Jesus never, not even once, talked about Sunday but He over and over again taught us how to honor the Sabbath in light of loving God and loving others. Jesus even confirmed the Sabbath forty years after His resurrection, Matthew 24:20. His followers continued to honored the Sabbath, according to the commandment, after the death of Jesus, Luke 23:56. Any comments on the fact that Jesus never taught us to do away with seventh day Sabbath in order to honor Sunday?
Paul's manner was to keep the Sabbath and he did not EVER reference Sunday as a day of worship.

Should this not be the account of us all:

In Colossians 2:16-17, the apostle Paul declares, “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.” Similarly, Romans 14:5 states, “One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.” These Scriptures make it clear that, for the Christian, Sabbath-keeping is a matter of spiritual freedom, not a command from God. Sabbath-keeping is an issue on which God’s Word instructs us not to judge each other. Sabbath-keeping is a matter about which each Christian needs to be fully convinced in his/her own mind.
Therefore, let us not condemn one another, as to if they do or do not keep one day above another, as long as they do it unto the Lord.

Sunday is the day the Lord rose. Christians have gathered to remember Jesus rising since the first day he did it. This has nothing to do with the Sabbath. You are confusing issues. You should read the early fathers they talk about how the Jews worship on the Sabbath but the Christians don't.

And that is in error also. Christ rose on Sabbath afternoon at/about sunset just as He said He would...

Mat 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Christ was crucified on the Passover, Wednesday, April 25 (when we convert to Gregorian), 31AD and put into the heart of the earth at/about sunset. He arose 72 hours later, just as He said He would.

Instead of reading the early (Catholic) fathers (Mat 23:9) you should read the scripture.

when all the ones heard it once and accept or reject the truth finally then Jesus returns
absolutely nowhere does the bible say that worldwide sabbatarian preaching is a prerequisite for christ's second coming...that is an extrabiblical doctrine...

A Christian comes to you and says, "Receive Christ and you will no longer have to call the Sabbath a delight". "Come to Christ and that day you call a joy and a blessing to celebrate will be done away" "Come to Christ and be delivered from the blessings of honoring God and fellowshiping with His people on His special day" "Come to Christ and He will deliver you from the delight of the Sabbath" "Come to Christ and He will deliver you from the Lord's Day and save you from riding on the high hills of the earth and from being fed with the heritage of Jacob" "Come to Christ and all those Sabbath fellowships and family gatherings on God's ordained day will be out of your life and done away with"
this is a false dichotomy...

the fact is that the majority of christians are not converts from judaism and so they were never sabbath observant in the first place...

nobody had to teach new christians -not- to keep the sabbath...they were never bound by the sabbath law to begin with...

but nowdays we have false teachers going around telling christians that they suddenly have a new requirement to keep the sabbath...

acts 15:10..."Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear?"

in his entire ministry jesus never once commanded anyone to keep the sabbath...and this was not for lack of opportunity either...jesus simply didn't care very much about the sabbath...

he even broke the sabbath once...

john 5:18..."For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God."

notice that these are the words of the inspired narrator himself...so you cannot claim that it was simply the opinion of the pharisees... and also the verse says jesus was calling God his father...which nobody ever tries to dismiss as merely an accusation made by the pharisees...

your version of events contradicts clear scripture...

mark 16:9..."When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons."

people wouldn't have nearly as much of a problem with your sabbath keeping if you weren't constantly rewriting scripture in order to support it...

You are misunderstanding this passage. He is saying don't let anyone's judgement of you KEEP you from keeping the Sabbath and the Holy Feasts. It was in large part for this very thing that they were persecuted and killed. This is a matter of deep study. Let me share a link with you: Colossians 2 | 119 Ministries

It can be hard to open your mind and humble your heart to step outside of the mainstream of belief and become a peculiar person. I wish you all blessings and pray that your mind is quickened and your education becomes complete in this matter.

Are you accusing Messiah of being a sinner? Sounds like it. Be careful what you say. Words are powerful, and calling the unblemished, perfect lamb a sinner would not sit well in the ears of the Father who created him and sent him to save you from your sin.

No, he did not break the Sabbath. That was precisely the point. He would never violate the law because he fulfilled it, not abolished it. The Pharisees had turned the law into a club to beat the people with it, and it was THEIR law Yeshua broke. Healing a cripple, forgiving him of his sins, and advising him to carrying his mat out of the pool area are not violations of he Sabbath. None of these things constitute "work" to anyone but a Pharisee.

