and as for those who are going to sabbath services today and sinfully seek to impose that personal observance on the whole body of christ...

isaiah 1:13-14...

"Bring your worthless offerings no longer,
Incense is an abomination to Me.
New moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies—
I cannot endure iniquity and the solemn assembly.
I hate your new moon festivals and your appointed feasts,
They have become a burden to Me;
I am weary of bearing them."

Rach,, when I learned about the Sabbath,, I had a job, and I worked on Saturdays.....

I finally went to my boss, and I told him of my new found faith. I told him that I liked my job,, but, I had come to a crossroad...

I told my boss to give me my Sabbath off,, or I would quit. My boss was an atheist and a drunk.

The next Sabbath,, he told me, I didn't have to work anymore Saturdays!

I went to God, before I went to my boss.

I upheld God and His Commandment.... and because I did,, He softened the heart of my boss and my boss, gave me my Sabbaths off,, reluctantly,, but he did.

I have the utmost confidence in God. If I go to Him and ask Him anything.. I believe He will do it for me if it is in His will.

I tell you this.....

Sometime ago.. I had some great financial trouble. I nearly lost my house.

I went to God...And I prayed that He would get me a job. After my prayer,,, I swear to you,,, not 10 minutes went by,, that my phone rang,, and a job was offered at 21 bucks a hour.

If I call on God,, I'm sure He hears me. He upholds me, constantly. And I love Him!

Now,, excuse me,, I have to go. Happy Sabbath!

UMMM But you still use gas and electricity on the Sabbath right? Now if you try to justify that somehow it's OK let's remember when and WHERE God gave them the requirements of the law when they were NOT to light a fire on the Sabbath. First they were in the DESERT. No air conditioning for one. The day time temps in the summer can get to OVER 110 degrees. (No air conditioning remember) Night time temps in the winter can get as low as the upper 30's (Remember no building fires)

They also were going into the promise land some temps have run as low as 30 degrees in the winter. Somehow I think the Lord knew that when He told them NOT TO LIGHT FIRES. If your weather is within those norms then anything else is justification for using gas and electricity on the Sabbath.

Jesus was free to break Sabbath anytime He pleased. He's God, and the Lord of the Sabbath, and also the Sabbath itself.

Matt 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Matt 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Yes, and God's word says that Christ's righteous is imputed to us, not by works, but by faith alone. Therefore, Sense Jesus is Lord over the sabbath, the Lord's perfect obedience has been imputed to me by means of His free gift. By accepting this free gift by faith, I enter into the spiritual meaning behind the sabbath (resting in faith that Christ has paid the penalty, by the price Jesus paid as the perfect sacrifice unto God the Father) and keep it perfectly as my Lord has kept it. It was God's plan from the beginning of time that man should enter into this rest, this God's message delivered to us in His book, the final repository of redemptive revelation. This what it all boils down to. So all those in Christ Jesus, whether you know it or not, are keeping the Sabbath everyday from their rebirth, because you have entered into the spiritual meaning of the 4th commandment. This is the meat or deeper meaning of the sabbath.

Ancient Israel, for the most part (save Christ's followers) kept the 7th Sabbath day, but did not enter into His rest.

Since gaining a masterful competency of the discussion at hand and its source isn't your thing, your video games await your return. Us adults will finish up.

Yes more of the same lets put up critical websites rather than Bible. It has become very boring.

i already said this to someone else but it bears repeating...

God doesn't tell people to sin...not in real life -or- in non literal visions...

if God commanded peter to eat 'unclean' food...then eating the 'unclean' food couldn't have been a sin...

if it was a sin then peter would have been -right- to refuse in his vision...and God would have been -wrong- to rebuke his refusal...

by the way...you seem to be missing the fact that one of the biggest reasons gentiles were considered 'unclean' was -because- they at 'unclean' food...so the issue of dietary laws is much more closely related to the meaning of this vision than you realize...
I find it mind boggling that they think the context of that vision about food is only about people. God would never, ever suggest humans = unclean food, not even symbolically. That would be rude and insulting.

Yet that is what these cultists are saying! They accept answers about bible verses from their leaders without question. Their minds are caged and not free to think. Peter's vision of unclean food = people is a classic example of cult mindset. It is like you have said, they are under a strong delusion and simply don't get it.

Or maybe they just continued reading the book of Acts and seen this

"17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean , behold , the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate, 18 And called , and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there. 19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold , three men seek thee. 20 Arise therefore, and get thee down , and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them. 21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said , Behold , I am he whom ye seek : what is the cause wherefore ye are come ? 22 And they said , Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee. 23 Then called he them in , and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him. 24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them , and had called together his kinsmen and near friends. 25 And as Peter was coming in , Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. 26 But Peter took him up , saying , Stand up ; I myself also am a man. 27 And as he talked with him, he went in , and found many that were come together . 28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company , or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. Revealed SDAs trolling the site
No matter that all but one of those considering it and that keep the sabbath are not SDAs. But that's the only defense of those entirely against that, to call SDAers cultists, so obviously that won't be recognized.

you follow a commandment that tells you to take a day off...

what a trial you endure in the name of God...

when you burn everything you own that is cotton polyester blend as the law commands...then we'll talk...
I think it's amazing that you didn't pay any attention to those words of Christ I posted. He was speaking of those commandments He wrote with His own hand. Very few do in here because that doesn't work for the Sunday keepers. Do a dance all around so you don't have to do as Christ said. But that does reveal who you love and who you don't.

