Everything to me boils down to predestination. God knows all. Essentially, it's about choosing good over evil. He already knows the end results. For me, It's about walking in His will, listening, and trusting that God's got this! I'll know the why's when He reveals them...I mean...can our puny human brains really even fathom all His truths? I think not.

If you look at Jesus life while he was on this earth he exhibited one of humility which is the opposite of pride. So God's attribute is humility because Jesus said to his disciples if you have seen me you have seen the Father. Therefore satan was trying to assume a higher position than he was given by God and pride started in him as God originally created him with humility and over time Lucifer became prideful within himself it was nothing that God gave him.
