The gospel - loving Jesus
1. Conviction of sin, they were cut to the heart
2. Repentance, turning from sin to walk in righteousness,
3. Faith in Christ and the cross, for the forgiveness of sins
4. Obedience and walking in Jesus's way.
“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”
When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
Acts 2:36-39
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.
Acts 2:42-43
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matt 11:29-30
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them."
John 14:23
I can believe and walk in these things yet emotionally I am still a wreck.
This is where sanctification and through obedience we change.
We become what we sow, we are the building of the work Jesus leads us into.
The wreck we are is the building the world made without God in our lives, which Jesus
will reform and remold as we walk.
Halleluyah He has saved us to know His presence and love in our lives everyday.
It appears some here do not know these realities in their lives even though they have
spent all their lives in church. It proves though you can be very religious, it does not
necessarily change your heart, unless you let love in.
All we know is where were we are, and the keys to progress can be very illusory.
