If someone is doing evil things to you, planned out things. Because they are doing evil they are evil and possessed. That being the case most of us have been attacked by a demon (demon possessed person).

I know of men who have been attacked by demon possessed people but saved people cannot be possessed by demons. Demons and Christ do not share space in the heart of a man.

Scripture please.
If you have an old man in you, which is a spirit that has a part of the devil in it, which makes it sinful like the devil, and a new man, which also is a spirit that has a part of God in it, which makes it holy like God, how can you say that God and a devil cannot share the same house. Just because light and darkness cannot be together, does not mean they cannot be in two separate rooms.
You have no scripture to back up what you said, and clearly don't know what you are talking about.
What do you think mentally ill and physically sick people have in them? God?!
Those are evil spirits that have been sent to afflict the person, even though you can see it under a microscope or some physical affect, like the lady that was bowed over for 18 years. Jesus said it was the devil that made her that way.

A key to remember in dealing with these is that YOU have to rebuke it in the name of Christ. Don't ask God to do it, YOU do it in His Name.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also;and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto myFather.

Christ has the power, but it is up to US to enforce it until He returns.
Finally, someone who understands this part of the covenant.
Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
This does not mean to just stand there doing nothing but getting beat over the head.
The word of God is a sword of the Spirit.
You need to use it like they did in Jesus' time to fight against the enemy and to defend yourself and others around you.

Some people say that demonic possession can only happen to the unsaved, but the saved cannot be possessed and completely taken over by a demon, unless they invite the demon into them. When I think of this, I think of total possession. Example: the movie The Exorcist. Now, I do believe that total possession, like The Exorcist, is not possible if one is truly saved. However, I do believe that demons can attach themselves to you and you can pick them up just by simply going to a mall or a night club, to name a few. I do believe that these demons can reek havoc in your life and one should learn to repent "on a regular basis" to rid themselves of these demons. Not only that, I believe that once you have learned how you have picked up these demons, you should do everything possible to avoid doing it again and educating yourself on how to keep from picking up anymore demons!

Just a thought. ;)

Yes. I have also had a demon manifest once through another person and could feel the presence of evil often in that house. The way you put it was great. "Feeling like your body is scared, but you don't know why.'' It is like your body goes on high alert.

Resist the devil and he MUST flee. God hasn't forsaken you. Even believing that, which is a lie of the enemy, can shake your faith, which is exactly what you need in order to stand against the enemy. I, personally, would be in some serious prayer about it. I'm talking the full out, ''fervent prayer of the righteous man,'' type prayer. I'll pray for you too, bro. Stay into reading your Bible and praying STAND firm, speak authoritatively in full faith that God is right there with you and waging this battle for you...speak, ''The Lord rebuke you.'' This thing CANNOT prevail against you. The Bible tells me so.

What are you looking for sir, scripture?
Mar 3:23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
Mar 3:24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
Mar 3:25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
Mar 3:26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27 No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.

1Jn 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Luk 13:10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
Luk 13:11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
Luk 13:12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
Luk 13:13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
Luk 13:14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
Luk 13:15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
Luk 13:16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

Mar 9:17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
Mar 9:18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
Mar 9:19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
Mar 9:20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
Mar 9:21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
Mar 9:22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
Mar 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mar 9:24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
Mar 9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
In today's world we have a name for this disease, but back then a foul spirit was cast out. Just because times have changed in the natural, doesn't mean the source of the things that cause the problems have changed.

Mat 18:34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
Mat 18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Everything Jesus did was against the works of the devil. If it was of God, then He would have been fighting against Himself.

Just because we have instruments that show us cancer and viruses and deformities in the brain, and the like, there is no demonic spirit present.
The things we can now see, Jesus cast out and healed with His word.

Re: Any Christian on here ever been actually attacked by a demon????

The teaching that "it is up to the Christian to make it happen" is more false than true. The Bible says, "Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit" (Zeph. 4:6). When Christians pray in the hundreds or thousands for someone to be healed, etc., and it doesn't happen, the foundational reason is usually because those Christians are trying to 'make it happen' by might and power. Might and power simply mean human ability. They pray to God but don't know to seek His will or strategy for the healing or whatever they are seeking. When they don't specifically seek His way of doing things, they will usually be automatically doing things "by might" and "by power". We see this truth in that Jesus did nothing of His own might and power but what He saw God doing (i.e. God did it through Him because He was always seeking God's way or wisdom in how to proceed).

