Proof of the pudding is in the eating. You see, countless people like Revalator7 start making a big song and dance about legalistic issues such as divorce, basically claiming anyone who remarries from divorce is doomed, but of course real life examples tell different story.

There are a number of people in my church who are divorcees, they have been brought together by GOd, there is one young woman who has had numerous sexual partners in previous relationships, but she was the wife that God told someone in our church he was preparing for him to marry, she was not a Christian either but commited her life to CHrist then fell in love with this chap and now they are married and strong couple serving God.

You do not go to hell for committing adultery, you go to hell for rejecting Christ.

If you divorce (except for adultery) or abandon a spouse, can you really be a Christian?
I think God can save anyone, but abandonment of wives and children is a terrible sin. Lots of problems in the world because of it too.

Scripture please.
1 corinthians 11 7 A man ought not to cover his head,[b] since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; 9 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.

I doesn't know what you are going with it, but do you believe that a man should stay married with a prostitute or still give her money to keep the relationship going?
Well technically you married her the moment you slept with her. I suppose then you either get her to turn from her whoredom and stay with her or else let her leave and you marry no more.

Hebrews 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,
that's a dreadful misapplication of that verse. :(

We live in a world that doesn't think anything about divorce. It means alot to God though.

Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality 1 Corinthians 6:9

[h=3]Adultery[/h]27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’[e] 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. -- matthew 5

You go to hell for committing adultery, AND for rejecting Christ. For committing adultery would be the very sign of rejecting Christ.

Yes, as nobody is sinless, no Christian who has not sinned since becoming a Christian, unless they died the next instant. Most Christians I know have done some pretty bad things, I think, but some "lesser" sin in me is no better, where the rubber meets the road. The most pushy law people on CC are the most hateful. If, in our merit, there's to be sinlessness, we are all damned, even though we have the Holy Spirit, the Spirit we probably GRIEVE every day. Thanks be to the Lord Jesus there is now no more condemnation!

Ok, so the Sabbath was also made for man, but to work on the Sabbath is forbidden...so don't break the law.

This putting words in the mouth thing is not something I'm very tolerant of. I said no such thing. My questioning involves unpardonable sin, for instance, so you didn't remarry anybody, you're free from sin?

i would be wary of one who comes in the label of 'psycho mom'. why would you call yourself that? honestly. doesn't sound like something jesus would approve of.

and two, i see you didn't quote your text along with mine for everyone to see why i applied that verse...

you said

the sacrifice of jesus was enough to forgive sins...... except adultery and remarriage.

you said this in a humoruos mocking way first of all...

then i gave you scripture saying

if we deliberately continue to sin knowing the truth, there is no sacrifice left for sin. hebrews 10:26

now it's for the record for all to see that you misapplied me rather than me misapplying scripture.

The lack of understanding of very basic, New Testament doctrine really is shocking, more shocking the lack of even common sense, or any realization their own sin that persists in this world and life, in their very being, whether they never marry. Just no understanding of even their own, very real issues.

I agree God can and will save anyone. One problem I have with this discussion is that, if I am a true believer in Christ, knowing that this is a sin, will I disobey Him and do it. I don't think that he would.

Psychomom is not psycho at all and she is a very nice person and tries hard to help people.

she mocked me, 1, then she said i misapplied scripture when i didn't even though what i said was perfectly clear in regards to what she wrote, keep in mind, what she wrote as she mocked me.

how is that being very nice and how is that helping me. she helps out who she wants maybe. i didn't call her phycho, i said i would be wary of someone who calls themselves pschyo, and why would you name yourself that if your'e a christain. it's like christians getting tattoos of demonic stuff like skulls or snakes. it's questionable

I don't think so either bro, but I'm not going to judge anyone. You have to live your own convictions based on what you think Gods word says. The only thing we can do is be as honest with ourselves as we can.

Yes, it is terrible, and I've also seen Christians who've paid terrible prices for terrible sins. God is not mocked. There are consequences.
