The above makes no sense. I don't even know what you are attempting to say.

It's quite simple. If a one remains in faith, then the promises of forgiveness and eternal life are valid. If one does not remain in faith, then they have wandered away from the truth. One is not saved regardless of what one does! If one goes back to living according to the sinful nature and dies in that state, then they will have died in there sins.

Did you bother reading any of the scriptures that I provided? They're self explanatory. If a believer doesn't remain in Christ, then that person cannot bear fruit. If they continue to not remain in Christ, then in that state that cannot bear fruit and that because they are living according to the sinful nature. So, when the Lord comes to gather his church, those people who have not remained in him will not be gathered. Just read the scriptures that I provided. they're self explanatory.

Paul was saved at the cross, not because of anything he did.

Let me ask you where you saved on the cross at Calvary or were you saved at some later date that depended on your own works as if you needed to be born years later and do something to "get saved"? Are you saved by your own works or had you already been saved at the cross by the work of the Lord and then many years later when you were born then you grew up and pondered it and realized he had saved you at the cross many years ago?

Paul was saved by having faith, just as every believer is, which is what I have been talking about. It is through the grace of God through faith in Christ that we are saved. It requires continuing in faith on our part. Faith is not works. It is our response to God's in-birthing of faith regarding the revelation of his son and our belief in him that saves us.

If you remain in Christ, then you are having faith and you have nothing to worry about. If you don't remain in him, then you are no longer having faith and you cannot bear fruit.

What does your question have to do with the need to remain in faith in order to receive salvation?

There’s a huge difference between someone asking you "have you been saved yet?" as if you had some part to do in it's work and someone asking you if you know that the Lord has saved you. One is saying outright that he doesn’t believe the Lord saved you at the cross and is insinuating that he in fact is here to act as your saviour by saving you because he believes the Lord has not. The other is pointing out that the Lord is the one who saved you on the cross and asking you if you believed it.

The individual's part is that, he believes that Christ shed his blood for that individual. If that person remains in that faith, they are saved. If they turn away from Christ and go back into living according to the sinful nature, then they need to repent and return to the Lord. While they are in that wandered state, they are accumulating sin and are on their way to death until they repent and return to Christ. It has nothing to do with works!

Salvation is not probation. Eternal life is not temporary life. Jesus is the door. He is not a revolving door.
Salvation is not the same as being saved,, Salvation = eternal life with Gods family. Saved = the start of your walk.

What would be the point of putting on your helmet of hope for salvation ? if saved and salvation was the same ?.
Plus the fact where is the hope for a saviour if your salvation is allready declared. ?

Verb tense proves those who say you can lose it to be in error...My salvation is based upon Jesus, his work, his faith and he will finish what he started....

Some of the views in this thread have really opened my eyes as to why some miss the truth about the end....their false gospel of losing salvation equates to no real saving faith -->no real saving faith = no ability to understand the rest of the word!

yeah I know.........d-controversial for a reason!

Jesus inspired the context pal.......and because people reject context we have every flavor of falsehood that can be found under the sun....Paul even speaks to this in Romans and other books....

IF it is of grace it cannot be of works and if of works then it is no longer grace....wake up and have some tea so you can open your eyes HAHAHHAHAHHAHAH ;)

It's been said before that we are not saved on the installment plan like a mortgage.
