When God says, "These are MY Feasts (appointed times), and you say it is "jewish law", then tell me, who has been tricked?
You, because you dont understand the meaning of these ancient feasts. They were a preparation for Christ. Read the New Testament.

Most Christians [shouldn't] need a once a year feast [easter or christmas] to remember these things. But if it helps float your boat then by all means, proceed.
Does Christmas and Easter upset you?

Christmas and Easter are both pagan to the core. You can put a Christian spin on it if you want to. Bunny rabbits that lay eggs. I wonder if that could be a link the pagan fertility goddess Ishtar?

[FONT=&]Matthew 5:17-19
[/FONT]
[FONT=&]“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.[/FONT][FONT=&]18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.[/FONT][FONT=&]19 Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."[/FONT]
Context, context....

1. "...not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished."

2. "When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. (John 19:30)

3. "So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian." (Gal 3:25)

4. Do we miss anything because of that? No: For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Gal 5:14)

You have freezed in time by the point number one. But Christianity continuted with other letters and revelations.

Did you ever notice the joy that is in the environment around us coming up to Christmas where we are celebrating the birth of our Lord? Everyone is happy and joyful - giving to each other. Doing acts of kindness.

This was foretold by Luke when the angles spoke of this. This does not act like something pagan. The scriptures did give the exact day He was born but we can see the manifestation of what He did when He came to save us.

Luke 2:10-11 (NASB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;

[SUP]11 [/SUP] for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

The two great commandments. If you love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself, then yes, you will be fulfilling all the commandments. If I love God, and He says "These are My holy days", I think I will honor His holy days rather than pagan lies.

Christmas? Easter? These are not of God.
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, "Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, These are the appointed feasts of the LORD that you shall proclaim as holy convocations; they are my appointed feasts. Leviticus 23:1-2 (ESV2011)

It seems like we were tricked on many things.
I thought it was common knowledge that Christmas and Easter weren't "accurate dates"...

The pagans want to join in on the celebration too.

They don't want to be left out.

They just don't want to include the Lord Jesus Christ. That's the difference with Christians. We do include the Lord Jesus Christ in our celebration of Christmas and Easter. But obviously we don't force everyone to.

Jesus came to FULFILL the Law!

We cannot keep the Law. This Jesus proved over and over again.

Have you KohenMatt or disciplemike keep the WHOLE Law??

NO you have not!

James 2:10
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

Can you keep the whole Law? No you cannot. Your attitude towards your Brothers in Christ proves you have broken the Laws, that even you cannot keep the whole Law.

Therefore since you have shown no Mercy to your Brothers in Christ God will also show you NO Mercy!

James 2:13
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.

Just do a little research on "December 25th". Pagans were holding this date as a holy date long before your jesus came. Look it up. It is free.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.

Do you think the Lord Jesus Christ will be mad at me for celebrating His Birthday on a day when pagans celebrate something too?

Do you think He will be mad that I give presents to people on that day?

You dont understand the flow of time.

God also said to Noah - build the ark. You (I hope) understand, that this command is not for you.

God said something to Moses. It is not for you in the 21st century. New Testament is.

God telling Noah to build the ark is not the same as God saying, "These are My feasts (appointed times)". For you to imply that is grasping at straws. (weak).

Exactly what do you mean "your Jesus" disciplemike? Could it be you are teaching a different Jesus then the one in the Scriptures?
