Listen, a person can be saved, wake up every day, watch 8 hrs of tv till they die which is a sin, and still go to heaven. You can get drunk everyday til you die, and go to heaven.

Hey, trying murdering someone everyday, see how far you get. I dont think itll be very far.

The sins are paid for, christ took upon all sin. If thats true how can our sins count against us in heaven? They dont. Again i dont recommend going on a sin spree but the fact is all sin is paid for.

I encourage wha the bible teaches about living holy, set apart from the world. Going to church, studying the word, winning souls and spreading the gospel.

You live how you want, you all sound like babes in christ because you have no idea about how strong Gods grace is. Hey, im a sinner! Oh no, have i lost my salvation because i lied to someone? If thats the case, God is lying about his grace and eternal security til the day of redemption.
This is the kind of teaching that turns the grace of God into lasciviousness.

As I read your post, I thought, there are just some things I see on both of the sides with you two gentlemen, why you are not seeing eye to eye. Then also, your post here made Acts 17:30-31 come forward to my mind.

A post you made yesterday, here, I am sure we can all tell of sins that we have stopped doing, that have been so far removed from us that we do not even have a feeling toward them one way or the other, let alone a desire... but are thankful to be delivered from the ties of that bondage. That is the mind of the flesh. We are dead to sin. We are not to mind the flesh.

Did God save us while we were yet sinning, yes. While we were yet sinners, yes. While we were ungodly & enemies, yes. There is an obedience we are to have, to "the faith", the faith of Christ... to a form of doctrine "from the heart". We serve God with our spirit, not our flesh. He does not see this filthy rag. What He sees is His Son in our new nature, we need to fill this capacity, if we are able. Guess what, this life can be to much for some and it can be all they can do is hear that gospel of truth and believe it... they may never be ambassadors, they may never be workmen, they may never be able to do anything but get saved by the grace of God, freely given, God knows this.

We see in Scripture a verse about the saved person who lives in pleasure, "dead while she liveth"- what this means is she is of no use, but she is alive to God by the gospel of her salvation. There is a place in Scripture that talks about "being denied by Christ" this is the manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit in those who have eternal life, but deny the building up in the inner man unto maturity, through various means, whether being in false religion or down in a bottle or nose in a bag.

Know we no man by the flesh. Outward appearance does not always magnify inward change. So we should not glory in the flesh or in men, but glory in the cross and glory in the Lord.
I do not judge people by their outward appearance at all sister. If you are truly saved you will have fruit and give off a fragrance that you are saved, that other Christians are able to discern. The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: Our spirit can also bear witness with another spirit if they are truly a child of God.

You also imply that grace is all you need and then throw out an excuse of well all are not called, all are not workmen, they are not ambassadors, so if they live their life they way it was, and are none of these things they are fine. That is not at all what Jesus taught or the Bible shows us. The Bible says you cannot stay the same, you will change and want to change.

Being a true son or daughter of God is the hardest thing you will ever do, you don't get saved and poof you are changed. It means you have to live and walk by the Spirit. You have to put work into your walk and most times that walk is too hard for most people. The parable of the sower shows you this.

His love knows no bounds or seeks a return of any kind of expectation and it was his love that salvation become a plan of redemption, I have no argument with that.

My main disagreement is that you can take his love and not have anything to show and can live the same way is absolute garbage...that very love will move you to become more like Christ. the love moves you to change into the image of his dear son. That love is one of the first fruit of the Spirit God gives you when conversion takes place. the Book of 1 John states if we still love the world, the love/grace of the Father is not in us and we lie to ourselves. That is in the Bible not me....

Again, you are adding works. Salvation does not relate to our walk, our rewards in heaven and blessings on earth relate to our walk. NOT our salvation. Its really cut and dry. Salvation is a gift by grace and if grace abounds more than sin, how can sin effect salvation? It cant... Get over it and stop adding works to salvation kid
Ezekiel 36:25-27 KJV
(25) Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
(26) A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
(27) And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

It is not about adding works, works are the fruit. These verses show that God will
1. Clean us
2. Give us a new heart
3. Put His spirit within us.
4. Cause us to walk in His statutes and judgements.

If a person who has given their life to God does not live this life then it is an indication God is not working in them. We are to daily surrender to God, it should be the first thing we do when we wake up each day. Conversion is not just a once off.

