children can't be fooled , they become adults and then they are able to choose which path to go. michelle, Christianity is a personal relationship , some people know the whole bible , have knowledge of everything that's in there but that doesnt mean anything. .. i said this on another post on another thread , i grew up hearing about God but i never knew Him , to me God was what i was told, so one day already grown up and able to decide i decided God didnt exist ... u say u are satanist , i was becoming a nihilist , and there are a million other labels for the same thing...
i tell u michelle, God is not people , His character is not the same , u are disappointed with people , not with God because with God u would never getu disappointed. He wants a relationship with u , and thats personal .. redemption is personal , redemption from our fallen condition . satanists, atheists, buddhists, muslims, none is able to save himself , i cannot save myself , i dont even know how to live , i only mess things up , theres jealousy , envy, hate in me , who can save me from all this mess? i cannot redeem myself thats for sure , i can try to do all good in the world still that wouldnt make up for my lot of wrongdoings.

Theres just so many scientific ways to explain these things you mention. Small children are very impressionable. They get a little glimpse of something and they NEED to know more about it. They could have heard something on tv, or over heard some stranger talk about God or anything. And if not, it's still understandable that they are curious like everyone about where they came from. Usually, they are probably told the stork! lol.

I actually experienced something myself. And, as you know, I dont believe in anything and have no reason to make anything up... But it wasnt near death or anything but I was hallucinating the most terrible of things and I heard crazy things....I was completely delusional and irrational. I didnt take any drugs or anything. There is no reason for this to happen. But I saw scary things...I thought I was going to die taht night. I dont know if I had a psychological break or what. But it was so devastating. I was sure I would die that night. It's almost impossible to describe. I saw faces in the walls. Creatures. It's like every horror movie or terrible thought you've ever had came to life all around you. It was like hell.

It finally stopped and I just couldnt believe it stopped. I was waiting for it to come back and it did that night but it wasnt as bad. I saw people as corpses. Really bad things. I dont even like talking about it. But I have no explaination as to why it happened.

Was it demons? Mild schizophrenia? I dont know.

But it hasnt happened since and I never want it to happen again.
what made them stop? what did you agree to?

were you raped when you were 14?

I dont know what made them stop. It happened on and off for about 2 weeks. Not constantly. Just here and there...some times only for a few minutes. It was never as bad as the first night though. That was the longest and worst. It never was anywhere near like that first night.

I looked up a lot of things and there are 3 kinds of schizophrenia. The most mild can last about 2 weeks...like what I experienced. and can be brought on by extreme stress or depression. The 2nd can last anywhere up to about 6 months and usually because of stress/depression/or something traumatizing. The 3rd is the worst and can last years or life long. That is usually genetic and can also be brought on with the previously stated symptoms.

I don't remember being particularly stressed or anything. But maybe I was? I had some relationship issues that I guess may have been effecting my mind.

I was never raped and find it funny but sad that that is a stereotype in a lot of christian communities when the topic of satanism comes up...they always think/assume that something bad had to have happened for someone to turn to such a horrible thing as Satanism! No one happy and feeling great would possibly do that!

We should talk...Maybe you can answer some questions for me?
This is a real good website that answers a lot of questions about God. They have 30 minute videos on many topics, and it is taught by a former high school earth science teacher, who was once an atheist, but became a Christian when he set out to prove that God didn't exist, but ended up convincing himself that God does exist.

Does God Exist?

=( Schizophrenia is a hard thing to cope with. There may have also been some sleep paralysis thrown in there to make things worse. but I can easily see how it would be traumatizing.

But yeah, I know how you feel about the rape thing. I've gotten that at least 3 times on here when I came out as a lesbian to some people. It's a terrible thing to trivialize.

it is a terrible thing that a question can make you feel trivialized.

Misplaced of confidence in anything other then God makes for shaky foundations.

so how did you find cc and why do you keep coming back?

Wow, you don't like me that much, do you?

I don't think that I'm being trivialized, I just think it's not a good idea to trivialize rape, because well, it's a horrible thing. You shouldn't just think that because a woman has had any kind of traumatic experience or has made a life decision you disagree with that they chose it because they were raped.

Also I came here because I was bored and stayed for the decent people that I have met.

I've found that there is a general stereotype among Christian folk...not all, but in an unhealthy majority that they make an unfair generalization that if you are a terrible hedonistic lesbian or one of those scary satanic people...you couldnt have possibly made that decision out of your own free will. you must be depressed. you must have been abused or had something terrible happen to you or you wouldnt do that.

Every calls you a very bright girl Michelle. :) I don't think they are wrong.

But tell me this, when was the last time you trusted, ANY human to teach you about the truth?

I don't trust any person, not even myself when it comes to, ''ALL KNOWLEDGE.'' Nope.

When you were born, what did you know? Did you believe the way you do now? Or do you just believe something someone taught you? Did you draw your own conclusions from other people? If so, then how could we trust your knowledge? It would just be he says she says. I can give you a fair warning now, if you put your trust in any wisdom that comes from people, you will fell EVERY single time.

