so, "If your claim"
Speaks to all the 12 tribes, I did not know they all claimed to have faith, but had ZERO works.
SO james saying if a person has zero works, zero zip nada. That that persons faith is dead, in response to his own question, of can that persons faith save him (speaking of eternal salvation)
And you want me to think it means he spoke to all Israel. concerning how it prophets a fellow jew and how to take care of each other?
I am not seeing the connection., Salvation does not equal serving others, And he said plainly, If one has no work, Zero Zip Nada Work.. So again, the context your trying to portray does not fit..
so as long as I have one work, I am ok, I have helped my fellow countryman, and I am saved?? What? Where does the "If you believe there is one god (part of the gospel) you do well, even demons believe" come in??
I would offer first and foremost that we cannot have the faith generated from or of God ;( Christ’s faith) towards men in respect to men .This is in respect to Tribes as those sent with the word of God (prophecy) , or the word Apostle as those sent with an authority not of
their own selves.. That would in the end I believe would blaspheme the name Christ as that in which we are called by heavenward.
Christians have the authority of God i
n them but it can never be assumed it is
of them.
2Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
We have to be careful not to repeat what some of the Jews did in as much as turning things upside down when it comes to the word “faith”. It is the key in any generation that the gates of hell could never prevail against.
They who had a false zeal, thought the faith to believe God was of their own self , as a work they offered toward God, (dead faith) seeing faith without works is dead. And not as it really is; the spiritual work of Christ's faith working in them .
They offered their own faith coming from the imaginations of their own hard hearts in a hope toward God. Upside down again as if it , the law of the fathers as doctrines of men came from that formed the creature , and not His work that provided His own understanding as He forms Christ in us..
Isaiah 29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for “shall the work” say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the “thing framed” say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
Our faith, the gift of God that we offer “toward God” is considered dead seeing it cannot perform the anointing work which the Holy Spirit of Christ can.
It’s the theme of Hebrews six.
Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from “dead works”, and of faith “toward God”,Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit. Heb 6:3
With that said. I would ask can we have the kind of faith (two kinds) that comes from Christ the anointing Holy Spirit, as the hearing of faith spoken of in Galatians 3:1-5 as that which gives us ears to hear the Spirit ....in respect to Abraham’s personal faith towards God or in respect to the faith of Christ coming from God, as to His labor of love. Seeing He alone is the author and finisher of our faith that he has freely given to us as His work by which can believe Him who has no form.?
Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? James 2:21
And if so "whose faith"..........ours towards Him or His towards us? Whose works, that of Abraham after his flesh or Christ working in him to both will and do our God’s good pleasure ?
Did Abraham's work of believing God make the work of faith complete in that parable of him and Issac? Or is it attributed to just "one" as the justifier of our faith we then can have toward Him?
Romans 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Seest thou how faith wrought (worked)
with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? Jam 2:22
By whose works was faith made complete seeing without works faith in dead?
