As everyone else said, it's the lyrics and the intention of the music that matters.
I was listening to christian music only for a few months, not purposely it just turned out that way, and it always gave me a deep sense of peace. When I switched back over to worldly music, wow, what a difference. You are so much more aware of the intention and lyrics of songs and you just can't find the same kind of satisfaction.