This is the kind of teaching that turns the grace of God into lasciviousness.
No it's not and it never will be. This man has an understanding about the grace of God in relationship to the times we may fail or even fall into sin. Personal sin breaks our fellowship momentarily, but by faith, the grace of God will make us stand and restore our fellowship and that is not lasciviousness but rather a fellowship of grace. Do we believe that when sin may abound in our life or in the life of another that the grace of God does much more abound, if not, then we have no hope through God's grace.

Rom 5:1,2, 15,20, 14:4, Psalm 37:23,24, 63:8, Eph 1:7,8, 2Thes 2:16,

Highway,

You don't exactly get the fact that some people cannot pull up their boots and clean the barn. They lack mental capacity. God says, He knows this and He understands... That's why He will judge the heart by the gospel believed and also assures us, "my grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness", "My yoke is easy and My burden is light", "a smoldering wick He will not snuff out and a bruised reed He will not break.", "the greatest of these is love, love never fails."

The believers of grace do not turn grace into lasciviousness, read the verse it is the carnal mind that looks at grace as a means for lawlessness.

It's difficult to understand where you are going since you are using verses completely out of context...
especially 2 Cor 12.9, that one has nothing at all to do with salvation.

I think its safe to state you also believe grace is all you need and you are free to live anyway you like.

That is my point, once you are saved by that grace, you are not free to live anyway you want. If there is not true repentance by godly sorrow, there is only spiritual death [See 2 Cor 7.8-10]

Notice what he said, it is not a momentary (which could be a period of time) lapse, it is wilfull sin without remorse or repentance. That is not what grace is about, that is what the unpardonable sin is about...

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

even if he says that we can sin all we want and that we do not have to live a life for God? Even saying that I can be an active murderer and still make it to Heaven?

Shall we sin so that God's grace may abound?

Romans 3:28-31 KJV
(28) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
(29) Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
(30) Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
(31) Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

We are justified by grace through faith, no amount of keeping the law will justify us. Then after we are justified we are to establish the law. Which law is Paul referring to that we are to establish? This teaching that grace releases us from any part of the 10 commandments is turning the grace of God into lasciviousness. Jesus did not come to release us from the 10 commandments but, from the penalty of the law.

If God could have changed any part of the law He would have done it before, then Jesus would not have to have had to die. The fact that Jesus died for us proves the law cannot be changed.

Some of you have gotten so far away from what it means to turn grace into lasciviousness. I do not believe in the concept of antinomianism because of the work of grace God establishes in the believer at salvation and God's faithfulness to continually perform that work of grace until the day of redemption of our bodies (Phil 1:6). The believer may not understand grace but he learns to grow in it and how to receive it through humility. The believer may have bouts with sin, the flesh, lust patterns and even youthful lust throughout his adulthood but God deals with that through a plan that includes grace and the cross. Those who are against the grace of God in a ministry of grace that teaches the believer to deny ungodliness and worldly lust, they make no provision to administer grace when others fail and do not tolerate the love of God that covers a multitude of sins.

They insert into that administration a form of righteousness that goes against the authority of grace and truth that allows believers to fail and even fall, receive grace, stand up and be restored and go on by faith without probation. They do not have grace in their heart to see others restored that they have written off because of some sin or practice of sin that has offended or upset them or others. They also refuse the authority of any leadership that God has established by the righteousness of His grace. Those who turn grace into lasciviousness continually oppose the work of grace in the heart of believers who are weak and frail in their humanity or flesh and never understand that God chooses those kind of individuals to confound others so that no flesh should glory in his presence (1 Cor 1:27-29). The elder brother in (Luke 15) is a type of those who turn grace into a corrupt thing. He despised his father for showing his younger brother mercy and grace and told his father that he deserved to party (the fatted calf) with his friends and not his brother. Even though his father tried to reason with him he would have none of it. Being duty bound without grace in the heart produces hardness and resentment against those who are weakest and who fail the most and need more grace than others.

