I am not the one that makes me perfect, it is GOD and His officebearers.... Look at Eph 4:11 to 13... God appoints these people to perfect the SAINTS.... Saint is already without sin, ANY SIN! Saint in the book of God not to our judgement, to GOD's...If God declares a person a saint, do you think there is still sin in that person? That would make God a lier. But then the SAINTS are not perfect yet..... God sends people (perfect people) Holy Spirit filled people, to PERFECT THE SAINTS...

To the same fulness of Christ Jesus.... Does He do this...WELL YES....UNTO A PERFECT MAN... Whose words is this MINE OR GOD'S... who declares this a perfect man, the man or GOD? GOD DOES!


There is only one thing wrong in your testemony, Even if you are perfect, you will not pray what you want too, but what GOD wants you too. Why? Because you are not the DRIVE in you no more... The Holy Spirit is. And HE KNOWS WHAT TO PRAY!

I ask this.... And only this.... Jesus taught me to pray this.... Father, LET THOU WILL BE DONE IN ME AS IT IS DONE IN HEAVEN.... And that should be enough said....

However, by being self taught Cobus denies the Holy Spirit lives in him the Holy Spirit Paul says MUST dwell in us if we are in Christ, that is no small error. I would have thought the only thing to advise a person is then to join a church and put themselves under the teaching of that church and accept thererefore the truth

yes Cfultz, you are right, no one is infallible, do you therefore believe no one should go to church, or the minister should not preach a sermon because he may get it wrong, he's not infallible, so all Christians who are infallible should teach themselves, and believe the Holy Spirit is doing the teaching, is that right?

Let us take verse for verse....

Verse 5....I ask this of verse 5... Can I mind BOTH? Can I mind things of the flesh and the Spirit? NO! So here God shows the two groups, some will always sin but others have another destiny, RIGHT HERE ON EARTH!

Verse 6..... Ok so to be fleshly (carnally minded) (SIN?) is death. But to be spiritually minded (thinking and believing perfection, NO SIN, REPNTANCE?) is life and peace....

Verse 7.... Sin is enmity against God. TRUE (Remember you cannot serve God and Mammon) And sin is transgression of the law. SIN CANNOT KEEP THE LAW!

Verse 8.... So then they that sin CANNOT PLEASE GOD! This means God has to REMOVE YOU FROM THE FLESH!!!!! And does He do it..... Well the Bible says YES HE DOES!

I find it absolutely GODLY how accurate the Bible is on the behaviour and spirits of people. I am every-day surprised on how the Word of God plays out in fromt of me, IN ME, and ON ME!

I need no man, NO MAN, to teach me even one little thing. God wants to teach me ALL things. Listen to what I say.... ALL THINGS. So I would not deny God a single lesson. And i would not give SATAN a single chance to influence me in the NEGATIVE way. And we all know Satan cannot be possitive.

I see SIN FLESH AND SATAN as negative... Dark things for Dark Rooms... And I see GOD, HOLY SPIRIT, PERFECTION IN CHRSIT, and TRUTH as Possitive.... There are many self taught people in this world. On another website, one man openly admitted he believed he knew more than did Peter, James, John and Paul when they walked this earth, he was self taught.

However, the plain scripture stands against you on this issue. Now we can all reason and turn to scripture and theologise/reason to support our view, but when the result brings us into contradiction of plain text we must be wrong, or scripture is wrong

Because according to Paul, if the Spirit is not in you, you do not belong to Christ, and therefore if you died today, and you are right, you are condemned.
As I say, the bible is a big book, you can bring forth as much scripture and reason with it as you would, but in the end you are still contradicting the plain words of Paul, and every other minister I have heard speak on this subject

In all honesty in the past when i heard people say they were born again i found it strange and did not understand this saying.

Only when i was set free did i know what they meant, i feel New i feel loved i feel free to serve Heavenly Father in Spirit and Truth. We Abide here Faithfully and are very aware that our Spirit reside in the mortal body.

The before and after is evidence that we have been Baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Our Conscience is Truly purged, myself in times past would "lie" for a good cause or even to "protect" now i know that one should tell the Truth or hold their peace. For the Almighty knows all things.

i'm pushed each and every day praying and considering Heavenly Father in all things... before the me,me,me factor would be considered in all things....

Conviction would inform you to look to Him to keep from arriving at that place again, but instead, you are still trying to do the best you can to not sin, right? Are you not still setting yourself up to fail again and again and again?

When facing any sin, we go to Jesus with it and ask for forgiveness and for help not to do it again as in lead us not into temptation and deliever us from the evil one for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

Otherwise, how can you escape pride again if you are the one doing the best you can not to sin?



That reference to Jesus's water baptism is hardly applicable for believers in testing the spirits. To do so would make void testing any spirits then. So read this again.

1 John 4:1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.....

This warning means it can happen to any believer. Now here is that line drawn in the sand.

John 4:[SUP]3 [/SUP]And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

If you erase that line, then no one can test the spirits. John was NOT wasting his time writing this warning and instructions on how to test the spirits because the real indwelling Holy Spirit dwells within us as opposing the spirit of the antichrist that is outside of us as being in the world.

Why would the Holy Spirit need to fill the room to talk to you when He is already within you? I am not saying that He is not in you. I am saying that scripture places the spirit of the antichrist as being outside of you.

