You know that old expression, ''You cant have your cake and eat it too''? That makes absolutely no sense. First, if I cant eat the cake then why bother having it. Second, once I am in possession of said cake, what is preventing me from eating it?

That is so easy to understand, you would have to get someone to help you missunderstand it.

"I could care less", such a stupid phrase. Anyone who uses it should be hung, drawn and quartered. You could care less...okay, so why don't you care less? Ridiculous!

Does that mean you are inside out - or outside in !!!

The phrase I hate is when people say " I hear what you say" which usually means they don't!

"whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."

This is such a stupid saying to me. I get what they are trying to say and they are trying to be motivational, but if you think about it philosophically, it doesn't make any sense.

What if a person has a split personality? Or a split opinion?

Does that mean half of you can and the other half can't?

What if some days you think you can and another day you think you can't?

What if you have a hormonal/blood sugar imbalance that affects the way you think on an hourly basis?
Or adult ADHD? Then what?

I could go on. :p

It means if you eat the cake, you cant also have possession of it. It's gone.

how about, "u buttered ur bread, now eat it" there is no piont in this!! u would only butter ur bread if u were going to eat it anyway :)! therefore, people should stop reminding u of this fact that has been in ur brain since u took the butter out of the fridge!!

Even so, "I couldn't care less" could still indicate a positive rather than a negative: "I love you so much that I couldn't possibly care less about you."

Could or couldn't, it's still silly.

"So I turned around and I said to him..." Why did you have to turn around first? Was he speaking to the back of your head? Did you feel the need to perform a pirouette? Ridiculous!