The lasciviousness of (Jude 1:4) is a form of unbridled lust that does everything in its power to keep others from receiving and growing in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. This lasciviousness is a form of unrestrained lust that must control others and situations to establish an authority that repudiates the authority of grace and any teaching or actions that would give others what they do not deserve over and over. The difference between these and the legalist is this, the legalist's actions and doctrine is based upon the letter of the law without grace and these who turn grace into lasciviousness are those who reject grace and are against grace and accuse those who minister grace as being antinomian or hypergrace.

The entire epistle of Jude pivots around v.4 and those corrupt teachers who were ordained to "this condemnation" and who were denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Much of the Book of Jude (see v.4 ff) is an indictment of those same men who would creep into churches and advance notions of turning the grace of God into justification for lasciviousness, wantonness and sensuality.

Similarly, in Romans 3:8, Paul tells how some had slanderously reported that Paul and his team had taught: "Let us do evil, that good may come?". Paul's conclusion concerning those propogating such errors: "whose damnation is just."

You can sin all you want and never lose salvation, i wouldnt recommend it though... You are saying you can lose salvation, right?
You can but you will not because you love Him because He loves you first.

Some of us, meaning you, have gotten away from proper Bible Hermeneutics. You look at the Bible only through the lens of grace, because that is the message today. Every parable, every story, everything in the Bible and everything God says is about his grace and you believe that once you take the grace of God, that will prohibit you from going to hell and face eternal judgement. Jesus Said I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but through me. You sir, state without hesitation that grace gets you to God, you are wrong period. Hypergrace folks like you, remove Jesus from the process, therefore you turn the grace of God into lasciviousness, because you deny Jesus Christ and the grace that kept him on the cross, in favor of God's grace that he favored you enough to redeem you from separation and sin.

Jesus did not say I am the way, the truth, the life and the grace. It was by God's grace he sent his only begotten son, that whoever believes on him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. God's grace will carry a person straight to hell, because God does not send anyone to hell, you earn your way to hell, because the wages of sin is death.

To further solidfy this theology, most hypergrace believers are taught the OT is irrelevant for them today, because it was during the dispensation of law and since we are now in the dispensation of grace, we don't even need to bother ourselves with reading it or applying anything contained it to our lives today. They are taught the law was abolished and that because of God's unmerited favor and his plan of redemption, I only need to believe solely in the grace of God's and not that Jesus paid a price. If you remove Jesus, you remove salvation and the need to come to true godly sorrow and repentance and and fail to become Christ like.

The hypergrace message avoids any discussion, preaching/teaching on the blood, the cross, SIN, consequence from SIN, true repentance, sanctification, being holy and separated from the world, the Fear of the Lord, righteousness, and in some circles JESUS CHRIST and him crucified and that there is indeed a hell to shun and heaven to gain.

The hypergrace messengers also teach to debate and argue with anyone that preaches/teaches/talks about the blood, the cross, the fear of the Lord, the need to live holy and righteous as being bigoted, antinomian, intolerant and insensitive to God's gift of Grace. They stress that with God's grace people are free to live any way they want. The Bible says otherwise

True agape love is a love that seeks no expectation of any kind of return and gives someone the love they need not want they want or desire and that sometimes means a swift kick in the behind. Your message of grace denies this, although the Bible teaches us this.

I have a very dear friend and his family that had been delivered from the living hell of meth use, both him and his wife, were career meth users and were even involved in the manufacture and distribution of meth. They have 3 kids, all of whom were impacted greatly by this chosen lifestyle.

They came to Jesus and were convicted with Godly sorrow and true repentance, they were delivered of drugs, booze, cigarettes, immorality, satanic worship and occult practices and were completely delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of his dear son.

2 years ago they visited a local seeker friendly grace is all you need church and it told them, everything they had learned about being holy and righteous and all the changes they had made over the last 5 years were not needed...because they did it under the law and are condemned and under the law! ALL THEY NEEDED WAS GOD'S GRACE!!! The pastor and his wife and all their leaders and all the people accepted them as they used to be, not how they had become...this pastor perverted the message of God's grace.

My friend rejected me and all of us that had helped him, including the night, over 5 years ago, I pulled a loaded shot gun out of his face and kept him from killing his wife, because all he could see through his drug fueled eyes was a demon.

He said we led him astray, and turned him into a pharisee and that God' grace is all he needed. My love for him let him and his family go and it was one of the most hardest, agonizing things I have ever done in my Christian walk. I prayed and fasted for days over this with God and let him go.