Among you 3300 viewers with ears to hear, let them hear!

Matthew 5:19
So if you break the smallest commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God's laws and teaches them will be great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

Revelation 14:12 This means that God's holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus.

Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

1 Corinthians 7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision (here's your distinction between the commandments and the mosaic law that was fulfilled) is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar (here's where my accusation towards you came from Age-of-Knowledge, from scriptures themselves), and the truth is not in him.
1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. *This is where the Mark of the Beast comes in. This is why they're all connected.*

You have to care enough about these words put forth by Christ Himself to go in and really study up on His commandments.
1 Corinthians 7:19 clearly states there's a difference between the commandments and others written out by Moses. There were those written in Christ's own hand, and there were those that Moses wrote up that were not connected. But again, you actually have to care enough about what Christ wants to find out what the difference is, let alone do anything about it after the fact. For the behavior represented in this very forum towards people who strive to keep all 10 commandments is wholly representative of the abusive sabbath keepers receive for simply doing what Christ said.

This is one possible interpretation I suppose. Let's look at the Bible.

Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.

So they came together on the first day of the week and listened to Apostle Paul preach. The idea that Paul was under the influence of Satan when he did this is outside of Christianity.
Have you noticed what the idea i am trying to share is? Sunday keepers and those that say you don't need to keep the law pull up verses and stick to them, while they ignore other scripture facts, that expose them. Let me ask you one question. Does the Bible contradict the Bible? We see a meeting here on the first day. But did that passage say that this day is holy? It wss just a meeting because wanted to depart from them. And not just so, but also this lacks a lot of foundation to claiming sunday is holy, because the meeting continued till night and to the middle of the night. In the Bible a day ends when sun sets:
"And evening and morning were the first day" "...second day" "third day" in genesis 1.
A day according to Bible consists of: evening and morning. We later changed it to 12 am in the morning. But a day in the Bible used to end when sun sets. Now this meeting was not just on first day, but also continued to the second day.
By the way here is something that can drive the truth home to your heart:
We know from Bible that when a testator dies, you cannot change the testament. This is plain scripture. And a testament is in force when the testator dies. NOW here's what will drive the truth down your home, enabling you to have your eyes opened, that sunday keeping is human tradition, which constantite took from PAGANS, to his so - called new religion "Christianity". When Jesus died, was there still a Sabbath commandment?
"And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. -Luke 23:56" yes there was. After Jesus died catholic church claims she can change the testament! No she cannot in God's eyes. After testator was dead there was still Sabbath commandment. Listen Rev 22:14 said that those that keep the commandments will enter into the gates. Does that not make you see that abolishing sabbath commandment is a farce and lie of the devil? Why not? Luke 16:17 said that it is easier for heaven and earth to pass that one tittle of the law to fail. How clear is that my friend? In that passage we see an assembling on first day of the week, but acts chapter 2 said that the disciples actualy assembled and broke bread DAILY. It's not a real convincing passage to claim sunday has now become holy! In the third fourth centuries did the popes start calling sunday the lord's day. Understand that belittling the sabbath was a progression that continued in time. But John was in the Spirit on Sabbath ! The lord's day was still the Sabbath back then in John's time.
Do not worship Jesus with commandments and traditions of men. Such a passage in acts should make you see that sunday is holy is a very unconvincing claim. Its a weak argument to pull that out of this passage of acts. How does this passage of acts that you pulled out, compare with what John said in 1 john 5:3 that the love of God is to keep His comandments? Do not let anyone drive you off with the thinking that Jesus changed His Law. He Himself declared that it is easier for earth to fail than a tittle of the law to fail. I used to think sunday is holy too. But then i saw how weak the arguments are in claiming saturday changed to sunday. I also so historically what truly happened, and how Rome admits she changed the Sabbath not by command of Christ, but by its own authority. I think you read the first ever post when i start the thread. God bless you man as he convicts you of truth. "Sin is the transgression of God's law"- 1 john 3:4 that alone makes me see that all those that break 10 commandments are either blind still ignorant about that, or of the devil (1 john 3:8). Now tell me, what Rev 14:12 seem to you? John saw a group of saints upon earth, who kept God's commandments. I am a saint therefore. I have the faith of Jesus, and i keep the ten commandments. I hope you see the truth of the matter. I can have many things to say. And do not be decieved by those that use paul's writings to try and say you don't have to keep the law. Paul already said that he will not excuse his not keeping the law because of his faith. Romans 3:31. In fact he said that because he has faith, he will establish the Law. In matthew 7 a passage that talks of a group of people in the day of judgement that come to Jesus and tell Him we did this...and this.. And this miracle here, and that one time we cast a demon in your name. Jesus tells them, i know you not. You workers of iniquity!
So all false prophets and teachers will sin and break God's law. Paul is not one of them because he is a true prophet, hence Paul was not a breaker of God's law, so those that use paul to show you that law is not needed, contradict what Jesus said, and what paul himself said! Paul was an establisher of the law not a breaker of it. Here's a question i can ask undefied to EVERY person who says i am free from the law of obeying it: "shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace?" Will we sin, because now we have received the grace and Spirit of Christ? Paul ANSWERS "GOD FORBID"- romans 6:15
Please how much more obvious can this be! NONE can use paul's writings to preach God's law you don't have to keep literaly. Plus how do they associate God's law with the law of moses when the ten commandments were from the beginning when there was still not a moses on the earth?

