One must step into Jesus not out of Jesus,,when we step into Jesus how can one be self righteous because Jesus-es word is controlling my mind set, Jesus is righteous and all of Jesus es word is righteous,, so when i hear something like,, that is not righteous like no man can go without sinning well that is because you personally have stepped out of Jesus.. If your born again you have the seed in you and you have sinned that is because you did not have his word at the time that is why you sinned, you stepped out and walked in the flesh,, some step in for longer some don't,, that's it...many bad doctrines about righteousness and about the flesh controlling the spirit,, all rubbish complete and utter rubbish,,, if you walk in the flesh you sin,, if you walk in the spirit you do not,, how can you sin if your walking in the spirit,,,
the doctrine about its ok to sin,, it is not ok to sin that is what you call a weekend faith or a one day a week faith,,
so many scriptures twisted and badly indoctrinated there ever where,, where not under the law is a twisted doctrine that has no solid foundation all people is argue on that one ,, the only solid foundation that i know off where one can not slip up is the one that Jesus says sin no more,, you can not slip up from that doctrine,,
How does one 'step into and then out of Jesus?' Please explain.
Where does God's Spirit come into your formula?(Rom 8)
Where does death to sin (Rom 6) and the law (Rom 7) and our being risen with Him fit in your scheme of things?(Col 3:1-3)
We are not under law but under grace.(Rom 6:14; Gal 2:21).

Crossnote I ALWAYS presented you with Scripture so once again I will ask you this one.... Do you believe that is the SEED of God is in a man that this man CAN sin? I mean God does say this man can NOT SIN God first says this man DO NOT SIN, and CAN NOT SIN.

Now I ask you does such a man, WITH THE SEED OF GOD REMAINING IN THIS MAN, sin and CAN HE SIN?

I do not want you to NOT understnad the question so I will ask again.

Let us say that BEN is a man BORN OF GOD, and the SEED OF GOD REMAINETH IN BEN.... does BEN SIN? CAN BEN SIN?

Two questions... ONE.. .BEN HAS THE SEED OF GOD REMAINETH IN HIM. So does he sin?.... Two BEN IS BORN OF GOD... CAN HE SIN?

God says a VERY LOUD NO TO TBOTH THESE QUESTIONS.... And here God says it... 1 John 3:9... Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Crossy what part of SINNETH NOT and CANNOT sin do you NOT understand? I just do not get it, it is so plainly put in this verse that GOD's SEED IS SOMETHING THAT KEEPS US SINLESS AND THAT GOD ALSO ANSWER THE CANNOT SIN RIGHT IN THIS ONE VERSE.... Then if we have ANY doubt God Also CONFIRMS THIS WITH KNOWLEDGE...

1 JOhn 5:18.... Look WE SHOULD ALSO KNOW THIS.... These people did (but then they were the PEOPLE BORN OF GOD).... We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
1Jn 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

Who are the people of God? The sinless (sinneth not /cannot sin) ones or the sinners? Looks like sinners (the world) lie in iniquity (sin) and they lie in God (perfection).

Cobus,
We have been around this block many many times. When you went to the amusement park as a kid, did you go on the same ride over and over?

Seriously and simply.
The true Christian has indwelling in him the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit will not sin against Himself.
The true Christian (born anew) has a new nature which DESIRES God's will...but
Due to the flesh (old nature) there often is a struggle between the two.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
(Gal 5:16-18)

God's Spirit is at work in us both to will and to do His good pleasure. (Phil 2:13)

Perfection? Not yet, but as we grow in faith through trials and tribulations we/God increases fruit from us.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
(Gal 5:22-25)

You can respond, but I am tired for now of this ride.

Crossnote 100% correct but you did not answer my question. And again as Long as I DESIRE there is the WANTING....

God says the COMPLETE desires NOTHING ...WANTING NOTHING... Do you see that he COMPLETED MAN IS PERFECT?

Remember crossnote many read this and they have to know NOT TO STOP UNTILL GOD HAS FINISHED HIS LEADING US TO PERFECTION... Do not Stop WANTING GOD unti you GET GOD! ENDURE TO THE END AND THEN YOU WILL BE SAVED.

God does not save and you still have to endure... You have to endure to be saved.... Just do what the Bible says....

If you have hope to be God's Child, then PURIFY YOURSELF.... Look how GOOD God says it in 1 John 3: 3...And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Love you Crossnote, And sorry if I seen boring, I just wnat God's will be done in us BOTH as it is done in heaven....PERFECTLY! And now I am also finished with the ride LEt it rest COBUS.

I love you all here on CC and in that I am perfect! I have not EVER not loved a person on CC, God will witness this with me. And soon as I see it becomes DIRTY water like it just did in hte Bible Study Room, then I leave! I am busy CLEANING MYSELF, PURIFYING MYSELF, I cannot d oit in DIRTY WATER like,.... We will always sin (dirty water) Nobody is perfect (Dirty Water) We are only human (dirty water) All these justifying sin is DIRTY WATER.

I CANNOT purify in dirty water. I purify in LIVING WATER... the Word of God IS LIVING WATER... THIS IS LIVING WATER..... MAt 5:48... Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

I LOVE ALL IN CC! LORD PLEASE WITNESS WITH ME THAT I DO! AMEN!

Lord let me love you this way, and if I do, also witness this with me PLEASE LORD CHRIST JESUS, AMEN!

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Matt 10
21
And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

Not perfect until the end.

True righteousness is doing what God says is right

Self righteousness is doing what self thinks is right

Cain had self rightteousness when he decided to worship his new invented way
Abel had God's righteousness when he worshipped how God told him to

Noah had Gods righteousness when he built Gods boat and used Gods plans
the billions of other churches in his era had self righteousness thinking Noah was a fool

Gods righteousness is never getting divorced
Self righteousness is divorcing for any excuse

The pope has self righteousness when he says he can forgive sins
true christians have Gods righteousness when they Go to JEsus to forgive sins.

Gods righteousness is worshipping on the Sabbath his way
Self righteousness is worshipping on sunday which is never mentioned in the Bible

You are right

we should never do self righteousness ever for that is sin

we should worship God his way on the seventh sabbath day//

amen to this thread.

Righteousness - when you look it up means TEN COMMANDMENTKEEPING

did you ever look it up?

why not?

Cobus,
I'm already saved, and yes He is working on us.

2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Faith is walking according to, believning in and doing all of Gods word from Genesis to revelation

following only part of Gods word is self righteousness

We all fail at times and that failure makes us stronger. I didn,t care for Creeflo before but since his failure,He now preaches the cross and a lot of his members have left because of it. I know, His church is not far from. Listen to what he preaches now its totally different. The same thing,in away, happened to Jimmy Swaggert.

Even a mega preacher takes his faith of the cross it spells failure. The book of Hebrews is the hall of fame of failures but their triumphant return.

I agree Jesus saved us by righteousness
and he sanctifies us (changes our characters) by obedience each day like a child growing up

without the sanctification you
will not
see God

Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

this is the part of the gospel the cheap broad way religion ignores to destroy people with.

Follow Jesus

Jesus says follow me

the cross paid the penalty for our sins
those who refule to be sanctified are not fit for heaven

daily repentance and obedience to Gods word is key for sanctification holiness

without which you will not see God

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

It is this simple

JEsus died for your sins to give you the power to stop being a brat

if the brat wants to change and prays and pleads he will become a noble ambassador of love

if the brat remains a brat because JEsus died for his sins
he will perish'

the broad road gospel gives only half the gospel