You are precisely right - not by might, not by power, but by His Spirit is the only way. I liken it to the County Sheriff. The actual Sheriff holds the authority, but he doesn't go out on patrol. He has deputies who patrol and enforce his authority for him. It's not the Joe who wears the badge who has authority to arrest the perp - it's the authority in the badge that allows the Joe who wears it to do the arresting. Jesus is our Sheriff, we are His deputies, and it is our job to - led by the Holy Spirit - enforce it. But for sure, don't try to take down the perp without your badge on you.

We Christians hold many unbiblical teachings today as biblical. You hear something enough times, you start believing it in spite of evidence to the contrary. They talk about self-deliverance today. Though it is possible to pray for healing or deliverance for yourself, the Bible does not tell anyone to cast demons out of themselves or to heal themselves. Rather, it puts that ministry in the hands of other Christians outside of the Christian who is having the issue. Furthermore, some evil spirits you command to leave and some you ask God to take care of; still for others, you need the help of other Christians along with God's strategy to resolve the issue. The Bible is full of examples of these if you want some.

Excelent point, you can not cast a demon out of yourself. That does take the hands and ministry of Christians outside the afflicted. So many of God's gifts are just like that - thru you not to you. But while a Christian cannot cast a demon from themself, they can still rebut attacks upon them, and be the hands and ministry to another in possession/oppression.

Please give me an example or two of a spirit you command vs one you ask God to take care of...

Jesus said that those who believe in Him will do the works He did and even greater. Follow me here: Jn. 3:16 says that those who believe will have eternal Life. The word 'believe' in the Bible often means 'follow'. Parents desire their kids to do better than them; and the Lord desires His people to do more than He did. However, if it is "not by might nor by power but by My Spirit", then what does this mean for the person who 'does the works of Christ'? It means that those who will do His works are those who follow Him through whom He will do the works. This basically means that if He isn't the one doing the works, then no amount of 'believing' will make it happen for a Christian. The Christian who follows Him will do what he sees Him doing (and therefore it will work) just as Jesus followed the Father and did what He saw Him doing (and therefore everything He did worked). This is the meaning of that passage, and it is how it works.

You are so right. One must follow God to be led by the Spirit, and one must be led by the spirit to wear the badge of his Sheriff. That's kind of the cool part, when led by the Spirit to confront demons, and they complain about it, I get to tell them to take it up with my Supervisor. 'Cause there's nothing I'm doing to control them, other than to participate with the Spirit.

Too often I see Christians who spend their time and energy praying God do this and God do that. And there are times when God does indeed do this and that. But there are times when we need to do this and that. And one of those times is when dealing with the demon afflicted.
Excellent points Allen. Thanks for filling in some blanks left from before.

Thank you Know1 for your response. I will address the mentally ill. Mental illness can come about in various ways, car wreck, hit in the head, chemicals and so forth. A person that has brain damage from being hit in the head may not be able to defend his or herself from demonic attacks through prayer. In the very far past we did so really bizarre things to these people looking for a cure. Many rich people put their brain damaged relatives in care facilities. The poor could not afford this and had to take care of their own. The poor did a lot of praying and rebuking of demons trying to control the Behavior of the mentally ill. Today we have medication that more or less renders the mentally ill to exist in a zombie state. Technology has made great advances in the repair of a damaged brain and now we regress to controlling them through medication and a microchip. This is where we as Christians have too make a stand. a robot has no will of its own and neither does a medicated, micro chipped human. We need to pray that this type of voluntary or involuntary invasion of micro chip technology is ended in totality. Demons are not just Spirit, they can be devices made by man. You can't just cast out a micro chip. Research, Mark of the Beast 666 micro chip made by the company verichip. The game has changed. Demons are using devices placed inside of the bodies of people. I know there is hope because the Bible says:

KJV
Psalms 140:8
Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.
Isaiah 32:7 | The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

Psalms 33:10 | The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

I'm going to paste and respond to two comments:

Know1 said, "Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. This does not mean to just stand there doing nothing but getting beat over the head. The word of God is a sword of the Spirit. You need to use it like they did in Jesus' time to fight against the enemy and to defend yourself and others around you."

When David tried to bring the Ark to Jerusalem, it turned into a disaster, and he left it with someone else, afraid to take it home with him. Later on, David found that only the Levites were mean to carry the Ark in a certain prescribed manner and gave it a shot: this time there was no disaster, and the Ark made it to Jerusalem. (1Chron. 13, 15.) I tell that story to communicate this about the Bible: if the Bible says one thing and you try it and it doesn't work, you need to return to the Bible and see what it is really saying. There are many who 'resist the devil' but don't see him flee. That's when you return to the Bible to find out what 'resist' means and how to resist the devil for each particular case.