Amazing how we can be blind to the obvious. These people were sinning at the same time they kept these sabbaths and feasts. Need I say more?

LET ALL WHO WANT TO COME HERE AND REPLY BE FOREWARNED: you cannot USE PAUL's writings to claim the law of God is done away! Paul himself says he is an establisher of the law: "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. -Romans 3:31"
You who come here, who thinks that your faith releases you from God's law, paul tells you, you don't make the law empty because of your faith! How did a verse like this sneak past the noses of these super so called Scripture or Bible colleges that suposedly "teach God's truth"? These bible colleged with their human interpretations claim that now we have the holy spirit, and we don't have to obey the law literraly. Well let me ask you a question:
What does paul statement seem to you HERE:
"What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. -Romans 6:15"
So brother will you sin because you have the Spirit? Will you BREAK GOD's Law because you are under grace? Paul tells: GOD FORBID. "Sin is the transgression of God's law"- 1 john 3:4 and John says again that he that sins is of the devil (1 john 3:8). Kinda makes a ring in the ears what happened in matthew 7, when these false teachers and prophets and so called miracle workers come to Jesus in the last days. Jesus sends them to hell because they did not KNOW HIM, for they were workers of iniquity! Iniquity = sin. To better understand this, Jesus sends them to hell because all the while they wilfully broke God's Law. For knowing God is associated with keeping His commandments, and breaking His law associated to sin. 1 john 2:4, 1 john 3:4. NO ONE COMES HERE AND TRIES TO USE PAUL TO SUPPORT THEORY THAT GOD's law should not be kept. I won't even answer anymore anyone that tries to show me from the Bible that keeping God's law is a heresy. Jesus told me not a tittle of the law will fail: luke 16:17. Jesus is not a heretical teacher! You ARE! Not Him. I know the Spirit is already convicting you about God's law that it should be kept, even the Sabbath commandment. For the saints john sees in the last days in rev 14:12 are to his eyes, those that keep the commandments of God. And to revelation 22:14 the keepers of God's commandments are the ONLY ones admitted an entrance to heaven and to the tree of life. How does that not make you see you gotta keep God's law?!
But this statement is what you do:
"Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own traditon."- mark 7:9.
You reader who reads this now. Will you still cling to sunday being holy when NOW YOU HAVE (and i know you have, because truth is truth), known that there is not a single passge in the Bible that sanctifies it as a holy day? Will you let the Holy Spirit work in you to believe this? Do you actually know, that the Holy Spirit is give to those that "obey Him". - acts 5:32 the Spirit and sin are contrary to each other. Don't you dare to think it is okay if i break God's law. For God spared not the angels that sinned. Will He not also spare not you at the day of judgement? Does not Jesus want the ones who will make their robes white and seperate from every defilement with His divine aid? Did He not repeat in the book of Revelation chapters 2 and 3, that He'a gonna give the OVERCOMERS, to eat the hidden manna, tree of life, ect...? Well overcome in Jesus' power over the devil. The works of the devil is sin, disobedience to God's Law. God bless you.

john 5:18..."For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God."

but jesus broke the sabbath without sinning as i have already explained several times in this thread...and we are capable of the same...

in any case i have -never- said jesus was a sinner...i believe that jesus lived a perfect life and never sinned...

so again you are accusing me falsely...and again i remind you of one of the commandments...

exodus 20:16..."You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor."

and like i already said about muhammad...he taught salvation by works...i believe in salvation by grace through faith in christ!
We already covered this Rachel. Jesus is our High Priest. The priests worked on the sabbath in the temple and were not guilty.

Everybody, please keep this in mind. This is not directed at anyone specifically but It's worth putting into remembrance in threads like these.

Romans 14:4

"[SUP]4 [/SUP]Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand."

these are all appeals to personal opinion...'do you expect'...'do you think'...'do you suppose'...

since you are so insistent that your views on the sabbath are biblical...you should post scripture showing where God gives each of the groups of people you mention an exemption from sabbath keeping...
What do you think the scripture about pulling your ram or sheep or whatever out of a ditch is about? We have to do a bit of deductive reasoning to think that out.

Revelation 13:1 KJV
(1) And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

What is blasphemy according to the Bible?
1. Claiming to be God
2. Claiming to be able to forgive sins
Didn't see this before. This is a very good point.
