quote=Muskokaman;529753]Actully Beth he died at home in his first church and his own daughter who is now high priestess of his doctrine acknowledges his last words as well and as you just stated he was heavily medicated just before his death due to the pain he was suffering through he spoke no words in his last week of life save those which I have told you I am not just making this up as I go along. One of the few benefits of having been a self proclaimed atheist turned christian is all the knowledge I gained in that time while I was lost, kind of a testament to to the rewards of evil as it were. This is why I am on a mission to try and help those who do not have the benefit of the knowledge I posess in order to do the good works of our Lord. This is my self appointed pennance inrepentance of the wicked life I once led and from time to time find myself falling back into due to lack of faith on my part.
peace and love to you

perhaps I should rephrase to save the confusion sorry my bad
I said that he spoke no words in his last week of life save.....(except)... those which I had already told you
Which were:
"OH NO...... NO, NO........ THIS IS ALL WRONG.......WHAT HAVE I DONE"
Basically as I understand it he was given sight to see...and actually saw hell just before he died
There were many of his followers present at his death as this is a time that satanist's believe is very powerful.... and in Lavey's case, as their high priest he hands down his powers and of course they, the followers, all want a piece of the action or his powers!
personally I'm glad the lord found me
hope this clears it up
Not sure where you are getting your info, Muskokaman, but you've got some wrong info never the less.
He died in St. Marys Medical Center in Sanfrancisco, Ca. Once again, it was NOT proven that he said ANYTHING. The ONLY source of this information that I have found was a female televangelist that was probably looking for ratings. She didnt say how she heard this, or from where or who or anything. Televangelists are known for lying and scamming people out of their hard earned money. I have no doubt this is the case. But even if he did say these words, it makes no difference to me. It is NOT proof of "seeing hell" or anything. How can you jump to such bizarre speculations?
There were NO reported "followers" present at his death. And frankly, I doubt he would have wanted them to have been there anyway. He was very misanthropic and didnt like being around people too much.
Satanits do NOT believe that death is powerful time...lol where are you getting this stuff from? You obviously don't know much about how we are. Death is a time of weakness. LaVey himself has said "Life is the great indulgence, death is the great abstinence". Death is not a powerful time at all. Satanism is all about LIFE. Nothing to do with death. It's a very here and now type religion. What sort of power could possibly come out of death?
"he hands down his powers and his followers want a piece of his powers"???? Not sure what you are talking about. Mabe you are thinking of some other religion...or something strange like Witchcraft that actually deals wtih magic spells or something....I have no idea....LaVey had NO power to pass on to anyone...
So...I hope this clears something up for you.
To everyone else, you guys must feel like your getting quite a LaVey history lesson! I am sorry about this biographical nonsense. You don't need to hear this stuff if you don't want to. I would be more than happy to discuss the principals of our philosophy if asked. But I never intend on forcing it down anyone's throat. So this will be my last mention of LaVey unless someone else starts saying something else that is wrong or stupid. The internet is full of mis-information. We don't need to add to it. I will try my best to clear up any misunderstandings anyone has.
But for the record, Satanism is a healthy and applicable religion in modern day society. It does NOT promote suicide, death, or destruction of any kind. It is about tolerance of ALL religion. It is about happiness. It is about control. We are about indulgence...NOT compulsion. We believe in our earthly bodies. Carnal pleasures. We are loving and caring people to those who love and care for us. We even believe in certain aspects of the Christian Bible. Personally, I think the Christian Bible is wonderful Bible to live your life by for the most part. There are some great teachings in there. I just don't believe in it in a literal way. I think it is more metaphorical stories to help inspire a kind and healthy society.
Hope this clears some things up! Thank you everyone!
EDIT
and thank you, Zeroturbulance, for your kind words!!!
