So exactly how did Christ walk? Upon baptism water, he went out and was tested by the Devil, not God. Jesus now had the anointing of God on him as John the Baptist stated he saw and testified to.
So did Jesus do anything or say anything on his own? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he did whatever the Father told him, through the Holy Ghost.
After he did his work here in earth and went to the cross, died and rose again, hung around resurrected for 40 days, and telling the disciples why all these things had to come to pass, he was going to go to the Father, and send us the Holy Ghost. At that time it was to them the Holy Ghost was coming, and the day of Pentecost came. Born again
Okay so today when one believes in the Christ, it is for the finished work of Christ, That Christ is the one that makes us righteous by Christ and we abide in Faith in this, as a banana hanging off the branch abides in the branch for life, while the branch abides in the tree and the tree in the nutrients from the ground all for life.
So it is the same for new life here and now in God, through the cross, death, burial as being our death to self, then risen life being our new life in the Spirit of God. See this Spiritually from God
It is all God and none of anyone else that has made new life possible
So either I can go on trying not to sin or I can see the finality of the cross, where he has made me perfect in him through Son and receive the new life, and learn to renew my mind into and unto Father's perspective. Spirit thinking not flesh
It is good to want to obey, it is better to believe God and thus the response is obey, without flesh pride in the way.
Love you, here is some scriptures to see
Colossians 1:22 in the body of his flesh through death, to
present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye
sin not.
And
if any man
sin, we
have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
(see that Christ is our mediator to Father as being perfect so if we sin we can go to Father and be taught by Father how we stepped out and back into flesh walk over the Spirit walk.)
1 John 2:12 I write unto
you, little children, because
your sins
are forgiven you for his name’s sake.
So yes definitely we should walk as he walked. But we can't, not without the Holy Ghost leading and we listening and doing as the Holy Ghost leads
John 16:13 Howbeit when he,
the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all
truth: for he shall not speak
of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,
that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 14:17 even the Spirit of truth; whom
the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
So today how is the only way God is worshipped?
John 4:23 But the hour cometh,
and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in
spirit and in
truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:24 God
is a
Spirit:
and they that worship him must worship
him in
spirit and in
truth.
So don't we need to discern then between Spirit of God and flesh?
1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the
spirit of
truth,
and the
spirit of error.
Galatians 4:29 But as then he that was born after the
flesh persecuted him
that was born after the
Spirit, even so
it is now.
And we try to get flesh to behave, how absurd, yes? When it is in the Spirit that we behave to God, yet not us it is actually God living God's life through us, by belief.
Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the
Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the
flesh.
