Yeah indeed
we probably use all the same words you do for different types of
weather but all in the same day.
It can be snowing in the morning, raining in the afternoon, sunny for an hour, then
raining again, followed by howling winds, then more sun all within the same
day!
Do you want to hear a funny story, I was chatting to a taxi driver a few weeks ago
from Pakistan or maybe it was India - sorry I forget just now which it was.
He said in his country he worked at a horse stables, mostly the weather was dry but
when it rained, everyone everywhere just stop doing anything and they all go home
while it stops. The horses were also never exercised while it was raining.
So then he came to the Uk and his first job was working at a racing stable.
He worked during the week then had the weekend off. During his first
weeked it rained so he stayed at home. His friends asked if he wanted to go
out with them but he said no because it was raining and he couldn't understand
why they wanted to go out in the rain.
So the next weekend the same thing happened, then it started to rain during the
week. He rang up his manager assuming they would tell him to stay at home that
day due to the rain so he was really surprised when they said he had to go to work.
He was even more surprised to find the horses being exercised in the rain.
Eventually his friends convinced him to just get a water proof coat etc and get on with
life regardless of the weather. That he would end up spending several months of the
year holed up inside if he never went out in the rain.
Don't worry about what the staff think if you have to go home, it's easy to feel
guilty and beat yourself up about this. I know I did and still do sometimes.
Have you managed to make adjustments at home, it can feel very strange
just shopping for one and also living in a house on your own. Praying though
that this won't last long and John will soon be home.
Lord heal John, bring all of his blood work back to normal, heal any infection we pray.
Let John know that you are with him and give both John and Lynn peace of mind on
this matter.
Amen
