i'm glad no one asks me when i'm getting married. i think those who know me well know NOT to go there lol on sunday, one of pastor's friends (older gentleman) visited, and as he was getting to know us, he asked everybody who's married and not. when i said i wasn't married, he asked, "well are you looking for a boyfriend?" noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. "cuz there's singles at my church!" -_-
I´d like to congratulate that old gentleman, may it be done by God, ´cause that´s part of the role of a PASTOR.

I can appreciate this old DC Talk tune. I praise God that His abiding love is within each of us and that we're all part of one family in Christ Jesus. None of us are ever really alone, because of His grace. ♥ :)

(The post gave you the choices of describing yourself as:
*Single.
*Taken.
*Looking for a zombie apocalypse survival partner.)

Trust me. Dating IS The Zombie Apocalypse, hands down (or falling off, if you happen to be one of the unfortunate who is bitten.)

Yeah, at weddings those old ladies used to pinch my cheek and cackle, "You're next!" They stopped doing that when I started doing the same thing to them at funerals...
I know this isn't the first time you've posted this comment somewhere in this forum, but it's still hilarious. ;)

Are they dating successfully?

I mean... how bad can that be?

I guess since I've never been fixed up with someone then I'm a bit less concerned than I should be, but what's the worst that could happen? A bad date and you run for the exit.

i guess they are. lol
Then I don't really see too much of a downside....

Then again, I'm also hesitant to say "what's the worst that could happen" because whenever I do there's always a possibility of something really strange happening.

It's not just a girl thing, although it's likely far more prevalent if you're a girl. I'm a guy and I'm often asked if I have a girlfriend or am married and/have children. No, no, no. Maybe I need to tone down the 'dad' jokes. ;)

Wow! That's really weird............people are always coming up to me and asking........."Hey, does Tintin have a girlfriend?" Well, I say, I'm sure he knows some girls that he considers friends. "Is he married or have kids?" Well, I say, I'm pretty sure he isn't married, but the "kids" part seems a bit too personal, so I haven't asked him. Australia is a big place ya know!

I have only went on one date in my life and he turned out to be not a good guy. Then the next day he gave me an ultimatum and chose against it. The best decision of my life.

I would love to court a wonderful Christian man who understands my strengths and weaknesses and likes me anyway. When we talk it would be like we don't have to try to have a deep conversation and instead it flows freely. I also desire to have a guy that I don't feel the need to wear makeup and he says that I am beautiful. For these reasons I believe a good solid dating relationship should start off being great friends because the trust would have already been developed.

I am single because I am waiting on God and when that time comes it will be perfect. I read an article that said that the reasons why people remain single is because God may be either working on you or the other person and preparing his plan for them. I dream of being married and having a family, but right now my priority is strengthening my relationship and trust in Christ and finishing my degree.
I wanted to add something to my post, but it just came to me. FYI that happens a lot to me.

I desire to play an irreplaceable role in his life.

I've seen a TEDTalk with a woman from NYC who talked about meeting a man for dinner from an online dating site. She said it was clear that they had no chemistry when they met, but they both pushed through with the dinner. He was talking and ordering all kinds of appetizers and several entrees for them to sample during the date. Toward the end, he excused himself to use the restroom....

and he never came back.

She ended up stuck paying a restaurant bill that exceeded her rent.

Now THAT is a bad date.

When I run away in the middle of a date like a frightened squirrel...

at least I pay the bill first.

I'm not dating, just lost my wife and want to be alone now. Guess the question may be, are your wishes for your future bigger than GODs supply? No............ Then girl ask for something unreachable, beyond your ability. ASK BIG. HE is faithful. Then believe by constant confession, weekly, daily, hourly. Then your faith will grow
