I am always a bit uncomfortable in discussions about teachers, because there really is only one teacher:

However, we all do some teaching and we all do some learning. The fellow I like to listen to on TV, which I’ve said a number of times on this forum, is Charles Stanley of the In Touch Ministries TV show. Also, “The In Touch Radio Network produces an online streaming station where you can listen to the sermons of Dr. Charles Stanley 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Join us any time for great biblical teaching and encouragement.” This is their website:

Home

It is not true that Jesus is the only teacher. In fact, there are many words and many occurrences of the words teacher (59 times), teaching (51 times) and "I teach" (97 times) for a total of 207 times in the New Testament. For example, none of these passages are about Jesus, but rather those who are called to teach:

"Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body." James 3:1-2

"
Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching;" Romans 12:6-7

"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, ..." Eph. 4:11-16

I can't really speak to "soundness" just yet, but a few folks I like to watch on YouTube include Paul Washer, Arnold Murray - Shepard's Chapel, Doug Bachelor, the sermons of CH Spurgeon. Like I say, I can't speak to the soundness of their doctrines or teachings, but I like to listen to what they have to say and a lot of what they say has an effect on me.

That's my 2 pennies.

*But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.*Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. - Mark 12:42-43

Random thought.,,sometimes two cents has more value because it represents giving God your all.

Try Lewis Sperry Chafer or Col. Thieme.

The ones who are not promoted in this world and are attacked by this world...............usually have it pretty close to the truth.

I'll definitely put them on my list. Thank you. I purposely avoid the windbags like John Hagee, Joel Osteen, etc. because they strike me as narcissists who are more concerned with their "mega church" being filled up like a concert than they are preaching a good message. They seem very theatrical and fake to me. Again, JMHO.

Vdp...I totally agree with you...those who WERE biblically sound that have passed on into glory....such as SMith Wigglesworth and John G. Lake....wow...their sermons, their journals and bibliographies, inspire me daily, for they used GOD's Word to the max, believing all of it with NO arguments..and look what they accomplished by letting the Holy Spirit control their lives...awesome!!
