Respectfully, is there really any point in continuing this thread? Is anyone benefiting from anything said here? I am not being critical, just asking a question.

1 John 4:6) We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 .) Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 .) He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 .) In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 .) Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 .) Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 .) No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

YIG:
To paraphrase the gentleman who shared the Gospel with me that led to my coming to Christ:

"Jon, religion is like your genitals. You've got them, and you're proud of them, but don't go waving them around in everybody's face." I found that to be very wise advice. So, I don't quote Scripture. On these forums, just typing an innocuous emoticon opens you up to attack like a three-legged cat in a room full of coon hounds. Quoting Scripture? From what translation of the Bible!!!!! FIGHT!!!! LOL

4. I don't throw Bible verses around. Never have, never will. If I want to know what the Bible says, I will read it. If I can make my own point without needing to resort to shoving Scripture in your face, then I will make my own point. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

1. I don't have hate for any group. In order to hate something, you first have to love it. I don't love anything. Therefore, I don't hate anything. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

(my thoughts)

I have to wonder what the Apostle John would say about this SO VERY FUNNY stuff? No, wait, I don’t have to……..he wrote an entire letter about such as this……….

Now that right there is funny, I don’t care who you are

No, but the many examples of "biting humor" are so very enjoyable to read........... :)

I mean, whadda expect? People to post stuff that actually "edifies" the Church? Where is the humor in that?

(posted in biting humor)

Hmm............I may use this as my new "signature tag"

p_rehbein, only God knows your motive for defending your sarcasm so vehemently by trying to humiliate others and hiding behind the cloak of "edifying the church." People are the church, p_rehbein. If you want to edify God's people, you need to be humble and honest about your own weakness of the flesh. So long as you contend that your flesh smells better than other people's flesh, you're in the flesh. Ask God for wisdom. He's faithful to give it. :)

This is a funny development - let's make a mountain out of a molehill about my statement of "I don't love anything".

Okay.

Two choices available here:

1. Person does some Internet searching and discovers that a large percentage of people with Asperger's Syndrome have extreme difficulty with emotions, both in the categorization of them and in the verbalization or expression of them.

OR

2. Some long-term member goes on a witch hunt. Go get a rock and a duck, and let's all go down to the river and test me for witchcraft and BURN THE WITCH.

Choice #1 is what a rational person does. Choice #2 is more "fun". I get it.

LOL

I've requested my account be deleted. This place is more stressful than it is joyful. I have enough stress in my life being maid and cook, and errand boy and hiney wiper to my Dad day-in, day-out. This place and many of the members just exceed my quota for tolerance. It's not 100% your fault, but it's also not 100% mine either. Go back to your cat-fights and mud-slinging. I won't bother your fun any longer.
Sad you have so much going on in your life. Had a user here months ago with issues similar to yours...went by the nickname lost sheep. Too bad he didn't stick around.

To funny. I usually get a laugh or two on this site.
God gave Christians great humor.
That is a good joke. I also like "Why is divorce so expensive? Because it's worth it."

Surprise! I am LostSheep, or at least I was before I left the last time. I guess coming back here just shows I am a "slow learner". That tracks though. I was married twice before I learned my lesson.

I don't have Asperger's but I do have PTSD and anxiety from extreme abuse by militantly religious foster parents. They tortured my siblings and me for exhibiting any signs of "free will" ~ that is, anything that they decided wasn't good enough... which was almost everything: doing chores wrong, chewing food wrong, breathing wrong, standing wrong, speaking wrong, etc. We were punished every day and they broke our spirits till we became like robots.

I was in trauma therapy for many years and still see a counselor to this day because of the immense grief I endure when I witness people being abused (on the news, in public places, on this site, etc.) I don't worry so much when people attack me. I consider the source and smh. But when I see them going after others relentlessly and even justifying their bullying, it literally makes me sick with grief. I cry so hard about it because it breaks my heart. I don't understand how people can be so ugly and cruel and without mercy.

Anyway, I'm sorry it happened to you, my friend. I know God is still God and is in control of everything and will take care of us all. I just want you to know that I never saw any fault in you because you were honest about yourself and didn't put on airs or puff yourself up. I find people like you easy to be around.

