and yet the Old Testament speaks of the anger of God and not just the anger, but also the wrath of God

how do you see anger in light of that fact?

surely you must also know that God was very angry at the way the priests misused their office

perhaps anger is not just human? does the Old Testament say that anger is a sin?
depends what your getting angry for i suppose..and what you do when you are angry

You are using the English version many time i find the translation to be wrong. in Hebrew it says young woman, the assumption is that she was a virgin but she would give birth just like all of humanity. BTW sex is not a sin.

“surely you must also know that God was very angry at the way the priests misused their office”

Sex outside of marriage is called fornication or adultery, both sins.

God destroyed the Roman empire, what is your point?

You have to believe that he came back to life, i don't. the prophets predicted the cumming of the messiah but Jesus isn't the messiah.

Yeah we know what you don't believe. Tell us what you believe...

What do the prophets say of the coming Messiah?

Hi Baruch,

Can you answer a few questions?

Do you have the faith of Abraham?
Is the Tanakh written by inspiration from God?
Do you revere all of the Tanakh and not just the Torah?
Are you a rabbinic Jew, conservative, orthodox, hasidic or what?
Do you look forward to the Messiah.
What do you believe the Ttanahk says about Messiah?

Thanks!

would you like to answer the question I asked you?

I was referring to your comment that anger is a sin, in which you said Jesus sinned by being angry

Would you like to comment on that please?

That, is the question I was asking. That had nothing to do with Romans because the scripture I refer to was written when the Roman empire was just a camp.

If he were he would have been saying "G-d" and not "god" :p
That is why I said in a early post of mine that I am familiar with Jews and that he seemed a bit different. I still don't quite have a handle on him. But I do believe he has a firmly entrenched middle eastern mentality.

GOD wanted a relationship with man but GOD will not associate with sin so then GOD made a way for man to have a relationship with HIM by coming to earth In the flesh and fulfilling HIS perfect standard of righteousness as a man, having mercy on man after man had already broken the law and taking mans place for breaking the law, satisfying the demand of the law. This had to be done or It wouldn't be right.

Hebrews 1:5-8

King James Version(KJV)

5.)For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

6.)And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

7.)And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

8.)But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Do you have the faith of Abraham?
I am Jewish I am not sure it’s answer your question. Don’t forget that Abraham talked to god therefore his “faith” isn’t questionable.
Is the Tanakh written by inspiration from God?
Yes, inspiration and study
Do you revere all of the Tanakh and not just the Torah?
Yes
Are you a rabbinic Jew, conservative, orthodox, hasidic or what?
Just a Jew, you don’t get to frame me.
Do you look forward to the Messiah
Not my concern, when he’ll come we’ll all be happy.
What do you believe the Ttanahk says about Messiah?
Peace on earth

Anger in itself is not a sin but depend on your action.
Jesus acted by using a whip at the temple interrupting the Passover celebration commanded by god.
He also curse a fig tree because it did gave fruit; it was the wrong seasons and it is god’s creation.

Well now but you did call anger a sin to begin with, so I am glad you thought about it. Anger is not a sin as the Bible does not actually call it a sin.

Now let's look at curses.

You must be aware of the consequences of actions God is displeased with and that He calls sin?

Guess what? There is a lengthy list of curses people could expect would fall upon them for disobedience.

They are in the Old Testament.

There is a reason Jesus cursed the fig tree. The fig tree had no fruit. We could really go into detail about that, but notice that God handed out curses, including death, to people.

Surely people are worth more than a fig tree? So perhaps we need to look for a principal that applies rather than judge on the mere appearance of something.

As far as Jesus cleaning the temple it was prophecy. Telling that his anger was what was sin......bull hockey...God's anger was kindled many times in the o.t.
I have many Jewish friends that do produce scripture to prove there point.
Baruch your in a hornets nest my friend...time to stop swatting and start running. I say your not Jewish and if you are then you do not practice .....you just have a boring Sunday on your hands. These saints here have more patience than I . Want to learn about jesus..great praise God. Want to throw mud in our saviors face hit the road.

Why dio Christians belive that Jesus had to die?
He said so repeatedly why He had to die.

Matthew 20:28Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Matthew 16:[SUP]21 [/SUP]From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
