Just fyi, all of the promises made to within each church are to be applied to the other churches for those who overcome. In other words, the promises to the Ephesian church is also to the Philadelphia and vise versa and the with all of the churches. For example, the literal church of Philadelphia is dead and gone. But these seven churches represent types of churches that can be found throughout the entire church period.
The promise within the Philadelphia church to keep us "out of" that time of trial, which is speaking about the time of God's wrath, is then to the church existing in the last generation just before the Lord appears to gather the church.
The word "ek" is translated as "out of" i.e. for those who endure patiently and overcome, the Lord will keep them "out of" that hour of trial.

the two witnesses abilities to cause fire to come out of their mouths to destroy their enemies All this prior to their finishing their testimony and being killed, signifies the rejection of GOD’s WORD. Their being killed signifies the end of GOD’s long suffering grace to those who continually do reject these heavenly witnesses testimony
I would not go as far as to say that anyone could hurt Moses or Elijah up in heaven who have already immortality. How then could they be slain and their bodies lie exposed for three and half prophetic days or three and half years? In their glorified immortal state they would not be subjected to death.

It is symbolic of G-d's promise to save the best of His congregation (rapture) in the end times....by keeping them from the hour which shall come upon all the earth (tribulation).
He qualifies the group with that standing. ( remember He said we could move a mountain if we had the faith of a mustard seed....symbolic that we would not ever gain much faith..no matter how hard we committed and tried). The Philadelphia ...church had a little faith. Clearly concluding that the others had none.

Where in scripture does it say the two witnesses die physically? Why would it say that they die physically when the scripture says it is a metaphor? Once again........
The CONTEXT is a spiritual metaphor.......
Revelation 11
8, And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which SPIRITUALLY is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
Jesus did not die in Egypt or Soddom...
The two great witnesses are the OLD and NEW TESTAMENT scriptures. Those proclaiming them have the TESTIMONY of JESUS which God's Word says is the SPIRIT of PROPHECY (Rev 19:10)
This testimony of the WORD of God from the two Witnesses (Daniel and Revelations) will be rejected by those who it is sent (the World; Rev 14:6-12) and those who proclaim this message and it WORDS will be rejected and some put to death by the Beasts of Revelations 13 who have power to kill those who do not follow it over God's Word (Rev 13:5).
7And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 8And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

This was already explained earlier. Those who proclaim their message will be killed by the beasts of Revalations 13 which has pawer to put them to death.
Revelation 13
15, And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
No one will BELIEVE the OLD AND NEW TESTAMEMENT Witnesses of DANIEL (OLD) and JOHN REVELATIONS (NEW) Together they make up the TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST THAT GOD'S SAINT PROCLAIM that the DRAGON is making WAR with. They have the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. That is God's people understand the END DAY EVENT of the TESTIMONY of JESUS given to Daniel and John.

God's WORD says the TESTIMONY of JESUS is the SPIRIT of PROPHECY; GOD'S PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THE PROPHECIES.......

Here is the scripture:
"When the two witnesses have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the abyss will wage war with them, and will overpower and kill them. Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city—figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where their Lord was also crucified. For three and a half days all peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will view their bodies and will not permit them to be laid in a tomb. And those who dwell on the earth will gloat over them, and will celebrate and send one another gifts, because these two prophets had tormented them.
But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered the two witnesses, and they stood on their feet, and great fear came over those who saw them. And the witnesses heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud as their enemies watched them.
As you can see, there is nothing in the context that would infer the death of the two witnesses as being a metaphor. They will be prophesying during the first 3 1/2 years and towards the end of their time of prophecy, that beast will be let out of the Abyss at the sounding of the 5th trumpet and is when he will literally kill the two witnesses. Their bodies will be left in the streets of Jerusalem, not allowing them to be buried. And just as the scripture states, after 3 1/2 days, they will stand up on their feet (resurrect) and will be called up to heaven while the world watches them go.
The reference to "Spiritually is called" is referring to Jerusalem being referred to figuratively as Sodom and Egypt and not the deaths of the two witnesses. Their deaths will literally take place at the hand of the beast, which will be followed by their resurrection. Everything regarding the two witnesses will take place literally just as it is written.
