I have never heard Jesus tell His disciples to wait to cast out demons until the victim felt ready because they were afraid all hell would break loose.

Intercessor prayer is wonderful, but I wonder if you truly comprehend the gospel. I don't mean to be insulting but the true gospel has the power to set people free, while counterfeits just add more chains and lies to the person.

Your right, your church would reject you because Church of Christ doesn't really deal with demons.

You have a demon problem. Its tormenting your mind and placing visions in your head. The question is do you add to the visions your own desire to do those things or do you reject the visions and dreams the demon is trying to tempt you with?

If you reject them, then you have not sinned. Don't let the demons condemn you for the torture they inflict on you by making you feel guilty.

If you do desire to worship satan, then your root problem is a lack of knowledge of the gospel.

Please tell me which one and I will pray with you.

God bless and keep you and protect your mind and hearts from the lies of Satan. in Jesus holy name we pray, amen.

Thats really good but like said. you have to start exchangeing the the old for new. Its a process. Praise the Lord I can help you because I didnt have ANY help to get out...None at all. I had to fight it all myself to get to the point I am now. Let me give you some more advice. When you go to sleep at night pray the Lords prayer and after that pray: And now I cover this house, all windows, roof and doors with the blood of Jesus so no more evil may enter.. All evil that has entered Go now in the name of Jesus. May the Angels of the Lord protect me in all ways awake and asleep , In christ name I pray amen
If we have God's help....are we really doing it all on our own?

In truth we can do nothing in our own power. Only God's grace and love can save us.

We should not rely on human "deliverance" ministies to cast out demons but solely on God and His Holy Spirit.

People can walk along side us, encourage and uplift us but our greatest friend, protector and comforter is JESUS.

Many of the deliverance ministries out there are fake and filled with demonicalky possessed people who see to place demons into the lives of others and sell them a false gospel of works.

Not all, I have seen a few who don't work for Satan, but most are in it for the power and the glory. Jesus will say to them when they ask "did we not cast out demons in your name" "depart from me workers of inquity, I do not know you."
For they teach and believe a false gospel.

God can send a host of angels but without Jesus we would stand condemned and unworthy, because nothing we work at doing can save us from our sins.

Only Jesus blood on the cross can save us. Only the Holy Spirit can teach us.

We are never alone if we are a born again child of God because God is always with us.

Yeah about as good advice as leaving the, demon in a person to torment them.

Sorry but I don't think I would, take advice about spiritual warfare from someone whose words points people to self works and not the work God has done on the cross.

The victory has already been won. Jesus defeated Satan, and cast him out of heaven.

Why would anyone worship a loser when they can worship God who made this world, who, loves us so much,He sent Jesus to die for,the sins on the cross.

If you have the,Holy,Spirit living in your heart God will protect you from demons.

You don't need someone else to,pray to God for you, if you have been born again.

Sadly most people deceive themselves and have not, been born again.

They talk the talk but in truth they rely on their sand castles and not the Rock.

Do you have the Holy,Spirit leading and guiding you?

If you don't would you like us to pray with, you, because God says when two or more are gathered in His name, He is with us.

One of the most common problems Christians have is they assume because God works in their life in a certain way then that is the Only way. And if anyone has a different experience then it's not of God. Truth is God works in various ways. Some people struggle with addictions for years after becoming Christians, others are freed the very night they get saved, with zero effort or struggle on their part. So to presume that your experience is the only way and people coming with a faith that God can work however He wants, rather than being confined by a man made formula, shows a lacking your own wisdom, not of those you think have no business here. That's merely your opinion. God can use Ariel's words to have a greater effect than yours, if He chooses. And it's not your place to tell others that their faith and desire to help don't belong because it doesn't fit into your personal, single experience that you have taken upon yourself to deem it the only way God can work.

Thanks ugly, when I was younger and fighting my own demons. Those words probably would, have made me leave the conversation and follow the bad advice of letting the demons keep their playground until someone more qualified came by and did the work God tells us All born again Believers have the power to do.

Which is to cast out demons, pray that God surround them with angels and stand strong upon the, gospel truth of being clothed in the blood of the Lamb.

For no weapon made can harm us if we stand upon the Rock of our salvation. He is my shield and my comforter.

If God is with us, then who can stand against us?

Not to be rude but please slow down a bit with your criticism. Demi is a young lady and we as adults need to be careful of how we are speaking to them. She is right that not just anyone can cast out demons. Jesus disciples questioned Him as to why demons were not responding to them. Jesus said "fasting and prayer". The verse comes to mind" lay hold on no man quickly" Yes, the OP can be completely delivered but those that pray with him had better know who they are in Christ.