They went to that church 1 year, the grace of God was letting that church invite non church people to church and drink church provided beers and wine smoke church provided cigarettes, all in the name of GRACE evangelism. No church people could imbibe or smoke. Then God's grace allowed the Sr. Pastors son to convince my friends teenage daughter to have sex with him and his girlfriend. The the enemy came in like a flood and my friend and his wife lost their jobs. When offerings were not coming in God's grace dried up at that church and they were shunned. The pastors son claimed he was seduced by their daughter and the daughter attempted suicide and nearly died.

They left that church and came back to us and we loved them with open arms, and together and working with each otherwe removed stinking thinking and grace is all you need from them. He got back into ministry for which he is called, things improved and God made it right again..

He then attended a GRACE revival and left again....

The are now in another hyper grace church and are fully ok with using drugs, smoking and drinking and letting their daughter date and have sexual relationships with girls. They are fine without praying or reading the Bible, becasue grace is all they need. It's ok that they are immoral again, ebcause as he told me. Man fool, I can go get forgiveness every sunday morning and dont have to live like Jesus did, becaue it aint about Jesus, its about GOD's Great Grace...Fool!

They claim grace is all they need and in an ironic way they would be right.

Only by the grace of God will they get out of the mess, that started when they were enticed by some ungodly people in a GRACE church, that enticed them and began telling them that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives and have denied the Lord, Jesus Christ.

The crazy thing is he teaches and preaches like you Brad, he says the exact same things you did in your reply....and he doe sbetween taking drags of his joints and sips of whiskey and tells me how he can have sex with other women, besides his wife because God's grace is enough....

You will now say he was never saved to begin with...

Romans 6:1-2 KJV
(1) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
(2) God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Yes grace is not a license to sin, we are saved by grace through faith for good works

Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV
(8) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
(9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.
(10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
I am glad you posted this! There was something in there I really needed to be reminded of!

That is where this teaching leads people. We are not saved by grace alone. We are saved by grace through faith. Faith lays hold on the promises of God.

Luke 14:27-33 KJV
(27) And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
(28) For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
(29) Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
(30) Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
(31) Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
(32) Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
(33) So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

These verses Jesus is teaching that there is preparation and cost involved in following Jesus. The teaching that grace releases us from the law or any part of it is against what Christ is teaching here. Also this false doctrine there is no preparation and cost.

I have never in my 40 years as a believer ever once believed nor have I said that grace allows the believer to live any way they want to live with no consequences. Only a liberal minded fool would believe such a thing as you have accused me of. No one is permitted to live an ungodly or immoral life through grace. As a matter of fact, no one is given any measure of grace to live in sin in any capacity. The only thing that God has provided to any one who wants to live in sin is DEATHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shall I say it again????????????? The wages of sin is death!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hello, are you listening before you go into your tirade again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, start thinking soberly and maybe we will discuss the grace of God and how it applied to sin and how to live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world.

If any of you believe that keeping, observing or remembering the Sabbath is a righteous act or that God imparts righteousness to you if you do so, then by all means honor the Sabbath. BUT, if you, as a NT believer see no reason in honoring the Sabbath in this manner because you are under the conviction through the Spirit that you have found your rest and you have ceased from all your labors when you came to Christ, then there is no commandment that you are under to do so. You are free to live in Christ who is the Lord of the Sabbath having ceased from all your labors and any works of the law for righteousness. Does this mean that we do not rest from physical labor once a week, NO! Does this mean that we don't gather ourselves together with other believers, NO! Does this mean that we are disrespectful of others who honor the Sabbath and keep it as a commandment, NO! However, there is no commandment under the new covenant that any believer is required to keep, observe or remember concerning the Sabbath.

If you are Jewish and believe in Christ and want to honor and keep the Sabbath, you may do so without being judged and by the same token the NT believer, whether Jew or Gentile, is under no obligation to keep the Sabbath and should not be so judged to keep. All the commandment of the law, including the ten commandments are fulfilled through the royal law of love. When we are filled with the Spirit and walk in the Spirit, bearing the fruit of the Spirit through the love of God, we are fulfilling the law of Christ having a faith that works by love and God imparts his righteousness and counts what we do through that love as the righteousness of the saints where grace is reigning unto eternal life.