I'm cutting outta this thread now. I can't take it anymore. The Lord's will be done.

God has taken us all so far. When Jesus said the poor in spirit He meant a lot of us. I am blessed for the experiences that put me on my knees and made me appreciate Him so much.
We really all need to sometimes slow down and take it easy on each other.
I am no exception. I have apologized to some people here because of my impetuousness.

Some people here rub me the wrong way. I don't know why. It's probably partly a clash of personalities and partly my own woundings from life. That said, I have friends here on both sides of the fence. Which makes it rather awkward, but also good, in the sense that if you join the mob with one side, you're fighting against your friends. Which is stupid. So I don't do it.

I have to be completely honest here and say...... IF ANYONE.....laughed at the Original Post.......then, their sense of humor is................well...........

I don't know this person very well. and haven't read many of his Posts...........however, I do believe I was honest and fair with my first Post concerning his OP........There was so very much there that I could have gone off on, but as he shielded his comments behind the veil of "biting humor," I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and restrained myself to a couple of the statements that I disagreed with, regardless if it was "biting humor/tongue in cheek sarcasm" or whatever.

In my opinion, and I love sarcastic wit, and even tongue in cheek humor, and apply it liberally across the Forums from time to time, but, in my opinion, the OP was well beyond anything resembling comments one would expect from a believer in and follower of Jesus Christ.

Some lines we just don't cross.........even when we are doing so with sarcastic wit or tongue in cheek humor.......

If anyone cares to understand why I believe this, I strongly suggest they read the First Epistle of the Apostle John....here is a short excerpt that one can read and then compare to the statement made in the OP:

12
.) No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Sarcastic wit and tongue in cheek humor certainly have their place and can be enlightening as well as entertaining.......but, there IS a line......

Three things happened on this thread:
1. Some questioned/disagreed with him.
2. Some attacked or tried to comform him.
3. Some stuck up for him.

You went with #1. Not a problem. Rather expected, since he did write a bunch of things that could rub everyone the wrong way.

It's the ones that defaulted to #2 I have problems with. Tell me I have to believe in three gospels/that there are five gods/that there is no God, and I'm going to argue. Tell me who you are, and what's there to argue about? To be attacked or trained to conform to CCism for telling who you are? That's just wrong.

But you didn't do that.

And, okay. You don't get the humor. As a woman who has been told I have to wear dresses to church, keep my house beautiful and my hubby "happy," become a wonderful cook, learn how to can and sew, submit to anyone of the male persuasion, shut up until talked to... (
), I really do get that sense of humor.

To clarify this for those who are searching the SYM thread for YIG's posts berating Magenta, there aren't any. It was Th0mas who berated Magenta, not YIG.. :)
I was thinking Magenta had a tough week. I did hear about Thomas. Hard to believe it happened twice.

I appreciate the effort you took to verify my claim.

Unfortunately, it just won't have any impact or change the outcome, and any rational person can already see that a mile off. See, once someone makes the conscious decision to dislike someone or makes the conscious decision to be offended and reacts instead of responds, very few things under Heaven or Earth will divert them from their path.

Even if people were to concede that I have, in fact, never attacked Magenta, they all still have verbose lists of my perceived infractions, and come Hell or high water they will voice them until they get their desired outcome. They will keep doing the "yeah, but..." game from now until Rapture until they get the "justice" they believe they are entitled to. The righteous (them), shall be exalted before the Lord and the wicked (that being me) shall be cast low before their feet. Until my blood run to the height of a horse's bridle across these forums, the lynch mob will not stop playing the "yeah, but..." game and they will wear themselves out digging through my posts to read into them what they want to see to add to the list of slights, insults, and infractions against them.

I am still just going to sit back and kind of twiddle my thumbs until I hear back from the leadership of this place. I haven't heard a thing yet, so we continue to play the waiting game.
I bolded what you said that I'm responding to. Very few things under heaven or earth, but the one who made heaven and earth has done just that often enough.

As for waiting to hear from leadership on here? Assuming it hasn't happened yet, it never will. You met the site for all the good and bad about it. You're still here. Now what?