I had a missionary friend tell me this story... He was at some sort of conference,I believe it was in Africa. Either way they came upon a demon possessed man. They agreed that they would fast and pray that night and meet in the morning to pray with him and cast the demon out. So the next morning the pastors gathered around the man to pray. He became violent and suddenly turned around and pointed at one of the pastors and said " I see porridge in your stomach!!" So we need to be careful when we are dealing with possession.

As I said in my post, we need to be very careful when dealing with demon possession. It is different than other addictions and Demi is right that if you dont have knowledge of possession you need to leave it to people that do. I have seen people violently attack people trying to pray over demon possessed people. I dont know how far the OP has descended into possession but to get truly free she needs someone who is prayed up,fasted up and ready to take on the enemy head on.

I don't know if it could actually be considered an addiction by most people's standards but for me it is. I know what it is to be tempted by sin and having to choose to not do it but this is much stronger. When I'm tempted by it I almost go into a panic cuz I almost always give in and I don't want to. I am addicted to Satan worship. I know that sounds apsolutely insane but it's true. I don't kill anything or make sacrifices but just just like a Christian would pray to God, read andmeditate on scripture, I pray to Satan and meditate on him and the way this makes me feel is something I can't resist. You prolly can't believe this after what I just said but I actually am a Christian or at least I got saved many years ago but after this last going back to Satan thing I'm not so sure I could ever go back to God anymore. What's the point? I just keep doing this. The scariest part is I have 3 small children that I Have been trying to raise as Christians and I don't want them hurt.

First of all,do you understand what you are inviting into your life, and the life of your children. The job of satan is to destroy and if you keep on this path you will be destroyed. This is something that is very serious. Do you attend church yourself? Read the Bible or try to pray? God can deliver you,He wants to,but He cannot act against your will. If you had cancer and there was a remedy you could take to stop it wouldn't you be crazy not to take the cure? Well, what you are doing is a spiritual cancer. It may comfort you now but one day the evil one will take hold of you. He will wrap you in bondage and take you to hell. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but you need to understand. The devil tricks you into a comfort zone,at first it feels good, but as he slowly takes control he begins to strangle the life out of you bit by bit until its too late to turn back.

You said you were once a Christian? First things first, confess this to God and give your life back to Him. If there is a church that is evangelical in your area you need to join it. You are in danger and you need to turn away from satan and toward God before its too late. You can be saved and delivered of this but you have to make a choice not to give in to satan. Unless you invite the Lord in to your situation, you cannot be healed of this.

I apologize for speaking to her as I would any grown sister in Christ, obviously I should baby her instead?

Her age should not,be the, reason we watch our words.

We should watch our words no matter who we speak with.

So I do sincerely apologize if I offend anyone but there is so much lies out there and so many people who are afraid to stand up to demons and tell them to leave.

Unless the person has the Holy Spirit and can hear God speaking and moving in their life, they will be vunerable until they have deep roots and become mature in faith and doctrine.

What God calls us to do is come along side and pray with them until they are strong enough in faith to pray for us and our other brothers and sisters in Christ.

I challenge all who read to not be afraid to pray and cast out demons you see in the lives around you. Then be there to pray with them so they might understand the gospel and be saved and sealed by the Holy Spirit.

When I was younger I dabbled in many things I'm not proud of. I have done many other things I'm not proud of as well. Before I was saved 2 weeks ago I was truly running from God and Jesus. I at one time didn't want anything to do with them. I viewed God and Jesus wrongly. I thought like this at that time at least why would I want them when they allow me to suffer so badly. I was practically to the point of even warring and wanting to hurt Christians. I was delivered by the blood of Jesus Christ and made into a new creation through Him and sealed by the Holy Spirit. I don't like thinking about me being so at odds with God. I was shaking my fist at Him. Yet His love mercy and grace accepted me home with my confession and accepting Christ into my heart.

I know that certain things can have a strong hold in your life if the roots are deep enough. Prayer can sever these roots but genuine faith is key to having this happen. Anyone who harbors doubt in their heart will have a hard time with this. Pray to God to sever the roots and pray in Jesus name to burn the roots from your life so that no remnant remains.

After that pray prayers of dominion. Anyone who has accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior can pray that the enemy has no hold over you and must leave in the name of Jesus Christ. The demons can't do anything unless they are allowed to do it. Don't give into the temptation if you feel tempted say no in the name of Jesus Christ I am a child of God and you have no hold or dominion in my life I order you to leave me and my household in Jesus name I pray a hedge of protection around my family and home in Jesus name.