DaGster said, "I do believe that demons can attach themselves to you and you can pick them up just by simply going to a mall or a night club, to name a few. I do believe that these demons can reek havoc in your life and one should learn to repent "on a regular basis" to rid themselves of these demons."

Demons attach themselves to things inside you and around you that give them legal right to attach to you. They can't just attach to you because you were in a bad environment as we see Jesus spent much of His time around sinners of all kinds and never picked up a demon. As He said, "The prince/ruler of this world is coming [and] he has nothing in Me" (Jn. 14:30); and Solomon said, "Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause will not alight" (Pro. 26:2). I don't know about sparrows, but swallows and swifts are birds that can flit and fly for long periods of time without landing. A curse or anything demonic must have a place to land in/on you, otherwise, it can't. As for repentance, that's not meant to be a prayer you pray at the start and end of each day but a lifestyle of godly living. Jesus had a godly lifestyle (He didn't need to repent the way we see the term), and the enemy couldn't touch Him as a result.

Re: Any Christian on here ever been actually attacked by a demon????

Excellent points Allen. Thanks for filling in some blanks left from before.
Examples of spirits you command as opposed to spirits you tell God to take care of:

1. You command evil spirits out of people: casting out. Terrestrial spirits or demons inhabit people and things. You cast them out, and even there, you sometimes need to seek the strategy of how to proceed which was Jesus' main point when the apostles couldn't cast out the demons in the epileptic and Jesus said, "This kind can only go out by prayer and fasting." (Mk. 9:14-29.) 'This kind' implies there are many kinds requiring different strategies. Prayer and fasting was the strategy for that one, but we know Jesus wasn't fasting but was able to cast it out, so there it again tells us to search deeper as to what Jesus was saying. That story contains a wealth of info. for those who want to know. For example, Jesus delivered the boy in spite of everyone's lack of faith and the father's doubt. Also, it was the only recorded instance where Jesus asked for information: He asked why the boy was in that state and how long he'd been in it. The boy was 'epileptic', but the demon wasn't called an epileptic demon. Rather, the boy's father called it a mute spirit. Though Jesus asked the boy's father who said it was a mute spirit, we know that Jesus was actually listening to God (as He was the boy's father), because God always has the full story. Therefore, when Jesus cast the demon out, He called it a "deaf and dumb spirit". Isn't that something? Another unique thing that happened in that instance is that it was the only recorded time Jesus forbade a demon from returning. We could have learned even more if the crowd hadn't come running, forcing Jesus to stop His lesson for us and quickly command the demon out. He had said before that when a demon leaves, it can come back if there is legal right (room) in the person. But when He delivered the epileptic boy, He said, "Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter him no more." That meant that even if there was legal ground in the boy for the spirit to return, it was barred forever and could not. I believe that Jesus made this special 'bend in the rules' because the boy had suffered all his life and because the father was so grieved. We know that the boy suffered all his life because the father said it but also because when the demon(s) left, the boy basically passed out (which implies the demon had been 'meshed' with his body and a good part of his mind/soul). If you read the story again, all these things will stand out to you.

2. You tell God to take care of principalities and powers in the air: displacing. Ruling spirits are God's jurisdiction since they are 'heavenly beings' and not earthly. Where demons are cast out, territorial or regional spirits (or princes, strongmen, principalities, powers, rulers, authorities, thrones, dominions, etc.) have to be displaced. God's angels go after them while on earth we go after demons. This is why Jesus uses terms like 'binding' when it comes to these beings. In other words, wherever Jesus went, these beings had to be bound (God took care of them if you will) so that Jesus could cast out demons on earth and deliver people without the resistance of 'heavenly spirits'. When the Pharisees accused Him of casting demons out by the power of satan, He responded that in order to spoil a strongman's goods (in order to release captives from strongmen/heavenly beings), one must bind them first-- and that one has to be stronger than them. He is talking about authority here more than power: strongman is not that they are stronger only but that they have greater authority than demons on earth. God gave them their authority to be where they are and do what they do (which is why God has to take care of them, not humans); so He is the "stronger" that Jesus talks about who, being stronger (having more authority than authorities) is able to bind them so that He can release their captives (those who are demonized or made sick or oppressed by the underlings of (demons under) these heavenly beings, etc.). (Read Lk. 11:14-22.) Strongmen are bound by God's will: e.g. if God doesn't tell you to go into a certain area or to someone and confront the demonic and you do so, you may not have results. But if He sends you to such and such person and tells you they need deliverance, etc., then as you go, whatever strongmen are over that person's life are bound (muzzled, relieved of their authority to afflict the person), so your work is done for you. But there often still remains seeking or listening for God's strategy in releasing the person from captivity. This is an area that needs teaching or study or revelation because it's pretty vast (as you can see, this post has stretched longer than I intended); but the good news is that though it's vast, it's very easy to understand when taught right, because it's like a baby's ABC building blocks: you just stack them till you have the alphabets in a row.

