Question: What is it these women are experiencing, 'cause I'll guarantee you, it ain't the Holy Spirit.

And another: Does Jorge actually believe that touch has any power?

It's all disgusting, I tell you.

Well, in complete fairness, he initially told Bolivian president Evo Morales, who gave him the thing, "No está bien eso." (loosely, "That is not okay.") but Morales gave him some kind of song-and-dance about it being a replica of one carved by a Jesuit tortured by Bolivian communists in the 70s, his purpose being to foster dialogue between two ideologies (supposedly). Jorge then accepted it.

It's still B/S. He tells CNN on the flight from Cuba, "I'm not a leftist," but if he's not -- and given Argentina's history with fascism, which is so far right, it's left -- he still should have rejected it.

As the saying goes if the "hammer and sickle" fit wear it. Morales in this case was correct despite the wagging tongue. :)

HOLY CRAP....I heard the Pope do the following...praise his muslim brothers and sisters...pray for those hurt in Mecca..invoke the same language about God that they use of Allah being all merciful and say that the life of Jesus was a failure and he failed on the cross......I heard it with my own ears as translated by the translator.....Wow!

Maybe there was a translation mistake? I mean, sometimes words don't have quite the same meaning or connotation when you translate them...

Or maybe it's just me not wanting to believe there was such blatant and bold blasphemy. After all, translators are trained and should be well-versed in both languages, especially when you're translating for an occasion such as this...

Well it wasn't just that, he did not mention Jesus's name not once at congress.
A man that is supposed to be a representative of Christ surely should preach the word of God.

We can hope. Although thats one heck of a misunderstanding there. Its major.

But?

If you take everything that guy has spit out over the last few months?
Give him the benefit of the doubt?

Yeah, he probably said it.

He absolutely should, but people are so scared to offend these days. The Truth is offensive. But people wanna hold hands and sing Kumbayah, and they'll hold people's hand all the way to hell instead of telling them the hard truths.

People need Jesus!

Yes I agree. But if the POPE is afraid and pussy footing around then there is no hope that any other man should preach.
This man should have no fear if God is in him.
When someone is afraid to preach then they probably shouldn't be!