So do you have your own knowledge or borrowed knowledge?

Well, I've said it before and I'll say it again...I am VERY misanthropic. I don't trust easily. I don't have many friends. And I don't mind. So in that sense, I don't trust humans very often, especially as I've seen first hand the corruption of knowledge and the lying both intentionally and unintentionally. BUT...I don't believe in a spiritual being. I believe in science..lab-tested, and proven without a shadow of a doubt.

Obviously no one knows anything when they are born. We all draw conclusions from other people, and learn and form opinions based on other people.

The knowledge you have is from yourself and other people. You've based your opinions on idea's someone told you. You learned things from others. Did God speak to you directly? Have you heard his voice? Was it deep or high? No. You've thought long and hard about things...and contemplated your issues and figured out your problems on your own...without God's help. If you consider "God" your subconscious...it's just your own thoughts. It's your ideas. Your answering your own questions.

Ahhh. So Michelle, tell me, if you were born in Saudi Arabia, would you be a Muslim? You are telling me that what I believe is subject to who I am around? If that is the only way to know, then what good is what you believe v.s what I believe. In that case that would make both you and I liars, and neither of us would know the truth.

If the truth is the truth, then it is absolute. Agreed? So if I suppose to know the truth, and you suppose to know the truth, and we don't agree... UH OH!!

So who can you trust to know the truth? And many people say they know the truth.... Pleas respond.

May Jesus bless you.

Except heres the thing: I never claimed to know the truth! lol. I've always admitted I didnt know. I don't pretend to know. I don't have all the answers. And that is precisely what every other religion does.

I will say that if you were born in Saudi Arabia, there would CERTAINLY be a higher percentage of a chance that you would be Muslim. Just like there was a HUGE chance I would have been christian, given my christian upbringing. I am in the minority. I dont want to sound egotistical, but yes, I beat the odds in a sense. Nothing is a gurantee. If you had been born somewhere else, you certainly could have still been christianity. But where you are from and what you were taught does indeed play a big role.

:) Very interesting. But don't you want to know the truth?

For instance, many give you a hope that as long as you do good deeds you can go to heaven and marry virgins. Sounds good huh? Sure it does.

Some say you come back as an animal of some sort. Sounds cool huh? (Sounds weird to me).

But I say, if one dies and does not repent of sin, they will go to hell where they are tortured day and night forever and ever.

Well, the first two don't sound that bad, and many people would RATHER believe them, because they sound okay. I had a hard time with the 3rd one myself, until the Lord revealed to me the reality of it.

Some times the truth doesn't sound good, in fact, the truth sounds crazy to those who would rather believe a lie to suit their own feelings.

And unfortunately, many Christians have done this with MUCH of the truth.

By the way, I did not learn one thing I know about Jesus from any man. UH OH...

Michelle94, the fear of the judgement of a Living Almighty God is the beginning of true knowledge and wisdom. For instance you most likely will agree with me that the women's liberation movement was a great and noble thing to happen in America. Well i always thought that also. However the truth of the matter is far more sinster than anyone knows.
The women's liberation movement was spear-headed by the Rockafella foundation and had two main goals. 1) To tax the other half of the family or women if you will by working that creates more taxable income. 2) To destroy and deconstruct the foundation of the american family. These things are common-knowledge. Study about the women's liberation movement and perhaps you will come to understand that we (all of humanity) stand upon a great cataylst. We are all falling head-long into the firepit of hell.
We all deserve death for destroying the precepts of Almighty God in our lives. These things are not new, these things were not done in secret but in plain sight. Do you believe in justice? Do you believe Almighty God is a fool or one to whom you can reason? The Living God loves you so much, so very much He created you, He has watched you and protected you, He has given His own Son to die in your place that you might know the righteousness of His might and power. Praise God, may the peace of The Holy Spirit be upon you and lead you into all truth and knowledge.

I haven't read all the posts (as usual, I'm lazy), but I just have to say that I am really impressed with your intellect, Michelle94! Satanist or not, I just love the way you think! One day you will be a great defender of the christian faith. I can dream can't I? :) Never thought I'd say this to a satanist, but I think I'm actually glad you are here. Welcome to CC :)
Some of the most famous Christian saints started off much worse. She's young, curious about philosophy, and willing to engage in dialogue. Who knows, she may end up becoming a canonized saint.

Please don't do that.

I don't know how many times I have to see someone call someone Satan, or a demon. Every person is a person. Flesh. Bones, a soul.

Every life is precious, like a jewel buried in the earth. Sometimes you have to dig deep to pull out the jewel, but when it is pulled out, it is worth the toil!!

I believe that that is the error to those who will say, ''Lord, haven't we cast out demons in your name?''

Please my friend.

May Jesus bless you.

Woah! Is that what Muskokaman was talking about? He thinks I'm Satan Himself? or a demon? Or a human that is merely demon posessed? I wasnt sure what he was talking about...but was that seriously it?

I must say...I'm very proud of that allegation! I must have done quite a job making myself look better than just a mere mortal. Even though I don't believe in such preposterous things as demons, I must take this accusation as a compliment!
