Thank the Lord Jesus that salvation isn't performance based. :)

No you're saved because you merited it from your mighty faith even before knowing God.

Nice try, There is no merit in faith. It is the work of God that we believe, We have faith in God, who did all the work. There is no boasting in this.

I really do get what you preach. I think you might be missing your own words though. You're the one who said it before. Flip flopping really doesn't make me forget you flipped before you flopped.

Again, Jedi mind tricks don't work for me, but I'm sure you'll keep trying as in maybe if you keep repeating I'll suddenly believe you.

Keep up with all the mumbo jumbo nonsense, And I will start adding you to my report list.

[SUP]John 14:7-10
7 [/SUP]If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.”

[SUP]8 [/SUP]Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” [SUP]9 [/SUP]Jesus *said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? [SUP]10[/SUP]Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me?

Jesus IS the Son of God, therefore Jesus IS the "I AM" in the Old Testament.

We have many false Christians on this chat who want you to believe Jesus is not God. Why? Because Satan is their father, Satan is their god. They have no need of God. This is why they teach Jesus was just a human and not the Son of God like the Holy Spirit tells us.

So you are denying that Jesus was fully God and fully man? Sorry dude. but that is heretical. If that is the case why should I follow your Jesus instead of the Jesus in the Bible?

So you do not believe that Jesus is God? How about where Jesus said "when you see me you seen the Father"?

Yes, Johnlove does not believe Jesus is the Son of God. What a waste of life. How can you say you have Salvation if you deny Jesus?

John 3:16-18
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. [SUP]17 [/SUP]For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. [SUP]18 [/SUP]“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Your disbelief that Jesus is the Son of God will condemn you to the Lake of Fire for all Eternity Johnlove.

When did I ever do that?
The Man Jesus was created here on earth, and was not in heaven until after he died.

Stop trying to separate Jesus being man on earth until he died from the God part. You cannot separate them. When Jesus was on Earth he was fully God and fully man. What you are believing is not Christianity. God bless.

First of all do not insult the lost sheep. Do not call Johnlove a waste of life. He was created by God in His likeness and image but sadly is wrong in the theology that he has embraced which is not from the Bible and God but from Satan. Everything you said was correct but it is the tone you said it that was not right especially calling Johnlove a waste of life. Do not curse those who are spiritually dead, instead share the good news of Jesus to those who are perishing and love them as Jesus loved the outcasts, lepers, prostitutes, etc. Jesus died for Johnlove just as he died for you. God bless. :)

"Actually the Bible speaks of nothing else but the right Way! Sure, it didn't name him for the first half of the book, but Way has a name in the second half. His name is Jesus. He is THE Way! It's all about him. It might help to stop taking the focus of the Bible to us. It's not about our beliefs. It's about The Way -- God!"

Here is what you said and i did reread it.

But it did name him Depleted. His name was "I AM".

Sorry to be nit picking but i see so many so called Christians trying to teach false Theology.

For all those who believe the Son of God, who today is Jesus, was not active in the O.T. i will tell you, go back and read the O.T. and see what God has to say before opening up your mouth and shoving your foot inside your mouth.
Your response is about as messed up as your formatting. Enjoy thinking your always right, everyone is always wrong, and all the time the person you think is wrong was saying the same thing you said! You fit right in on this board!

Jesus resided in heaven, long before he became human and came to earth. God is Jesus, and Jesus is God. Jesus was God in human form while He was upon the earth.. And after he died, he returned to heaven, from whence he came. :)

i was reading 1 Samuel today, catching up with my 'read-through-the-Bible-in-one-year' plan, and came across this. i'm sure i've read it before, but it never sunk in before -- at least, hadn't been highlighted yet!
you better believe it's bright yellow now lol

seems pretty relevant to this thread, anyway.

For the Lord will not forsake his people, for his great name's sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself.
(1 Samuel 12:22)

if i have put my trust in God's faithfulness towards me -- not my own faithfulness, but His -- will He not, for the sake of His name, remember me?

i trust Him 100%

Is that true, then Jesus is only God, and not man. Man has to be created. God created Jesus Christ. God was his Father, and Mary his mother. Now if Jesus was not created then he can’t be man.

Jesus was man and was born here on earth, until then there was no Jesus Christ. Because Jesus was born of woman, and had as his Father God, then Jesus is God, and man.

Trust? Did Jesus say those who trust him will go to heaven with him? No Jesus said those who keep his Commandments love him, and he loves. Jesus is going to take to heaven those whom he loves.
(John 14: 23) “Anyone who loves me will keep my word and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him.”

(John 14:21) “Anybody who receives my commandments and keeps them will be one who loves me; and anybody who loves me will be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and show myself to him.”

How many people do you know that have seen Jesus? He said he would show himself to those who love him. But you said you trust him right, you did not say you love him, sorry.

Good point, How can God claim to be an all loving all merciful God, Then adopt a child into his family, because that child had faith, And allow that child who is saved to live long enough and in a way that that salvation would cease to exist, and the
child would stop being his child, but revert back to his enemy.

Not much of a loving God is it?
God doesn't adopt people who have faith. He adopts and then gifts the faith.
No, He adopts us based on our faith, he does not force us to have faith. he gives it to people who want it.
I hope you was not trying to convince me with that response.

I guess I will continue
believe God wants to have a real relationship with his people. That requires free will, and us having the ability to say yes God, I want that too.

Not because he gave us some sort of faith magic or something.
And yet, I'm the one making up a false gospel? Go figure!

Now salvation is based on our because-we-had faith AND free will.

Not much purpose in God then.

(This was your game. I merely got tired of you circling it to pretend it was mine. Feel free to report. All I did was call you on your own words. Not reportable, but you are free to report anyway. And I shall ignore this game from now on, until you try and teach another babe in Christ this false gospel of your mighty faith and free will.)

The gospel is God saves us despite the reality that we do not deserve it and out of his great love and mercy. It is his free gift to whosoever will believe (John 3:16-21)/the ones my Father has chosen. (John 6:35-40)

At this point, for anyone new to God or anyone still trying to figure it out, do not take my word for it. Nor take his word for it. Read the entire Gospel of John. Jesus really really does save us. He saves us from separation of God (because God cannot be with sinners, so God made a way), death (in that we were dead in sin, and in that when our body dies we go on to spend eternity with him in our new body), and hell. (Yes, hell is where we all deserve to be. God made a way to exempt some from that deserved punishment. His work. His alone, and yet he will give it to you because his Father has chosen you. Not of your merits. Of Jesus/God's merit.)

It's in there. Read The Gospel of John for the details.

You have an opinion, but that is all you have. Jesus Christ was born here on earth a physical human. A physical human could not have been born in heaven. Jesus’ mother was not there yet.
