I can't say that ALL soldiers are given the access to the mental care that they need, but I do known that a large number of them refuse the care that is available. Needless to say, the shrinks that combat vets are sent to to deal with PTSD are commissioned officers who (due to their qualifications) have never seen a day of combat.
All too often vets walk out on PTSD treatment because of the all too masculine ideology that says, "you haven't been through what I have, so how can you possibly understand what I'm going through, much less help me deal with it"