Jesus even said how we will know the Holy Spirit personally and that is by dwelling within us.

We can only reprove by the scriptures, but I realize that only God can cause the increase.

I really wish people would read the words I wrote before jumping in to correct. I said "AS A YOUNG CHRISTIAN"...I was 17 when I got saved, I was young...Im 46 now! Do you not think that experience I had with God changed my thinking and stopped my striving trying to do it in my own strength? I was sharing a testimony of how I learnt......yet even sharing testimony's on CC seems to bring out the judgemental attitude in people. Satan maybe in the world but he is not welcome in my house! And if the Lord chose to fill my home with His presence the same way He filled the Holy of Holies with His presence than man should not set limits on Him. The Holy Spirit is IN ME and if also wishes to also surround me with His awesome presence too then I am not complaining. God is the same God yesterday, today and forever and that veil is torn in two.

Yes you are correct that we can reprove by scriptures and here is one that I love:

Job 19:4
"if it is true that I have gone astray my error remains my concern alone"

I was brought up in a church that led me to believe when you were 'Baptised/filled with the Spirit' it would be similar to a ten ton truck hitting you, you'd almost be knocked off your feet. And so, when people would pray with me, i braced myself for this to happen, it never did
But I did get filled, and it was nothing like that for me, as it has not been for many others. Just because it may happen that way for some, does not mean it will for all. I think that maybe why some either do not get filled, or refuse to stand on faith and believe they have been, then they would see the evidence.

Let me tell you what the problem is if you BELIEVE the Truth. VERY FEW people speak it! And it is almost a full time job reproofing. It is only here and there and VERY far between that you find a person that stays in the Word of God with what they teach.

Twofeet God warns about "young" Christians... But that is not age, it is the time in FAITH... In 1 Timothy 3. Read it my friend, it makes a GOOD study.... The roles of men in the church.... And of women and how they CONFESS Christ in their lives... Read 1 Timothy 3 ...actually the whole 1 timothy is fun to study, and it shows how far we strayed from God's will, EVEN IN THE CHURCH or what people concider as church. And Mark advice me to go to them for "teachings" WOW! I cannot, I used to be there until God shoed me their heart and spirit.... IT WAS BAD.

Yep Loveme, I expect a BANG, I expect the ground to be shaken as it did before when people were filled with the Holy Spirit. When God made them ALL ONE WITH HIM... This is what I expect, and am I stupid to expect this,,,,,? And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness(Cobus)



While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The Holy Spirit was poured out upon the above people AS it was on the Apostles at the day of Pentecost Cobus. So the Spirit entered their lives, yes?

They had only just heard the message. Did they instantly become perfect in the flesh?
Did they instantly reach glorification?

So Cornelius and his family had gone through complete sanctification, reached glorification, and were perfect in the flesh, BEFORE they heard the Gospel of Christ?

No they reached perfection the MOMENT GOD MADE them perfect by REBIRTH FROM GOD... Rebirth from God, Baptism of Holy Spirit and filling of Holy Spirit is all ONE EVENT right through the Bible.

Cornelius believed in God, and He was a Godfearing man. In the Old testament it useually meant the man OBEYED God and not Satan. God said, he would write His laws on the hearts of whom He pleases, I guess Cornelius did not have ANY SIN to repent from, so he only needed to be BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, and that happened when God sent the Apostle Peter to do that... What BAFFLES my mind was that the Jews now wanted to baptize the man in water... WOW! Jesus NEVER baptized with Water. Anyway that is another discussion, and one that links to the argument Paul and Peter had, later.

My friend some people have a lot of sin to REPENT from others have 1 or two, and some might even stopped way before they even heard the Name Jesus Christ. By the work of the Holy Spirit.... God said the Holy Spirit wold reproof the WORLD.. not the righteouss, the WORLD (sinners) of sin. And He does, whether they know Jesus or not, the Holy Spirit will do what HE was sent to do... But that is not all He reproof or convince of.. Also of righteousness and judgement... It is a powerful reproofing for some, and for others they just dismiss that work of God. Obviously Cornelius did not dismiss it.

Remember ALL righteousness and GOOD come from god, So God was at work with Cornelius LONG before he heard the NAme that will SET HIM FREE... And when He heard the name, HE WAS IN 100% Faith, because it is SO ALIKE THE GOD HE WORSHIPPED.

Mark Cornelius was a few steps ahead of me. And I find I am catching up on the person Cornelius was. My house is a LOT cleaner, and a lot more God-fearing than it was 15 years ago. Why? God is at work.... Just like in Cornelius and his home. I ask you this... How strong was the faith of Cornelius in God, that God would send an angel to give hi the good news? If there was a scale what would the faith of Cornelius be (the obedience to God's Spirit as the teacher). Out of 10, Iwould give cornelius 9, the other one point is the perfecting of the saint Cornelius... When God makes Cornelius holy and perfect with HIS OWN SPIRIT.

The other nine points was the following righteousness as the Holy Spirit LEAD Cornelius in Faith. Faith is ALSO the gift of God, Fear of God is ASLO a gift from God... So God gave cornelius 9/10 points already to be a TRULY GODLY MAN!

I hope yo also see it this way. There are MANY scriptures that confirms this, both in the New and Old Testament.

Isaiah 14:13,14 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Count the I's in Paragraph 2. Now compare them to the verses in Isaiah 14. Is there some similarity?
