It may get a little heated sometimes, but when its over we can forgive, and forget, move on and talk about the love of Jesus.
Yup, forgive our brother will make us happy.

hahahahaha...so true! I got one a few days ago for saying 'Whatever'. I mean really 'Whatever'.

The reply was 'Don't you dare say 'Whatever' to me ever again. Thank you very much'

So I replied 'WHATEVER!' 'MOVE ON ....'

I only replied to a post that was indirect sarcasm. I'm not stupid and I can smell sarcasm whenever I read it. I was born 41yrs ago not yesterday.

It appears even common words like 'Whatever' can pierce the heart. I just laugh hard as I do find it pathetic to get your knickers in a twist. If you can't take it don't throw it.

Shouldn't the one who is offended confront the offender?
Otherwise how will the 'insensitive' offender know?
There is a way to do so without causing such a horribly nasty mess such what has been going on on the"What Did The Jews Receive First" and "Need Input without arguing concerning Strong's Concordance" for the last few days.

I'm glad Blain started this talk because it convicted me. I'm sure I've offended people here and to anyone I have I'm truly sorry. I'll try to do better.

I am here to talk about a major problem we have been having in cc. There is a huge lack of love in many of our hearts, there are many judgmental self righteous and condemning ppl and it is scaring ppl away. I have seen many dear friends leave cc because they were treated with judgmental attitudes from people who call themselves Christians but have no love in their hearts.

honestly my heart has been broken many times because some amazing and beautiful ppl who became dear and cherished friends to me have been scared away because of such attitudes, I help ppl mainly through pm and many new believers I came to into contact with have either been driven away because of such ppl or asked me if this is what it means to be a Christian.

we never really know or see the damage our words have until its too late, many do not see the damage they are doing or the ppl they are scaring away but I do. I have said it many times and I will say it again we are to be love
I hear ya brother! Proof indeed of what we are when we take our eyes off Jesus.

Watch for those that cause division and keep no company with them.

Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice, of all deceit, hypocrisy and envy, and of all the ways there are of speaking against people; and be like newborn babies, thirsty for the pure milk of the Word; so that by it, you may grow up into deliverance. 1 Peter 2:1-2 (CJB)

"Deliverance" (Gr: apolutrosis) is not found in the Greek manuscripts in 1Pe 2:1-2.

Only "salvation" (Gr: soterion) is ever found in the Greek.

Yes there is . . . and it is NOT by continually bringing up the instance again and again and again and again, etc.

DROP IT!

Actually, I posted that scripture because the topic of this thread is how people treat one another and the verse is very appropriate - "deliverance" would be a contentious subject, all things considered. So, I repeat the scripture for the benefit of the humble who are serious about obeying God: Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice, of all deceit, hypocrisy and envy, and of all the ways there are of speaking against people; and be like newborn babies, thirsty for the pure milk of the Word; so that by it, you may grow up into deliverance. 1 Peter 2:1-2 (CJB)

Before accusing others, you might want to make sure you have your facts straight as to who started what. Would be better to say nothing.

Well, not to be left out. . .my comment above bears repeating also.

And another way to show love to those who are vehement, angry and deluded is to put them on ignore. Then you will not have the temptation to fight back when you are attacked.

Actually, that strategy has worked very well with me on this particular thread. If you know someone is not posting Bible doctrines which can be discussed, but rather being nasty to anyone who does not agree with their opinion, then you can safely put them on ignore without worrying they are corrupting the forum.

For those who twist scriptures and need to be addressed "in love' that is another story. Bring on the games!

Oh yes, talking to someone "in love" doesn't always means being "nice," or ignoring the false doctrine they are teaching. I try to focus on posting the Bible in context, original languages, etc, instead of worrying about personal insults. God is good, and he is making that a ministry in my life. (No, not here!)

I haven't accused anyone of anything.

Is there any accusation toward anyone in this statement: Yes there is . . . and it is NOT by continually bringing up the instance again and again and again and again, etc? It was supposed to be a solution to the ONGOING arguing.

I was in the original conversation; I can see for myself WHO keeps bringing up the "HORRIBLY NASTY MESS" - if not directly then indirectly.

We need to understand that this board is a reflection of the Christian community in need. There are some Christians who are doing exceptional well and others who are hanging by a thread. There will be bitterness because of their plight and the need to take it out on others. The sad reality of this is when these so-called Christians will set up themselves as victims and have other Christians running to their assistance without evaluating the circumstances or events. I have been through this on both the secular board and here. Everyone on the board should have the opportunity to express his or her personal view without being attack. If I see someone's view I disagree with, I will make a comment and move on. And if it gets a point where a war will develop, I will cut the dialogue short and move on.

I guess you can say that I am a chat board veteran and know how to defend myself. In reality, most Christians are lukewarm to just the basic 'hypocrite,' and this board is no different. Read a Pew Religion Studies Report that only 6% of Christians are actually following bible doctrines.

IMHO I believe the Church that will be raptured will be quite small. And maybe that why Jesus will give the earth inhabitants a second chance to accept Him during Tribulation Period.
