I apologize, but it seems to me that you have already ejected from your Bible the book of the prophet Ezekiel, and with it also the Revelation of John.
I have not rejected any book of the Bible. BUT, there are 64 other books, that you seem to have forgotten to read. Ezekiel is probably one of the most difficult books in the OT to interpret, and the same for Revelation in the NT. I have read them many times - at least 50, because that is how many times I have read the Bible! I read those books each time I read the Bible. I have also studied both books in Seminary and read about 15 books on Revelation, including Greek Exegetical Commentaries. I have also read a few commentaries on Ezekiel, written by Biblical scholars, who understand Hebrew as well as English. I took a course by Dr Daniel Block, who wrote two volumes on Ezekiel for "the New International Commentary on the Old Testament." Very thick commentaries!
The problem is not me - but you! You have become obsessed with a fantasy, and you have not properly exegetes this entire proposal you have presented in this forum.
So how many times have you read the rest of the Bible, besides Revelation and Ezekiel? Because, hermeneutically, you need to formulate doctrine from the whole Bible, not just two books. For real theology, you need to understand the original languages. So that means reading and writing Hebrew and Greek.
But, the real point of your exclusiveness, and leaving out the rest of the Bible, is that you have lost the real gospel message. You say Hebrews was written to the Jews, and it was. But it is still beneficial for us to read, and to learn more about God. Every word of the Bible is true, and profitable to study, and to grow and learn.
But the hypocrisy is saying Hebrews was written to the Jews, but yet, who was Ezekiel written to? It certainly was not written to believers in the 21st century! It was written to the Jews of that era.
Once again, I am going to plead with you to read the New Testament. Mark was written to the Romans, Luke was written to Greeks and John was written to the larger church Gentiles and Jews. So leave out Matthew, since it was written to the Jews. But you will find Jesus Christ written in every page of the gospels. And the rest of the NT! In fact, the entire Bible is the revelation of Jesus Christ!
If you have missed Jesus, you have missed everything! Only Jesus saves! Not any work of building a temple, or keeping the Torah laws or any other combination of works that do not come from God.
"For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast." Eph. 2:8-9
Notice, that you need faith and God will give you that faith to believe that Jesus died for our sins, rose from the dead, appeared to 500 people and then ascended into heaven. He will return one day for a church without spot or wrinkle. The word "church" in Greek is ekklesia ἐκκλεσία. It comes from the Greek words Kaleo - καλέω, which means "I call," and ek ἐκ which means "out of." Put those two Greek words together and it means "called out ones." It is the people who believe in Jesus as Saviour, Lord and Messiah. It is not a building, church or temple.
Do you believe that Jesus came to die for your sins? Do you repent of your sins and turn to Jesus Christ? This is the most basic I can put the gospel.
"When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2:27-39
"But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[a] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." Romans 10"8-10
When I read your writing, your strange side stepping of the true meaning of the Bible, I see someone who is totally off track, and even perhaps a bit mentally deranged. I don't say this to insult you, but the thread of what you have written is not normal, it is not based on scholarship or a knowledge of the bible, and even more important is the fact that you have left Jesus out of the equation, except as some deity who comes back when YOU have built your imaginary temple in the wilderness. How sad to be so close, and yet so far from God!
