I hate when women use that excuse. That's not an excuse to act mean, pick fights, be argumentative, rude etc.. etc.. As women, we've been living with hormones for all our life. If by a certain age you still can't get that some what under control.. then it's not hormones anymore, you're just a jerk.

And I would say to men, don't date or marry women who consistently use hormones as a reason to act like a psycho.

Inu, i wasn't trying to pick on you by saying this, and i did not mean any of this directed specifically at you either. :)
Holly, you're a brilliant woman for sharing this. Well done!

ahem. (glances at screen name...) hehe

men...just love us, as i know you do.

and if you have a wife/lady friend, my advice is to tell her what my husband tells me on a regular:

"God's got a plan."

you may not realize what a consolation that is.

also...can't take the time to say more cuz the Knicks play tonight! :)

I hope that the Knicks win tonight.

If she asks if a shirt makes her look fat, say yes.

If she becomes enraged, pull the following 90s escape line...

"Yes PHAT, Pretty Hot and Tempting..."

I'm glad my little comment brought such nice continued commentary... I was gonna say discussion, but it's not really a discussion...when you think about it. Anyway... New topic? I thought of this in the chat, and it nearly drove Grace 'N Boots a little crazy due to my conversational hiatus on the matter...but here goes...

So, I've always noticed and wondered about women seeming to be more physically affectionate with each other. They'll share a bed, kiss, and from what I hear...nudity from female to female doesn't really bother several of them.

For me, that's all some craziness and red flags. Put what I just said from woman to woman switched to male...*potential shudder and slight mood change*. No thank you. Not for anything less than an act of God....

So, I'm wondering about this difference... What's up with that ladies?

Women are probably more comfortable with being demonstratively more affectionate than most men, but that^ is pretty odd and extreme imho.

Haha! That's gold.

But I still wouldn't risk using it.

J's got a point... there's only a handful of men in my life from whom I can expect no ruffeled feathers if I hug them in public (not Just at church) and say, "I love you, (person's name)"
The Handful of men who I can expect a positive response is, an above average number.

Most my male firends and I greet with hugs and the ones I consider real friends would not be creeped out by an i love you type of situation.

I think it is common for women to be more affectionate and cuddly with each other. It is awkward when they start sweet talking in the middle of a group hangout, but i guess that's how most women are. They are just weirdly wired that way. :p

BTW, look what I found!

Anybody knows where I can order a copy? I need the latest revised version. I think the revised version was released only 1 second ago.

So, I'm generally an affectionate person but not just to my female friends and family but also to the males in my life(and no, not in an inappropriate way)......

My sister on the other hand..... If I show any signs of wanting to even hug her, she calls me gay:eek::rolleyes:

In response to males showing affection to other males...

I think society has taught men that to be a man you are the following...

1. Independant
2. Rough
3. Not affectionate except in private
4. Supposed to do "man things" only
5. Not allowed to show emotions unless you hit a finger doing #4

I was going to keep going, but then I realized the title of this thread is "woman to men".

But as a final point, I don't think Jesus showed any of these qualities and He was a man's man's man.

I saw this worrying video about women in Venezuela. I'd like to hear the comments of ladies on CC.

1) Do you face such situations in your daily life?
2) When are such comments on looks/physical attributes reasonable and when are they not? (For e.g. preference for life partners, etc.)
3) How do you think men (in general) can help in your personal struggle against such stereotypes?

(Please don't be offended by this video. There are certain scenes of surgery. Viewer discretion is highly advised.)

This is actually sad.... But I know a lot of woman battle with this, the feeling of being accepted as what "society" labels as beautiful. What happens when you're old and wrinkled and everything sags? No amount of surgery in the world is going to stop gravity and aging from taking it's course.

A woman needs to love herself and create her own definition of BEAUTIFUL... In the end, you can dress up the outer body and make it look all good but if your heart isn't in the right place, you're actually just a pretty meat sack which will eventually tear at the seems and perish...

To answer your questions:

1. When I was younger, yes... people use to tease me cause of my braces and glasses. Now, not so much.
2. I think it's appropriate if you know the woman for a while and it isn't meant in a forward or perverse manner. I personally hate it when random guys call me "sexy"... They usually either stop talking to me or apologise and back off after I respond to them...
3. Use the word beautiful more often....

This thread has been created for our fellow brothers who have 101 questions pertaining to the female species.... Yes, we can be difficult at times and often hard to read but maybe some advice and tips from us, woman, will help alleviate some frustration and clear up some confusion you may have:rolleyes:

Tips:

1. Be a gentleman.
2. There's a difference between saying what's on your mind and being down right rude.
3. Oh and....

View attachment 90933

That brought a chuckle. Our mood definitely affects our reactions.

I think this topic is deserving of its own thread :)
(Really, it is...I'll respond in it if you start one)
