Make your point using scripture not your knowledge or understanding. The word will explain it's self, Jesus is big enough. Bless you.
thank you brother, and He sure is !

Greetings JohnOne,

It is important to differentiate between the gathering of the church opposed to the Lord's return to end the age and establish his millennial kingdom, which are two separate events. The word "trumpet" is not unique to any one event, for there are different types of trumpets. That said, the event in 1 Cor.15:51-52 is referred to as the "last trumpet" while the one in Mt.24:31 is "a trumpet." And so what is happening is that you are mixing the two events of the gathering of the church with the Lord's return to the earth to end the age.

The major problem with this is that, by making 1 Cor.15:51-52 synonymous with Mt.24:30-31 is that, it would put the living church through the entire wrath of God, (seals, trumpets and bowls) which we are not appointed to suffer (1 Thes.1:10, 5:9). But I know where the trumpet of 1 Thes.4:16 and 1 Cor.15:51-52 takes place and which is where the church is gathered. Please consider the following:

"
After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this."

The event above is why we never see the word "Church" again from Rev.4 onward and that because Rev.4:1 is prophetic of the church being caught up.

Not the proper thread for explainations, opinions, views. Not intended as an offense, please read the op. and offer respect. One thread without the conjecture, what I see, you see, anyone else sees. no Offense intended. Thank you in advance for either not participating, or adding scripture and or, expressions of peace. Not a teaching thread. no need to explain

Part of this is a repeat, this is pretty cool

Job 2:4
And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea,
all that a man hath will he give
for his life
.

Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh,
and
he will curse thee to thy face.

^That^ ressembles "a temptation" in his flesh (Gal 4:14)

Job 2:6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand;
but save his life.
(then struck him with boils in 7)

This could have been the conversation with Job, Job (behold, Satan)

Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you,
that he may sift you as wheat:

Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not:
and when
thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Christ the power of God, prayed for Simon's faith

1Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith
unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

1Peter 1:6
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season,
if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

1Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold
that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory
at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

James 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job

This here ("Satan's desire" unto Simon)

Satan desired to have Simon

Always reminded me of "his desire" as expressed unto Cain

And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

1 (A Psalm of David.) Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

pilgrim, you have a gift of understanding, and discernment that radiates through your words often. I'm not in the flattery business, but I often read a lot of folks on here. the consistancy in the message you always share, your willingness to listen and consider, and then present good seed, add to, ect.....I hope you will allow the thought in that you may belong in ministry into consideration. and hope I'm not out of turn saying this to you. just feel moved often not only with the scriptures you share, but the connections and thinking you exhibit.

take it as you will sister, it is unwarranted that I say this to you, just an encouraging thought I felt was proper to suggest. God bless you and ive violated my scripture only guidline here but ....

psalm 139

"You have searched me, Lord,and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.
You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the
for darkness is as light to you.

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts,[SUP]a[/SUP] God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.

Thanks be to our God for His blessing and for you also Jasonj. Thank you for your kind words, that edifying word , that's definately you brother and is of the spirit I would receive the same in.

God be blessed. Im glad if you have received anything out of some of the ways I might come in at a thing or two. I very much enjoy making those various connections both seeking them out finding them putting them together and testing them out every which way. God has blessed me in it (as a pastime) not ministry (not so much). Most likely not in my cards, I dont get around too well most the time, but I am thankful to God for the scriptures really, they are truly just like this big beautiful puzzle, I love them (and moreso after that approach)

Thanks for your kind post Jasonj

Our God and Father richly bless you in Christ Jesus our Lord, Peace unto you

Thank you. This is a really good thread that you started. I think it's awesome to just post the word of God and not argue over it. This word of God is the light. In it is all things that we need such as strength, encouragement, and understanding. It is nice to see Christians getting along and sharing the Word of God. God bless you and everyone here.

Isaiah 58: 8-12
8. Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
10And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
11And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
12And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

Hebrews 10:31-39
31 It is
a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
33Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
34For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

john 15:12-17 my command is this: Love each other AS I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: Love each other.

1 john 3:16-24 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. just before the cross...john 15:9-11 " As the Father has Loved me, so I have Loved you. Now remain in my Love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my Love. just as I have obeyed my Father and remain in His Love. I have told you this SO that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete"

Just after the cross

matthew 28:18-20 "Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

1 john 5:3 " in fact, this is Love for God : to keep His commands and His commands are not burdensome"
