you are quite sharp but I want to write so nobody misunderstand this and I will refer to Scripture to PROOF that God gives ALL to the perfect... Also not to FAIL OR TRIP IN SCRIPTURE... they indeed know the Word of God, PERFECTLY... like you mockingly note in your comment...

The sinless and perfect people, of which I am not one YET, DO not stumble, they do not fall, and they do not misqoute or mis interprt Scripture... If they do they will not have received the Spirit of Truth, who is the AUTHOR of the Word of God. How can a man receive the Spirit of Truth, and not know the Word that the Spirit gave to save the man in the first place...

Proof! Well when Jesus was here and he spoke to his disciples he said... There is many things I still want to teach you but YOU CANNOT BEAR IT YET.... Only a holy person can bear ALL TRUTH... And only the Holy Spirit can make a person Holy... The disciples did not have the Holy Spirit in THEM YET...

The moment they were BAPTIZED and FILLED with the Holy Spirit, they KNEW ALL SCRIPTURE and they were perfected and made 100% holy for God's use..

They left that place and spoke over 22 languages and gave the Word 100% as God wanted... not making a single mistake or even interpretaion... The REVEALED Word of God flow from their mouths, and EVERY person heard the Gospel in his or her own language... And the FULL Scripture of God was already give to His people...

No man can even begin to know the Truth if God does not reveal it to him. Scripture should NOT be interpreted, but revealed and lived by God and His people. Scripture is not for the mind, it is for the heart...

[1 John 2:26-27 "These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."]

My thought is, if your perfect then you have need of nothing. I Myself Need the cross.

If you in your wisdom have superseded that need. Then my hats off to you. I am sanctified by the cross. The Holy Spirit works through me by the cross. I need the cross. Cause on my own I am nothing.

Earl, my friend you believe a lie if you believe the Holy Spirit moves into dirty houses, vessels, fleshly bodies... The Holy Spirit WORKS ON YOU before He works IN you and through you... But he cannot work a sinner, He can only lead a sinner OUT of sin... The sinner HAS to follow, or remain in sin...

My friend the cross does not make you holy, it only makes you clean for the Holy Spirit.... The cross cleans the house of dirt and sin and evil, to PREPARE the house (Your body) for the Holy Spirit to move in...

The Holy Spirit does NOT MOVE INTO FILTHY HOUSES... He Leads them through the Word to be cleansed FIRST... Then He moves in... Called Rebirth... Baptism of Spirit, filling of Spirit...
