Regardless of who is in office God is in control. Why do we look to a man to solve present day affairs?
Did not the Lord say " if my people shall call upon my name"? What is to hard for the Lord?
I see these types of threads often but our fate lies in the hand of the Lord.
The U.S. has done and continues doing many good things which we don't hear about. We have also done evil. We continue to support Israel, not that any of this puts us good in checks and balances with God but he is the one that decides.

It actually does: "I will bless those who bless you, and those who curse you, I will curse." (Genesis 12:3)

Sadly, the current administration in Washington has turned it's back on Israel, which only adds to our troubles.

just to jump in here. my opinion of the sad state of affairs here in the u.s. is this. before we as a nation can do anything, we desperately above most all things is to LEARN TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR ACTIONS. most kids are taught from an early age that nothing is really your fault, our colleges have become socialism factories, and people are born into and die still on a welfare system.

re-learning to take care of and take honest looks at ourselves without the lenses of political correctness, victim mentality, etc.. are paramount to pointing back in the right direction. soapbox closed, thanks for reading.

The world is the world, it has always been too far gone.

Are we not aliens in a foreign country?
I have never been at home or felt safe other than in Gods hands.

I wonder that there is love in the world and that in general above all the rubbish there is still hope and life out there.

We can only really effect those we know and love. So that is where I spend my time and effort, the rest is in the Lords hands.

Seeking opinions....

Do you believe America has fallen so far morally, we are now on the path of no return?
Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Mark 13:8 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.

Revelation 12:2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.

Revelation 12: 5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. 6 The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

2 Timothy 3:2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,

Titus 1:8-10 Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. [ Rebuking Those Who Fail to Do Good ] For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group.

2 Thessalonians 2: 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

Matthew 23:12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled (Bowing down in shame, repentance), and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

All these things must happen in order for mankind true nature to be reveal. And once it is revealed, everyone heads will be bowed in shame before God, because of what is in their hearts has been exposed..

You know, this thing about blessing Israel has long produced mixed feelings in me.

First, are not many things in the OT are superceded by the NT? Jesus came and gave us a new covenant.
No more animal sacrifice, no more temple, no more slavish law.

Second, are we not grafted into the Jewish, and Israelite family through Jesus?
Didn't Jesus make clear that the family of God, the priestly nation, was those that believed in Him?
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 NIV
Peter is not talking about the Jews here. He is speaking of us.

Third, did not God grant Israel a certificate of divorce, finally, after all their years of spiritual adultery, late in the OT?
I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her away because of all her adulteries. Yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear; she also went out and committed adultery. Jer. 3:8 NIV.

Fourth, when we bless each other as Christians, are not blessing the spiritual seed of Abraham? Abraham was credited with faith.
Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness. Gen 15:6. NIV

I am not saying that we should not help, or bless Israel. They are like an errant brother, or cousin, who is lost. So yes, we must help them. But I believe in these times, we should be focusing our aid on the spiritual, not the material, regarding Israel. That is where they need the blessings.
As far as those who curse Israel, we should be spiritually against those nations. We should do all we can to discourage that. They are a plague on the earth.
I would say that we should also help Israel to financially.
But I think we should as concerned or even be more concerned with helping each other, as Christians first, regarding blessing each other. When we bless each other, we are blessing Abram's seed, when we curse each other (God forbid) we are cursing Abram's spiritual seed.
We owe so much to Israel. God has blessed all the earth through Israel. Indeed, many of us here in America habe linage going back to the lost 10 tribes.
But Israel, the Jews, have disqualified themselves as exclusive participants in Gods promise to "bless those...". They have squandered their inheritance, wandering once again in a spiritual desert.
Israel no longer carries the message of God to the nations, as God had originally intended.