Please educate yourself. Accusing Yeshua of being a sinner is blaspheme, and profaning his holiness. You are calling him imperfect, and frankly, it's insulting to the only perfect person who ever lived. Please stop. Your soul is in danger.

i am -not- calling jesus a sinner...it was not a sin when jesus broke the sabbath...and here is why...

matthew 12:5..."Or haven’t you read in the Law that the priests on Sabbath duty in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are innocent?"

jesus of course is our high priest as several passages in both the old and new testaments show...such as this one...

hebrews 4:14..."Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess."

we are -also- priests...and therefore like jesus we -also- can 'desecrate the sabbath' while remaining innocent of sin...

1 peter 2:9..."But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."

this holds as long as the work we do is for God...which for christians at least should -always- be the case...

1 corinthians 10:31..."So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

all of our work should be to the glory of God...and if our work on the sabbath falls into this category...then we can break the sabbath without sinning...just as jesus did...

and to answer your objection...which is a common error that plainly contradicts the text...the inspired narrator in john 5:18 simply -does not say- that jesus was merely breaking the law of the pharisees...it says very bluntly that jesus was 'breaking the sabbath'

but again this was not a sin and presents no problem...as i have already shown...

The Bible says that Jesus took the physical day sabbath out of the way nailing it to His cross so nobody can tell you to keep a physical day of rest.

The Bible says that with stammering lips and another tongue God will speak to the people in the future and said this is the rest and the refreshing, yet they would not hear.

We go by a spiritual rest sabbath by the Holy Spirit.

The 7th day was given to the Jews to observe a physical day of rest in honor of this physical world.

Jesus said he went to prepare a place for us which is the New Jerusalem a spiritual world so we celebrate a spiritual rest in honor of that spiritual world the New Jerusalem.

That which is first is natural then that which is spiritual which the physical sabbath was a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ by the Holy Spirit, and Jesus took the physical odinances away which lists the physical sabbath.

The Bible says that the physical sabbath was made for man not man for the physical sabbath.

What about the animals they are to rest on the Sabbath too. Also those who are not God's people, they too are supposed to rest on the Sabbath. That means the Sabbath is more than just a spiritual rest for sinners. The fourth commandment speaks of the seventh-day as a memorial of creation that testifies of God as Creator.

Mar 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

Jesus was risen, early on the first day of the week.

Please instruct us as to when punctuation was added to the N.T.

Mat 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
Mat 28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
Mat 28:3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
Mat 28:4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
Mat 28:5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
Mat 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Luk 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
Luk 24:2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
Luk 24:3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

Joh 20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
Joh 20:2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

On the morning of the first day of the week, while it was yet dark, He was already gone.

Now please show me three days and three nights from Friday sunset.

Count 'em for me.

Perhaps you could show me the count of three days and three nights from Friday sunset to Sunday morning before sunrise. I would be very eager to see how one can do that.

the original greek doesn't allow for your 'move the punctuation' games...it is even -clearer- and even more impossible to twist into meaning anything other than the fact that jesus rose on sunday...

here is the greek..."Anastas de proi prote sabbatou ephane proton Maria te Magdalene par hes ekbeblekei hepta daimonia."

and a word for word translation from an interlinear bible..."And rising early on the first day of the week he appeared first to Mary the Magdalene from whom he had expelled seven demons."

so this makes it absolutely crystal clear that jesus rose -on sunday-

of course this scriptural fact turns your modern 'wednesday crucifixion and seventy-two hours as timed on a stopwatch' doctrine into a self contradictory disaster...because then jesus would be in the tomb 'three days and -four- nights'...

but that poses no problem to -real- believers in scripture because all -we- have to do is dispense with any doctrine that doesn't agree with scripture...such as the one you are promoting here... but people like you who cling to unbiblical myths on the other hand have a tougher time...

It is pretty easy to count.
1, 2, 3.
Friday = 1 day
Saturday = 2 days
Sunday = 3 days.

Putting a western spin on things and saying it has to be 72 hours is a false reading of scripture and importing things into the scripture that isn't there.

But I'm very glad that you clearly understand that Jesus rose on Sunday morning, and that is the time we remember and celebrate Jesus' rising.
