A very long time ago when I was still a teenager, I learned a very important lesson on how to know the Truth about anybody.
I will love to share it with you all.
When I was a teenager many people were being accused of wrong doings around where I lived and also among my relatives and friends. This touched me a lot and I was worried. But I remembered that I was taught in Sunday School and in Church that GOD always answer His Children. So in such situations I went to the LORD to find out the truth about these people whether what they were accused of was true or false; and the LORD answered me. When the LORD answered me, I will tell my siblings about it and how the LORD answered me. This made me to talk to the LORD about anything without fear when I was still a teenager.
So, I always tell people that if you want to know whether someone is a True Pastor or Prophet or Bishop etc simply go to GOD as ask HIM and HE will show you.
Today many people are afraid to talk to GOD including some Christians.
For it is written, "GOD knows all those who are His."
Do not be deceived by the crowd or popularity of someone or their style of talking or the way they write or the many books or articles they have written or their dressing. All these does not make anyone a Child of GOD. Always be very careful the way you talk about Men/Women of GOD.
So my dear beloved brothers and sisters, if you want to know anything about anyone, talk to the LORD.
Thanks be to GOD ALMIGHTY our FAITHFUL FATHER. As we grow in the grace and knowledge of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, We can identify them by their fruits. Glory to GOD for given us the Holy Spirit who leads us into all the Truth.
Hi GOP, I agree., it makes no sense to think we know what others are thinking. When we were growing up., our family was always getting into major fights and arguments because some in the family believed they had the ability to..... read minds. Our words were re spoken and reassigned a different meaning that we didn't mean or say or even imply. Misinterpretations galore and hurt feelings to follow based on things not meant or said only interpreted falsely. What a waste of many years of family problems and emotional trauma.
Today I see the insanity of it especially in politics here in the United States and different articles written and people mis represented. It's CRAZY. Watching the main stream news media here in the U.S. is also a study in futility. Today I watch more of FoxNews which is a more conservative news program. I also get most of the other news from on line. Fake news is what we call it here the main stream liberal media outlets like CNN., NBC., CNBC., ABC.., NBC.., and even the BBC.
This thread was started based on my experience of watching the elections here in the U.S. and how far politics and people will go to not hear the truth about someone or something. Many people will instead believe the things that they have heard over the years or by people they already agree with.
I asked people here who don't know Joel Osteen personally (none of us do) to listen to a book review by an unbiased reader. Many refused to listen to the short video and instead kept their hard and fast opinions on the subject of the book regardless of the fact many never read it. Despite my many years of hearing about Joel O. and thinking I knew a lot., I came away from hearing the book review with an appreciation of what it means to really listen to the facts and learn how to separate the facts from the feelings., opinions and harsh biases of others. Especially in the Christian community.