The key is being proactive and keeping the environment inhospitable to the enemy. It's harder for them to put hooks in you if you are in the word daily pray continuous and also keep wholesome things in. In other wirwords garbage in garbage out. Be careful what you watch, see, listen to, read, or go around. You tend to conform to what's around you the most.

In the name of Jesus Christ I pray for my brother that he may be delivered from the enemies clutches. I pray that you sever the very root of the problem and burn out any remnant of the roots that remain. I pray a hedge of protection go around everyone in the household. Lord I pray you renew his heart mind and soul and deliver him from the strong hold the enemy has built in his life. In the name if Jesus I order the unclean spirits to leave him and his household never to return and seal every entrance and exit to keep them from returning. In Jesus name deliver him and his family from this evil. The evil has no dominion in their lives and must leave in Jesus name!!! Amen. God bless you brother.

Algopurple,

I can't imagine what you are going through, and I really hate platitudes, but in this case I would like to offer a few simple thoughts that might contribute to a solution for you.

First, focus on loving Jesus more than trying to resist sin or the devil. Read the Gospel of John over and over, and take notes, to better understand Jesus' love for you. Write out in your own words what you think various passages are telling you. (One thought is to start your own "commentary" on John and other meaningful scriptures for you. You might even want to use a computer for this to keep it organized and handy.)

Second, as often as you possibly can, repeat in your thinking "Thank you Jesus." This will invite Jesus into your thinking and help chase the devil away. Thank Jesus for anything and everything you can think of.

Third, memorize some Bible verses and reflect on those as often as you think to.

Fourth, look for an emotionally healthy spiritually mature small group to get involved with and ask them for prayer. (God said it is not good for man to be alone.)

Fifth, never give up. No matter how many times a person gets knocked down, the winner always gets up one more time, and the loser doesn't. (This is one of the ways we grow our faith in God. Do we have enough faith to try "one more time"?)

No matter what the original cause, and no matter how well or poorly you have dealt with this problem so far, God wants to do a miracle in your life so you can, 1)glorify Him forever for helping you grow through this (and any other problem) in your life, 2) learn how to navigate through a difficult situation in this life by growing closer to Him, and 3) learn how to help others with similar problems grow closer to God as you did through this one.

I am sure there is good advice listed above this post. Consider it all prayerfully.

But above all else, for my one and a half cents worth, I invite you to fight the devil by loving Jesus more and more each day. I think that is the one thing the enemy hates most of all.

It may be that the more you use negative temptations as motivations to grow closer to Jesus, the less the enemy will want to tempt you.

Glorious Heavenly Father, I come to you right now in the name of your One and Only human born Son, Jesus of Nazareth, who died on the cross in my place and three days later rose to life. I ask for your mighty blessing and guidance on the person using the name, Algopurple. Save him/her from the traps and power of the enemy. Grant him/her a close loving relationship with your Holy Son and teach them how to help others in love, humility, wisdom and truth. I ask this in the name of your holy and beloved Son, Messiah Jesus.

I didn't say baby her, but your comments came across as snarky. I just think we should be careful of how we are talking to younger people in the Lord.

I dont think one should be fearful, but wise. Demons are nothing to play with. I see to many who think they know what they are doing and make things worse. So I was just cautioning people. You need to know what you are doing in these issues.

Matthew 12: 43“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.

Acts 19: 15One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” 16Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

John 14: 12Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

If you're not ready and willing to get your house in order, would it not then be best to leave them be than to invite the condition to worsen?

If you are not strong in the Lord would it not be better to avoid setting yourself up to be attacked?

Did Jesus say we are to sit back and let Him do all the work, or did He say that in His Name and Authority WE are to take action?

Demons are not to be fooled around with. The Bible shows them to be volatile and resistant, and warns us not to dawdle with them if we are not fully prepared and ready to DO what needs to be done.

OP:

- If you use any items in worshipping satan, thrown them away.
- When you get the urge to do what you know you shouldn't, look for a subsitute
(If you are into exercise, something that takes you to the edge of your limit might give you a good "kick",)
- See if you can find people in church that will pray for you.

Jesus can deliver us from anything. Have faith that He can and pray that He frees you from it. I know it's hard. I wrestle with my own demons myself. I pray over it everyday. They whisper in my ear telling me of all the bad things I did. I deny their hold and cast them away in Jesus Christ's name. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. Jesus protects His children. Pray for deliverance and you will receive it.

A fired up Christian shouldn't be that big a deal. Our love for Him should be an overpowering desire to serve and be in His presence. We are called to stand out from the crowd and be the salt of the earth.

No we need to pray, and trust that God knows what He is doing.