If you need any more examples or clarity, let me know.

Awesome. While I might quibble over a couple very minor points, I won't, because your examples show great understanding and discernment that many others should and need to know. Great job! Op - listen to this guy!

What a romantic notion. Disease is caused by demons. What of Paul with his thorn in the flesh? Was that a demon? Show me a believer in the NT who was possessed by demons. I know of some false professors who the demons knew to be false and they were beat up real bad as a result.

Old age and sickness is the result of the curse of sin upon this world. Looking for demons under every rock is just plain unprofitable.

Satan is a demon, and anyone doing the will of Satan is a demon. Those who call themselves testing others faith are doing the will of Satan. The answer to your question is yes Job was attacked by demons.

Look if you take a stand to live for God you will be attacked in many ways. Yes I have had demonic attacks. One weekend afternoon I lay on my couch and dosed off. To my dismay, I awoke unable to breath or feeling like I could not breath. I saw a face in my face and this thing sitting on my chest. I whispered Jesus, then I whispered again but a little stronger, I jsaid Jesus again and each time I said Jesus it got stronger until I was shouting Jesus and it left and my wife came running saying whats wrong. I said it's over now and Jesus took care of it.

The face was evil and I felt cold and dark and those eyes were terrible. I jthink it was Satan trying to kill me. But there is power in the name of Jesus.

You can also join a forum based on werwolves and one for vampires. Tons of people claiming they are vampires and how they live with it etc etc.

Metal illness is a very serious issue in this country, to play fun on it is sick and offensive. If these people are serious they need help themselves.
Obviously you do not know what the bible teaches.
Is it a illness for those who believe that Jesus died, Has been risen from the dead and sits up in heaven right now?
So all who believe they have had blessings from Jesus Christ are ill also?

Seems you have a null, boring, non existent spiritual life. I truly feel sorry for you. What is even more sad. The Bible speaks
of those who are blinded by what you claim does not exist. You speak of People claiming they are Vampires, etc, What is one
of Satan's and the Fallen Angels agenda? To keep people from turning to Jesus and doing his will. Would you say people that believe they are Vampires. Are they anywhere near coming to Christ and doing his will? How do we know Christ?
It is by the Holy Spirit. Do you believe the Holy Spirit exist?

How are you blinded you might ask. What is your hidden agenda? You claim CC members have never been attacked by what the scriptures clearly say about fallen angels, Satan, dark forces and principalities in high places? So Satan and fallen angels do not exist? So Adam and Eve were never tempted by Satan. Because he does not exist? They were never tempted to eat the forbidden fruit? So sin did not enter man and woman by this account? So we do not need Jesus because all of which Geneses speaks of did not happen? Meaning!.. Sin never entered us through the deeds of Adam and Eve? So non of us are Sinners? So Satan and 1/3 of the Angels. (Now Fallen) Were never cast down to this world? Why is there so much evil in the world I might ask?

I thank the Lord that I am not blinded by the ruler of this world. My eyes are open to your blessings Lord.
AMEN!
I'm sorry, You said METAL. Your right. Metal toxicity can lead to many illnesses.

The Pastor of the Church I use to attend spoke of a mission trip in So Africa. As he was leaving a witch doctors tent.
He felt a sharp pain in his back. Two weeks later, a spiritual friend of his came to his door. Immediately the pastors friend said
You have a spear in your back. That being a spiritual spear. He pulled it out. the pain was gone.
I shared his testimony with a female person that I met online. we only talked once over the phone. She was born and raised in So Africa. She said the Zulu tribes in So Africa have such a spiritual weapon. She called it another name, but said it was a spiritual spear.
She also went on to say. The witch doctors take in lots of money for healing. But they have never healed anybody. The Christians in So Africa do lots of miracle healing.

Two testimonies, complete strangers, living 100 miles from each other. One a victim of a spiritual spear. The other living around or with people that are able to use dark spiritual weapons/attacks. Validating the Pastors testimony.
